🏷️ About:
JoyLit is a novel app designed specifically for avid readers, aiming to provide users with a high-quality and captivating reading experience.
【Diverse Genres】
As a platform dedicated to curating premium books, JoyLit offers a wealth of literary resources, covering various genres and styles of novels.
I would’ve given JoyLit 5 stars if it didn’t try to force me to buy coins. I get that people buying coins is the main way they make money, but I’m a broke college student with zero dollars to my name I can’t buy coins even if I wanted to. It has been weeks since it started showing me the super benefits thing and it isn’t going away. I have over a thousand coins to spend but I can’t spend them without buying more coins (that I can’t afford). I really hope the super benefits thing stops soon because other than that I like JoyLit but if I can’t read the stories I started soon I will look for another app.
Key Rord: Read

I gave it a star because the ads look like they might have good quality storytelling. However, since I don’t read any Oriental language, I can’t even choose a book to read. I am a voracious reader but I also have to be sure that the book is appropriate to read. I don’t want to have to bleach my brain after reading it! I don’t mind reading books from different cultures, but the key word for me is is read. So when the language becomes appropriate to the buyer (I.e., US is English and Spanish; Canada is English & French), let me know. I’ll check it out again & maybe upgrade the stars!
Changing half way through

by I Want To Read More
I love the books but what I don’t like is half way through the names change to Chinese then I have to figure out who they are referring to all of a sudden. If you translate to English please make sure you fix even the name who do I have to make a make a who section to keep track of the name change and who is who so I am not lost. Also it would be nice to have the choice of switching back and forth from regular reading to audio. It takes me much longer to read your books because I can’t switch to audio when driving. I would read so much more books if I can switch back and forth. Now I can listen in the gym too
Scam/Expensive app- not worth it

I have finished 1 book total on JoyLit: what happens in Vegas… I had to buy coins and I got through it but the price keeps increasing and gets ridiculously expensive once you buy coins. I purchased over 3000 coins the first time and 2 days ago I purchased 2400, I didn’t even get to finish “He wants me back after the divorce” because it’s ridiculously long and quite expensive, when I attempted to go to the next chapter they said my coins were finished. I bought them like yesterday or 2 days ago max. There are a lot of grammatical errors in this book and it’s almost like some parts jumped ahead or skipped but I am truly disappointed about my coins. I believe I was robbed, there is no way I used 2400 coins in less than 2 days especially when I’m not reading all day. In addition I get the free coins for reading so how is that possible. I have yet to get the free 135 coins during this promo for reading 120 mins, yet I’ve used all the coins I bought? That is so ridiculous. I will never recommend JoyLit. I’m going to find something better. Not worth it.
The books I’ve started reading have been pretty good so far, but after about a week and a half of reading basically a chapter a day since that’s all the free coins cover (sometimes 2 days since you earn a very small amount of free coins) I am at a point where I can’t continue reading ANY of the stories I’ve started unless I purchase coins. I’ve started a small handful of different stories that I’d read through the first 6 (free) chapters when I couldn’t unlock a chapter. Most of them have minimal spelling/grammar errors, but one or 2 have had quite a lot and the writing has just been difficult to read/follow. I will likely be deleting JoyLit because I will end up spending stupid amounts of money on books when I could just buy books direct from an author for a fraction of the cost. I would consider keeping it and putting some money into it if I had other options to pay like PayPal or credit card like some of the other reading apps rather than only being able to use Apple Pay in JoyLit .
Horrible app

by Leahmg84
They get you hooked by letting you read the first handful of chapters and then charge you an unreasonable amount of coins to read each chapter after that. Yes, you can earn coins by watching ads, letting them put pop ups on your phone and then they give you a small amount daily to check-in. I was doing those things and it took me 5 days to get enough points for 1 chapter. Yes, you are seeing that correctly, only 1 chapter! If I want to purchase points to read the book it would cost more than just buying a book at a book store or online. I’m definitely never going to recommend JoyLit and I’m going to get rid of it because it’s basically pointless, unless I’m just wanting to throw money away to finish reading the book that was actually pretty decent but I refuse to spend $40 to finish in a timely manner.
This app would have potential if…

