Not keeping his app updated

2022-06-02

Clearly, StarlinkTracker developer has given up on this particular venture. There have been no updates in five months, which means none of the data is accurate anymore. None of the launches since number seven have been included in StarlinkTracker. Useless.

Only old sats

2022-07-03

I don’t think StarlinkTracker is being updated. Never get data for any of the new launches. To be relevant it needs to have data for the most recent launches. Must be updated within 12 hours of a launch or it’s worthless.

Useless

2022-08-04

So far I have found StarlinkTracker to be useless. Using the web site mentioned, I was able to plug in my GPS coordinates and get an accurate estimation of sightings, which proved to be successful!
StarlinkTracker, which has my accurate coordinates, did not even mention the information for my successful sighting.
I have also never been successful using the potential sighting information StarlinkTracker comes up with. You can also click in and out and back into StarlinkTracker repeatedly in rapid succession and get totally different results.

Not seeing Starlink at times given

2022-09-05

I’ve seen Starlink satellites before so I know what I’m looking for, but after several attempts to view them using StarlinkTracker I have never seen them. Makes me wonder if StarlinkTracker thinks I’m somewhere else or in a different time zone. App has been a waste of time so far.

And as others have said there’s no way to toggle the alerts on or off, and searching individual trains is an unnecessary step. Why not just list them all in one place?

Every listing says (hard to see) why?

2022-10-06

So far StarlinkTracker is useless, haven’t seen anything yet. Wanted to see the star link trains, very disappointed.
Now it keeps saying trouble calculating times and check your internet connection. What a joke!

Problems calculating times

2022-11-07

Was working great but now it’s saying having trouble calculating the times they are passing over. It’s been that way for almost three months. Thought it might be temporary, but starting to wonder if there even still up there. I guess you’re forcing us to have to buy the apps you have to pay a monthly fee for. NOT going to happen. It’s not that important to me. Bye!

Stopped working after a couple days.

2022-12-08

When I first got StarlinkTracker, I was able to catch a sighting on two occasions just where/when it said they would be there. Then there were several no-shows. After that (for the past several weeks), it just keeps saying there is “a problem calculating when you can see Starlink. Please check your internet connection or try again in a few minutes.” However, it isn’t able to work anywhere, any time, or with any internet connection. Too bad because I thought it was going to be great. Not so much if it doesn’t get fixed.

No complete updates

2023-01-09

Over the last 2 weeks 80% of the trackers have not been updating. 2 Error message says no internet and cannot calculate location. I thought that was the point. Anyway maybe it will get straightened out

Back button

2023-02-10

Great program with one suggestion. You can go back to the previous page by tapping on the top left however it’s blank. It would be more helpful to have the word “back” in the top left.

It's free so...

2023-03-11

Utility not so great... Have to manually choose each and every train launch to see if it might pass you. Why not automatically choose ALL of them?

Yes and no

2023-04-12

I know the starlinks aren't bright for the needs of astronomers. I saw one of the earliest batches pass before they dispersed. They looked like an orbiting train. I have a question, if there is no predicted visibility, does that mean they won't be visible?

Simple and useful, room for growth.

2023-05-13

I think StarlinkTracker is great and I’m hoping for more features down the road. I think some default viewing settings like Viewing quality minimum, Elevation minimum, time of day (morning or night) would help so you can super quickly pick viewings that apply to your schedule and location would be helpful. Then a “show all” to see others and remove current filters.

If possible, not requiring the user to choose which launch but making that a filter or label somewhere would also be nice. Not sure if it matters for most of us which launch we’re searching for, as much as which viewing will be the most successful.

Lastly, there’s some reviews about prediction accuracy, and I’m on the fence about this as well. I haven’t had many opportunities but if the few I’ve tried I haven’t seen the sats, even with clear skies. I’ll keep trying and thank you for your continued development.

Good....but could be great

2023-06-14

Don’t get me wrong THIS IS A GOOD THING & WORTH DOWNLOADING Make some minor changes & it will be great.

- Selections for all visible and / or all satellites at one time.

- You have to force close StarlinkTracker each time to get back to the home screen

- Explanation of the data in the parentheses & how to utilize that data to help locate them in the sky. Not everyone knows what the data means, even so when they are told what the data is. How they can apply it is important as well. Example - currently is says elevation 10° to 86°. Elevation can be misleading. Say what it is....azimuth & state this can be applied using the compass on your iPhone or online.

Could use some added features

2023-07-15

I would like to be able to select all or multiple launches to check for visibility. Soon there will be too many to filter through.

I would absolutely love to see real time world map locations (preferably 3D ball map), but I know that costs time, money, and memory.

Great tool !!!

2023-08-16

My first time used, if you like the space and tracking satellites, this is the best tool to follow Starlink constellation, easy to use and precise data !!!
Thanks!!!

Starlink app

2023-09-17

The cloud cover had prevented our previous attempts to spot the satellites. But tonight we saw Starlink2 pass overhead for 4 minutes just where StarlinkTracker said they’d be.
It was very cool!

Starlink

2023-10-18

On May 7 @ 2152 I just happened to see Starlink satellites for the first time ever. Sad to say I knew of them but that’s it. Now thanks to the lucky siting and your app I’m obsessed. Thanks.

Still clouds

2023-11-19

Hoping that here in Michigan we will get a non cloudy day to view.

One issue with an iPhone 7 is that all the text is not readable on the right and will not scroll over.

Great aid to finding and viewing sats

2023-12-20

Accurate and easy to use. Reminder feature is an added bonus, allowing you to set reminders for the best viewing possibilities in near future. Most of my observations were based on the alarm reminding me.

Cool Little app!

2024-01-21

I like how easy it is to use! Also I like how it’s sends reminders before so you dont miss it. My wife & daughter had no interest but once a 5 minute string showed up my wife ran back into the house to get her camera and my daughter watched the whole thing and loved it which is saying alot for a 12 yr old! 😂 you should have one for meteor showers! 👏

Starlink sighting 3/29/2020 at 9:45pm

2024-11-17

Last night from SW Ohio we saw what must have been the SpaceX Starlink satellites, one after another, appearing in the NW sky at about 70° elevation, heading southward and visible for ~10 seconds each. This continued for several minutes giving the impression that it would be unending. At one point we could see 3 or 4 satellites traveling single file covering approx. 30° elev. But by 10pm they were no longer visible.
HOW DO WE CONFIRM THAT THESE WERE STARLINK?
When will Starlink pass overhead next?
Why isn’t The Starlink flight path included in StarlinkTracker ?
Thank you

Make it visual!!

2024-11-17

If you can calculate the current or futures overhead positioning you can certainly visualize onto a Mercator map!

WOW

2024-11-17

This is just the best way to enjoy those early mornings with a cup of coffee and then the satellites are always amazing and knowing it makes me such a cool nerd!🤓

Great App - Does exactly what it says.

2024-11-17

Must for any beginner star gazer looking for one of the star link trains.

Great app

2024-11-17

Does the basics very easily

Such a great idea, and it works!

2024-11-17

StarlinkTracker is so awesome.

I simply clicked “remind me” on the ones that didn’t say “hard to see” and viola! Got to finally see the train of satellites!

It’s been cloudy all of January, but it was finally clear tonight and when StarlinkTracker reminded me, we went outside at the time it said it would pass by, and sure enough it went by, for even longer then it said it would! We are all stoked.

It was starlink-2 that we seen! 02/20/20.
