Talkyto is being used to steal my info

Have had multiple problems with the software like not receiving incoming texts and calls randomly. And it’s hard to reach any support. You can’t call if you have a problem. You have to email and wait for a response. And they don’t seem knowledgeable enough. Keep asking me all kinds of questions. Sent 10 emails so far back n forth and no resolution. Also the whole set up and website is not user friendly. All these words and phrases I don’t know as a regular business owner. This is not my expertise but it’s definitely way too complicated and having crappy support doesn’t help.

It shows connecting to twilio over and over again but can’t connect.
Why did you publish Talkyto on App Store?

Purchased the subscription but it doesn’t work. Contacted support and they responded that they were aware of it and working on it. It’s been more than a week and I have replied and no answer

Not sure how they’re able to continue to bill me after my subscription was canceled and expired under the subscriptions settings.

I paid for subscription and it still doesn’t work , says upgrade your account.
Submit a ticket, no answer during 6 hours.
What support service is doing?

Sometimes it works, often times it doesn’t. I don’t understand why they charge monthly if they’re not improving the product. It should be a one time payment. I won’t be giving them more money.

I wish there were alternative sms Apps for Twilio.
I’ve searched but only Talkyto I’m finding so far.

It will be great if the developers of Talkyto can spend a few extra hours to improve Talkyto ’s feature, performance and even usability.
It’s very slow and hard to use, compared to any sms and messaging apps I’ve ever used.

Worst case, we can’t even get any notifications when customers respond. I have enabled notifications and even set the banner to persist. It still doesn’t notify anyone!!!

You can’t delete messages, my inbound calls don’t work at all, Talkyto could be made a lot more user friendly. I can’t believe this is the main app for twilio.

This is a business line i ported over and I’m missing important business calls because this service is not letting me accept inbound calls.

Support takes forever to email back

I sent photos of everything we had done and very specific questions on how to fix an issue. I got a generic reply telling me to do the things I had already done.

The sms setup is pretty obvious. The voice setup they do not give you any of the information needed.

Also how do I edit friendly names to distinguish between multiple businesses

Subscribed to their $6.49 plan; Talkyto keep saying no active subscription found, please subscribe to continue. Raised several issue tickets. Their support staff responses with your issue is being worked but no one really responses with any resolution. Very poor service. I cancelled subscription and they still charge my credit card. App does not work! Don’t waste your money!!

Installed Talkyto and it has entire access to the twilio account and all my numbers. Tried to call the number I picked after I setup Talkyto . Recording from twilio that I haven’t selected the url for the webhook. Searched the site for the url - it doesn’t exist. Sent message to support. Waiting… paid for subscription free trial though, still no update to the webhook url. Can call out as I mentioned, but I need to be able to receive calls more than anything. What’s the webhook URL so I can configure in Twilio?

App is very glitchy and slow, doesn’t display well after a mass texting and doesn’t have any filter ability such as for incoming sms. Make Talkyto for humans please. Try Talkyto out and you’ll see.
Also it is pretty expensive.

It mostly works despite the UI being clunky. You really need to understand Twilio on a deep level to make this work. Seems to be made for engineers. Outbound calling doesn’t work and notifications are unreliable. Noticeable lag in app. Contacts say “Unknown” until you manually refresh. Speaking of, you need to manually refresh conversations regularly and the messages appear out of order when using it to have a conversation. Be ready to force close and restart it quite a bit. Incoming calls seem to be reliable.

Having said all that, I haven’t found anything else out there that lets you use twilio as replacement numbers on a mobile device, so if you’re willing to learn the unique way Talkyto works, you can get by.

Talkyto itself isn’t bad. Few minor “quirks” (can’t delete SMS messages, for one) but if you do run into an issue, you’re on your own. Tried to contact support twice but no reply.

this app has made my work life so much easier! I can manage calls and texts effortlessly.