The reason I gave JoyLit only one star is because of the option to earn free coins. It’s pretty much non existent. “Giving” us such a small amount of free coins won’t keep people reading the books. Also chapters are way too short, and books have too many chapters (900 or more). Developer would have much better chance to keep users if they gave us an option of earning free coins through watching the add or visiting the website (like chapters do with the diamonds). I will delete JoyLit after I finish the book I am reading right now. It is not worth of time and money to continue to use it. JoyLit would have potential if developers change the way of earning free coins. The way that app is operated now sends the user the message that they are money grabbing app, and that stops people from spending money. I don’t mind buying coins when I see that developers listen their users and make changes, and when they give more free coins. I spent money on Kiss and Chapters. They give way more free coins. I like them better than JoyLit.
Don’t waste your time with this app

Got sucked into a story (ad) on Instagram, got JoyLit to finish the book and you have to pay for every chapter (which makes the book over $50) or wait days to earn enough coin to read the next chapter. Coins are earned by previewing another book, watching an ad, daily check in and continue reading your book (which you can’t because that chapter isn’t unlocked yet) for 2 min. Each chapter cost more and more points which takes days and days to earn. The book while entertaining is basic written and poorly edited, not worth the money or time. You’ve been warned, don’t waste your time and money
Not what I expected

I downloaded JoyLit because I saw two ads with the beginning of two stories. They drew me in. They were well written, interesting, and made me really want to read more. So I downloaded it, found the stories and quickly realized that I would never be able to finish them without spending my monthly grocery budget on them.
Each chapter was 19 or 20 coins at first, then started changing to 40-50 coins each. There are 500+ chapters in one book! It’s a really good book, and I would love to read a good long book like that; but it’s not worth that much. I could spend $40 on 6,000 coins and still only get through 1/3 of the book. And there isn’t any other way to unlock chapters. At least with Galatea I can wait out the timer for the chapters to unlock.
I’m sad that I have already invested myself into these characters, and now I will never know how their story unfolds.
I thought I was buying the book at $4.99 but I got 500 coins what the heck is that all about. Then after reading 8 chapters it has 40 coins listed it wants me to buy more coins so I can read a little bit more of a book that I already thought I had paid for. If I read this book that way I will be paying more than any book I have ever paid for. There is supposedly 300 some chapters. I think this is a form of fraud. There should be a way of knowing this information before. The book is interesting and I would have liked to finish it but not at that price. I can’t imagine that they have people willing to put up with this type of thing.
wayyyy too expensive

by XLimeLightx
the amount of coins you need just to read another chapter is absolutely insane. yeah there are ways to get more coins but even if you complete all the rewards, it’s barely enough to let you read the next chapter. it’s way too overpriced. even the prices to buy the coins are expensive. it’s like 80-98 coins just to read another chapter which is genuinely insane and although there’s a few pages, the text is still so big that there really aren’t that many pages. at least make the amount of coins needed for a chapter less expensive because 80-98 coins is WAYYY too much.

Look the books are really good or at least the one I’m reading, but the first chapter I had to buy was 97 coins so I did the little tasks and made that, but after there are no more tasks so you’d have to buy coins. It’s an outrageous price for coins because each chapter costs so many. The amount of coins to buy a chapter goes up every-time too. First it was 97 and now it’s 113 for one REALLY SHORT chapter. I’m a fast reader so chapters are usually pretty short, but these chapters are short even for a 7 year old, it takes me only a minute or two max to finish a chapter from there. I would suggest lowering the price of coins for each chapter or coming up with a monthly subscription plan to make it more appealing. If changes aren’t made then I’ll just stick to Wattpad. They have subscriptions and not all of their books are premium. There’s a wide variety of really incredible books on there for free. Plus the whole book is usually the amount of coins that JoyLit wants you to pay for one short chapter. Wattpad also has videos you can watch to make the amount of coins in 30 days to get a book so you don’t have to spend any money out of pocket. I really like the books on this app I just wish it was more affordable because the cost to buy enough coins in order to finish one of their books is the price of well over 4 or 5 books you can buy a paper copy of. It’d cost hundreds of dollars to finish one book, I don’t know about you, but that’s unaffordable to most.
Not worth it

I recent purchased the 24 hours of open reading and as soon as that 24 hour period was gone, everything I read disappeared. I can’t find where I left off at, I can’t reread anything or go back to check anything out. I feel like I paid for a product that was immediately taken back. Why couldn’t I have kept the chapters I had read? NOT WORTH THE COST. There are much better apps out there and ones with much better stories.
Stupidest Reading App Ever
2024-04-17
by Danica545
This is absolutely the worst reading app I’ve ever used. They need to implement some sort of free chapter unlock feature, aside from the coin the way Galatea has. At this rate of getting maybe 40 coins a day if I’m lucky, I’ll never finish the book I’ve started. I’d NEVER spend money to unlock these chapters because by the end of it, you’d likely spend about $50 on a book that’s probably pretty poorly written and absolutely not worth it at all. You can buy two or three REAL physical books for that amount.
JoyLit has the same sort of stories that can be found on Galatea and Wattpad…. Go spend your time over there instead.
APP RECOMMENDATION: -Give option to purchase stories outright, then I will likely come back and read more as a repeat customer. However, I wasn’t able to finish the book (after paying $9.99 for several coins) and I will no longer use JoyLit or read the books associated.
REVIEW: The books are entertaining from an amateur-ish perspective which I sometimes don’t mind and I would 100% have paid $9.99 to finish reading the story I started; however, I’m not paying more than $9.99 to read these books. The “coins” I bought were $9.99 and didn’t even get me halfway through the book. So disappointing. Books are decent..app is a ripoff.
Decent books…ridiculous price

I would be happy to pay a reasonable amount to read these books, but instead I just end up frustrated with JoyLit. It takes a ridiculous amount of coins to read a single chapter…much less an entire book. I would end up paying for multiple hardcover books for the price I would pay to finish ONE book on JoyLit. Don’t bother downloading…you’ll regret it!

I Just wanted to read a good book that caught my attention. After getting into the book I saw the get coins to read full version. I’m like ok i game. So i earn the coins only to find I didn’t get the full version, just a chapter. WTH. So now been stuck reading it a chapter at a time and waiting to earn more coins to open next chapter. So annoying. It’s like watching a movie and having to wait until next week to see the ending. Uggg! buying coins is out of the question! I will not!! Too many other apps out there that give you better results for free. I just want to finish the book I’m reading then I’m dumping JoyLit. So dumb! if the story wasn’t so captivating I’d dump it now. But I’m hooked and want to know how it ends. So deceiving. Use with extreme caution.

Finally found a book that is well written and intriguing!! Down side is that in order to read must buy coins. The coins to read the chapters are more than what you would pay for a hardcover newly released book. For context I’ve already spent over $20 and still not done with the book. I can’t justify spending more than to finish,to me not worth it. Takes forever to accumulate enough to open a chapter. Do better!!
Ripoff

To get the bonus coins you have to read twice as long as needed to get the bonus. It never goes by actual time. There is some secret algorithm that decides when you have read for a minute instead of the actual 60 seconds that makes up that minute.
On top of that the chapters require an obscene amount of coins. Seems to be based on pages but then repeat sections from the bottom of one page to the top of another to require you to pay more. One book had a chapter duplicated and I had to spend coins to read the same chapter twice. Submitted a ticket to support but have never heard back. Do not waste your time on JoyLit. I plan on using my coins then deleting.
The amount of coins you earn daily isn’t even enough to unlock 1 chapter a day… maybe every other day. For people that enjoy reading a little each day, this is not JoyLit to do it on. Example: today I earned 61 coins but to unlock the next chapter it is 122 coins…. So I wasn’t able to read today. I will only be reading 1 book on JoyLit then deleting.

I was reading this really awesome story! And then all of a sudden everything in JoyLit goes like into Chinese (maybe?) writing and I can’t read anything, and everytime I click my story it has something come up and I can’t understand it because it’s all in like a different language, like was JoyLit hacked or did I miss something? I liked JoyLit but as soon as I bought the one day story passed everything like went crazy in JoyLit I hope it gets fixed

To unlock each chapter which is basically 5 pages which is roughly 1 page in a real book is 42 coins, so by the time you finish reading a novel, if it’s even possible since it’s never ending, you’ll be spending at least a few thousand…and I have many of these unlock chapter novel apps, this one is probably one of the MOST costly one I’ve ever encountered and with no possible way to earn a single coin.
Total scam

I saw an ad started reading the story from it. I liked it, so I downloaded the this app app. I ended up purchasing coins to continue reading after the first free chapters. I noticed all the chapters were 18 to 20 coins each and approximately 10 pages long and I thought it’s quite expensive but bearable after paying for about 10 chapters, I noticed that all of the chapters from there on out were, about 50 coins each with the same number of chapters! Ridiculous and so deceptive. it’s too bad because I really like the book but there’s way better reading apps out there that don’t rip you off. JoyLit is actually worse and more expensive than Dreame if that’s even possible.
No free coin or ads for chapters

I get that funds are needed to support an app. But to see if JoyLit is worth it, it is good to have someway to get free coins or ways to read chapters such as ads for chapters JoyLit has neither. Also it appears several of the types of novels on here are found on other apps that you can get free coins for. I’m going to delete JoyLit it is not worth it.
There are so many apps like this off of facebook and they’re all just templates with different icons. Some of the apps are joy read, tap on, KISS and Romanlar they have a lot of things in common like the template I talked about earlier but they all loose access’s in a couple of months like they stop supporting the servers. It’s a just a big problem targeting old people who have nothing better to do.

The book I started to read wasn’t bad and I wanted to continue, but your pricing is ridiculous. It would cost more than $40 to read this. No way! I have a kindle subscription for $5 a month. Change your pricing. I’ll keep JoyLit for now, but if you don’t change the pricing, I’ll delete it like everyone else.

Why would I pay you money to read something that had so many grammatical errors that I hzve to guess what is being said. Deleting your app.
I would give JoyLit zero stars if I could. I can see why JoyLit has a low overall rating. The books are too costly and the free coins option is really stupid. Also the amount of coins needed to open the books are never the same. It jumped from 16 coins to 40 within 2 chapters. JoyLit is an absolute joke and would not recommend it to anyone. Just came here to write this review before deleting JoyLit . 0/10

I Foolishly trusted that I could finish the story, honestly quite interesting, that was dangled as a carrot to entice me into downloading JoyLit. It Said it would go directly to it on download and I could finish it. I was willing to Pay to read the rest of it too. But instead I only had access to this unbelievably poorly written joke of a tale about a brutal mafia boss somehow forced to marry a twin from another mafia family. I have Zero interest in that genre and actually find the brutality and viciousness truly Disgusting. Ugh. They LIED. Beware. I can’t even find the carrot story, good Lord. I am deleting JoyLit toute de suite, immediately on completing this review, yet fear that somehow, given the dishonesty of this whole scheme, that I will be screwed, my identity stolen or otherwise seriously harmed having even downloaded it. I Knew better, I suspected I’d be duped, but I decided to Trust. Hah! Where the F IS the story I began??? Gone. Doesn’t exist. Is not in the Library I finally got to somehow. You should be Ashamed. Bottom line. This is a joke, an utter sham and False, False, False. I’d give JoyLit Minus stars were that possible. It oughta be.

It takes multiple days to be able to read a chapter and then I got to a series of chapters that required money and wouldn’t allow me to use my free coins. I could buy a book for a fraction of the cost that these books will end up costing and at least they will not have grammar and spelling errors. So disappointed!
when you go to pay for the chapters of the book and it’s 899 you’d think it would get you the whole book but no then you have to turn around and pay another $13 to get the rest. What a waste of my time and money I deleted JoyLit immediately, and make sure to tell everybody not to use it

Got sucked into JoyLit reading a good book but then I had to purchase coins to continue reading. Figured what the heck - I purchased a 5,600 set of coins for $40 - It got me through ONE book…ONE. And, while the story was great, there’s a ton of spelling and grammar issues which isn’t expected when you’re paying that much money (unknowingly). I figured out how to get free coins but that will only allow me to read one chapter a day and a chapter is 7 tiny phone-screen sized pages (in the book I’m currently reading). I’ll end up deleting JoyLit soon and finding something more financially valued.

The story I’m reading is a good read but why does each chapter the coin go up it’s really disappointing can the chapters remain at a decent rate 20 or even 25 coins it’s really hard to keep up plus it will definitely get expensive and I know I will have to discontinue JoyLit and I definitely won’t be able to recommend my friends this is not a smooth read like a regular book I thought JoyLit would bypass the other reading apps but as I said before good book so far but I don’t want to lose interest and go broke reading this story either hopefully someone reads this and lower the cost please and thanks all of us readers would love to support but not go broke

I got sucked in reading a book that was going to great and when I got to chapter 7 I ended up needing coins. I thought the coins would let me finish the book but each chapter requires coins. I didn’t purchase any coins because you only get so many free a day. I know there’s a selection for free ones but when you get sucked into a book you wanna finish it. If each chapter wasn’t so much you maybe be able to read more than one a day. I’m an avid reader so that just doesn’t do it for me. There’s other apps that are free to read the full book and give you the option to pay for the extras if you want instead of being forced to.

The first book I read was decent, though extremely over priced. I went in today to work on the book I started a day or so ago, and now the entire app is no longer in any language that I speak (it may be in Chinese based on the characters but again I don’t read or speak the language to know for sure). I tried to go to the help section in the Apple App Store, and the page it sends me to is not translating to English either. What a waste!!!
I’m with the other review that I read. I enjoy the books but I don’t like the fact that I have to buy coins that are used up too quickly reading chapters of one book. Plus, the chapters are short and there are too many for each book. You can buy a book outright 2x’s over or maybe more for the price that you pay for coins to read maybe 5 or less chapters of these books. I’m really disappointed.

Story is decent although there are many grammar and punctuation errors. I got to about the 34th chapter and needed to buy more coins to continue reading. I have already spent more than what the cost of a real new book would cost and am not willing to pay such a high price to stream one book. There are too many other ways to get them at a cheaper price. JoyLit is not for me.

I was so excited to get started reading in JoyLit. At first it was fantastic, I read through almost a whole book and had to wait a day for the ending to come, no big deal. Then as I started to read another book, it was only a few chapters in and it wasn’t updated for several days so I thought no big deal. I’ll start another book, same thing. By the time that the writing was updated, I had forgotten where the story ended, and I am not one to go back and keep rereading it chapter. It seems like they have great stories, but it’s just not worth the hassle to start a book and not be able to finish it.

They should just charge a monthly subscription fee to download JoyLit. You earn daily “coins” that are used to unlock chapters. But after a couple of chapters it no longer let me use the free coins and said I had to make a purchase to read anymore. The book I was reading would be approximately $123 to pay as I read. I could get 4-5 physical books for that price. Not worth it!
How can u not update the novels daily? I’ve paid for the monthly read and had to start a few different novels because of that. Is this your way of making money with readers thinking that they get to finish the novel by paying for it like that?! So far, I’ve started six different novels, and each of them have not been updated for me to continue reading. I’m really disappointed and think that you are scamming readers for their money.

I really like the story I was reading but there was not enough opportunity to keep reading. I had to have so many coins to keep on reading. I spent more time away from reading then I read. Hard to figure out

by Violet In Florida
I’ve started reading my first book with this app. The problem is I’ve spent $30 & only allowed me less than 80 chapters. There’s 240 plus chapters in this book. I thought there’s no way reading an online book is going to cost more than $20? I since figured out that you collect free coins daily but sometimes it can take up to. 4/5 days to collect enough coins for only 1 chapter. I will continue to collect the free coins but sadly won’t be back once the book is finished. I’ll go back to reading my kindle books. On a happier note, the book I’m reading is very good and draws you in. If it weren’t for that, I’d of left long before. 😕
I’ll prefer wattpad any day because apps like this allow itself to not be great, because why do I have to pay so much money each chapter when I want to relax a read a good book. And the books are really amazing but the pricing is really annoying and makes you don’t wanna read any more so it’s really disappointing JoyLit needs to do better seriously else it won’t get any support at all. And this is coming from a girl who has been reading actual books and using different apps for years so I’m no amateur!! As I said before honestly it has some really great book here but always having to pay makes you no longer wants to read
Great Stories

The novels are engaging but I can’t give JoyLit 5 stars. Unfortunately, I have several complaints. I can literally spend hours every day reading from JoyLit but they are doing a disservice to the fans by not doing better editing. I don’t know if they are using AI to translate the novels but they still need to read before they publish because the stories will repeat paragraphs in some sections, refer to incorrect characters and use improper male/female tenses. Also, they should really make the coins needed to unlock chapters consistent. Finally, dropping a chapter a week for ongoing stories is a horrible practice. It makes me want to invest less in the characters and stories. I’ve tried to find more of the finished stories now because of that.
App is so-so

Some stories are good, most need *serious* editing. Some barely make sense at times.
The reading bonuses are frustrating as you don’t get credit for all your reading time. I was trying to finish the day’s reading challenge and had just enough time to get in the last 50 mins with a few minutes to spare. By the time I finished the first 30 minutes of reading I no longer had time to finish. I consider myself a fairly good reader so clearly they don’t want to have to pay up that last bonus for the day. They also increased the amount of HOURS you have to read per day to get the bonuses. It’s ridiculous. I think I’m going to go back to the other reading app I have. The one story I really enjoy the most on here I’m constantly waiting for a new chapter.

These books are ridiculously expensive! You basically pay points by page not chapters! I am currently reading “He wants me back after the divorce” and per chapter charge was 61 points for 12 pages! The book was good but too expensive and not worth for you to get hook on it! Stick to WebNovel at least it’s cheaper plus you can find some of the novels there for free somewhere else with a little research.

Great lead in stories ,Highly disappointing that no information is put at the beginning that there are charges to continue each story. What a sucker punch. I would have been willing to pay a small fee. to read one of your books . No information is even offered as to where to collect the coins that I saw, including how much each particular book cost in coins. I would recommend anyone that starts a story to read the commentaries, don't walk in the door that's only partially open. You'll get a surprise you don't like. Good luck, future readers. BADREY a friend of the owner of this phone. Lent to me.
I wish I could pay 1 flat rate for the book instead of having to purchase coins. I got to chapter 8, and I want to continue to read it, but I don’t want to have to purchase coins just to finish it. Nor do I want to “earn” coins which aren’t even enough for a chapter. So I’m probably not going to finish the book.

I am enjoying my books so much! I just wish I could subscribe to a monthly subscription. Also, I wish you could scroll instead. I’ve been trying to purchase coins, but it keeps saying transaction failed. I am upset that I cannot continue reading.
Good reads but takes a lot of ads to keep reading

This ap needs to cater more towards the customer and not need as many coins to buy next chapter…. Or atleast make it where an ad value can be measured in terms of chapter unlock value whether the ratio is 1:1 or even a 2:1 where you are able to get more enjoyment from reading the books instead of getting disinterested or distracted by other things because you have to keep watching an ad you weren’t even really there for in the first place because you were wanting to continue with the story ….not sure how much longer I’m gonna keep on with JoyLit when I can read so much more with way less ads on a few other apps that I have found….
Auto Unlock

The stories are ok, only problem is I am unable to take away the auto charge feature for coins. I checked to see if there is a way to manually unlock the chapters without using the Auto Unlock feature but can’t seem to find it. At this point, I’ve started several stories and it’s a matter of picking which to read. It would be good to have a way to turn off the Auto Unlock
I like JoyLit but I don’t have enough coins to unlock a single chapter in a day. The book I’m currently reading requires 117 coins when I only get about 57 a day so I have to wait two days to read one chapter. I would appreciate it if there were more coin opportunities so I don’t have to wait so long to read one chapter. Now, other stories might not require as much coins as the one I am currently reading but I would still appreciate more coin options. P.s. I have only read one book so far and just started using JoyLit so I don’t know if you continue to get more than 30 or 120 coins a day or is certain books require more coins that others.
Ok, but…

Some of the stories are good. They need editing. I also don’t like how a sentence to an entire paragraph repeats on the next page. I love the 24 hour passes. I don’t get to read everyday but when I do I will sit and read for long periods of time. His is way more cost effective than buying coins. Such a great idea! Lastly, how do you read reviews and add reviews? I try to click on the stars but it doesn’t do anything. If the editing improves and the option read reviews becomes available I will edit my rating.

The stories are interesting except for minor things. There are a lot of misspelled words, grammar and repeating sentences. You need better proofreaders or a much better app that can correct all of the mistakes. Also, to obtain coins in order to go on to the next chapter makes it really difficult and frustrating to continue reading. THAT, in itself, needs to be reassessed or your readers may switch to a competitor app, thus, loss of readers.
Just being real…
Good stories just too long

I’m really enjoying the stories that I’ve read. I just wish they weren’t quite so long.

I love the stories that I read on JoyLit. I love how they give so many free episodes before going into the paid content, however you have to spend a LOT of money to keep reading the books. The few free coins that you get don’t even get you a free chapter most days because the chapters cost so much. I hope that will at least change considering that I’ve already spent about $50 in a weeks time just to read like two books. Once I finish the one I’m on, I probably won’t be returning to JoyLit.
I paid my ‘coins’ for a chapter, but touching the screen scrolled it to a different page, and the chapter I had paid for would not reopen without another payment. Great. Also, the English text REALLY needs to be proofed by someone who actually knows English. Too many times, words are being used in a ways that simply make no sense. I could easily cite a few dozen examples, if given enough time. (‘A taxi alights in front of a building’. NO. A person alights FROM a taxi in front of a building. You also use adjectives as though they are nouns. As I said, many examples. Some stories are in better shape than others.).

I absolutely love JoyLit. I have been reading everyday and have 2 books that I am currently obsessed with. Many of these books I have not found on any other reading apps. Only thing I wish was better would be that the daily check in prize and reading prizes needs to be more than just getting 30 coins or less each day.
Great story, well written!

Great story, the one major thing I don’t like is partly through the book it starts repeating its last line on the 1st line of the next page, that bugged me. Also, I think the chapters cost too many coins, you have to be able to eat enough to read a chapter or 2 and I’d be more influenced to purchase coins to keep going. They’re probably double what they should cost. Per chapter. I also wish they would’ve used some of the epilogue and make another chapter or so, include the trial and taking away of the baby if you need the drama part. Just saying. I do like that it has the epilogue though.
I’m in love but it’s starting to whin… please fix the glitches

So I’ve had JoyLit for about three weeks and it keeps messing up. I’ve brought coins to continue reading the chapters but it keeps glitching kicking me out and not loading the books chapters. I love the stories but Geesh please fix it because I’m not sure even with loving the stories I can keep dealing with the glitches. Update… problem solved not sure how or when but it works and I am elated. i would recommend JoyLit over audible and Apple Books. I hope you enjoy as much as I do.
Very well written. One of my favorites will read this author again.

I got into this book by chance and I’m enjoying every bit of it. I think I may continue with this app as even the ads I get for upcoming stories catch my eye. Thank you for getting me into reading again.

Love the books on JoyLit. They are complete and easy to read. You want to know what is going to happen next.
I’ve only read one book so far, but the story was great! It had action, romance and everything in between. I just wish it wasn’t so expensive to read these books and there was a way to earn more coins rather than have to pay for them.

Love the books and so many options. Only thing I would love more is if there was more free coins as I can’t afford to finish one book. I’d even be willing to watch more ads or do some kind of tasks to earn them.

I really like the books. The only negative is I pay more on here for 1 book than I do anywhere else for monthly subscription for unlimited books
I am enjoying 1st book but I have just hit where I have to purchase coins to read and cannot afford to do so. How does your program work? I thought they were free.
Hooked

So far I’m hooked. Fully prepared to set aside a stipend just to read lol. I’ve only had JoyLit a few weeks but I love it. Happy that I can earn points as well as purchase. My own impatience for earning has deemed that I spend money, but I am happy to do so. The stories are interesting and move quickly along. So far a 5 star process!!

I’m on chapter 51, I am very impressed with the story line, it keeps you attention at all times. I also am pleased that the language is clean, the story is also clean. That’s hard to find in our world as much corruption is in it. Kudos to the Author
I loved the story line. The story was easy to follow and it wasn’t convoluted. I also enjoyed the fact that the author did not take hundreds and hundreds of chapter to tell a great story. The characters are relatable and as a reader I was engaged the whole time!!!! A definite must read!

This book has been wonderful!! When I truly like and get into a book, I can visualize it. This book has wonderful characters that interact in very surprising ways. Can’t wait to finish it!!! Is there a way to give a gift subscription to this app?

I have enjoyed the books I have been able to read. Some are too long changing direction on the plot. BUT it is ridiculous that they charge so much to read and having to buy coins to do so. This type of reading cost more than buying a book!! I give up. If I have to pay this much and not get all my time I am deleting the app. I have 4 books I am in the process of reading because they let you read a couple chapters and then you have to buy more coins. It can cost up to $99 to read a book I can buy in the store for $10

I'm an author. My novel AN END TO HOUSEWORK is/was on Joylit. I was totally unaware of the app until just a couple of hours ago. I was contacted through Facebook by a JoyLit user who was reading one of my books but then the book disappeared. I had originally sold the book to Readict, which has apparently turned around and given/leased/sold it (I've no idea which) to Joylit. Readict contracted with me in 2021, and I believe the contract has run out. My view is, they had no right to give it or lease it or whatever to Joylit without telling me -- especially if money was involved. I am still digging through this mess to find out what happened, but I thought I would alert you to this issue. If Joylit and/or Readict don't resolve this to my liking I'll be contacting the AUthor's Guild, of which I am a member.

I loved reading several books. What hapoens in Vegas was great. I liked the Billionaire's suprise twins. Long but I hung in there (spent way too much) was extremely excited I was close to the end...... only to find it was never finished. If that was truly the end I was very disappointed. I read another that was not finished. I will delete the app now.

I use Pocket FM and love the way it is setup by paying or accepting their social platforms. The ad for JoyLit came up and the book seemed to be really good. As I became more intrigued, I paid my first $10 and shortly realized when asked for an additional payment that I would be paying at least $50 to complete the entire book. I started searching for different alternatives to finish my read.

I’d rather use kindle which is normal as far as book cost. Joylit is way too expensive and the quality is not up to par. As an avid reader I do not plan to continue to use this app.

Too many sentence/paragraph repeats, wrong character names in places. Also, I would like a book to finish, not continuously ongoing. Sad, because I like what I am reading, but do not want to pull down a new chapter (which really isn’t as long as chapters in physical books) every day or so. I WANT TO FINISH THE BOOK!!! There will come a time I will have to delete app because of that. Also, GET A PROOFREADER, and a good one!
