Rigged

Game is fun to play but I was curious after all the reviews I read of it being rigged. I played almost 10,000 hands and I started to take pictures of all the flushes I saw because it seemed way more than normal. I mean where all five cards on the table are the same suit. Even in the tournaments I was hitting big hands like crazy. I know they do this to make the game more fun but it can also be frustrating to the people who lose. One tournament I won I had quads 3 times within 15 min. Now in real poker that is rare yet in Texax I hit it 3 times in the span of just one tournament?? You will see boats and straights like common hands there are so many, but the amount of flushes takes the cake. I take pictures of people going all in with 8-2 against A-K and they make a boat 882 on the flop. It’s a normal occurrence and a little silly if u ask me. I’ve studied professional poker statistics and Texax is nowhere near. Also the more chips you get , I promise you will lose it. I saw bad beats which seemed impossible unless the game is rigged. Like I say it is fun game but cheating definitely goes on and it’s rigged. I saw one guy hit 3 straights in a row. Your gonna tell me that is just luck?

For $5, this game is more than worth it!

I think that $5 is such a reasonable price--especially compared to what other people are charging for less sophisticated apps. As for the game, it is gorgeous. If you hold your phone upright (vertical), you will see video clips of people actually playing. The game plays well; the taps and swipes are intuitively what you would expect. To fold, for example, you drag your cards to the table; to check, you tap three times. The only thing this game is missing is the ability to play with other people. It has Wi-Fi multiplayer, but you must play with people on the same wi-fi connection. This means either people you know, or if you get lucky and happen to hop on at Starbucks or somewhere and get someone else on at the same time. There are much less sophisticated games out there that allow you to play with live people. My boyfriend's older, crappier phone used to let me play tetris with real people.

This is THE Texas Hold'em game to purchase if you're going to purchase one. I know I always look for the best so I don't waste money on junk only to find a really cool (and usually cheaper) one later.

You'll have better odds at a real casino playing for real money!!

TexasCasino is a complete joke. The stats are rigged, for example if you look at the "total winnings" if the player hasn't played that day or isn't in a low level the number will be 4, 294, 967, 295 how could that be an accurate stat? Some days are lucky but most are not. All spins and in game bonuses are predetermined. I have reached being a billionaire 2 times in the same week but have lost those billions in a matter of a few hours of playing and not always betting max. Many players spend hundreds of dollars to keep playing, hourly bonuses are small (even if you spend thousands on TexasCasino the 30 minute bonus is only about 110k, bonus collections from the Facebook page are only 40-50k which if you are broke from losing means you will need to purchase one of their high priced packages or play an extremely low table. If it wasn't for the people I've met on there and play daily with TexasCasino would be deleted.

Ripoff

black jack prides itself on mimicking a real casino except its slots are even tighter. They make it clear that they expect you to buy chips in order to play. Even the VIP players complain about skimpy bonuses & not receiving their bonuses on time. Most everyone I know has deleted TexasCasino & moved on. I will be doing the same. There are so many complaints that they posted guidelines to boot you if you complain too often. In the fun scatter rooms, it allows people to spin 1 line and squat making the round take 45 minutes or so to complete & then they get an equal share after the rest of us have lost millions to produce a nice pot for all. Game needs a block button so you don't have to play with those squatters & 1-liners. Game promotes squatters by punishing those who spin quickly. If you wait 13 seconds or more between spins, you are more likely win something, even if it's not much.

Great For Any HoldEm Fan

I bought this just wanting a Poker game for whenever I felt like a quick game. Now I'm on my third hour with this game without a break! People keep saying addictive, but they don't explain why. For me, it's that you actually feel like you get something out of playing this game. In most Poker games, internet-based, anyways, you just make money. That's it; just hoarde as much dough as you can. With this, you actually are working towards bigger and more extravagant tournaments. This gives a great feeling progression for me. Also, the game can be played in any speed. I'm constantly turning my ipod to alter how fast a hand goes, making me feel absolutely in control of the pacing instead of feeling enslaved by it. One last thing I'm happy and surprised about is that from all the games I've bought so far, this one runs down my battery the least.

Not Even Pay to Win

Game is addictive, no doubt there. Its designed around losing. There's no money to make off winners, which is why they will never get a dime of my money. I still play it though, some days are better than others. But most of the time, I play for 5 minutes, lose the equivalent of $5 in game money in that time, and wait for my next daily bonus which I lose immediately the following day. Casinos have better odds than this game. If you win big, you'll lose it all. Guaranteed. The one time I got about 30 mil in winnings I was back down to nothing in minutes. Buying into the game gets you nowhere, the VIP system is a total joke. In a year of playing this game for free, I've only ever won one colossal jackpot and am only at level 80 playing casually. Would be a much better game if it wasn't rigged to make you lose big after every big win.

More of a grind than having fun.

So I've been playing for about two month now. I enjoyed the variety of games offered and as a beginner the game gave nice rewards to build your chip count. But once you get towards the upper ranks the winnings become less frequent and the high chip count you had dwindles away. Whether you bet big or with minimum bet, your guaranteed to lose it all. Too many spins with zeros and the ones you do win are less then what you bet or slightly above. I'm still giving the game a chance because it helps me on my daily commutes to work but it's annoying to grind up to a few million for hours just to see it all go away in a few minutes. *update* I downgraded from 2 star to 1 because there have been no changes and pretty much everyone I come across the game tells me how good it was before and how bad it is now.

Fun, Good game play, good graphics

I enjoy playing TexasCasino. If you hold the screen vertically, you see video cycle through each player as it goes around the table. If you hold it horizontally, it zooms out to view the entire table (no video) and displays all of the info for each player. The game also supports multiple iPhones/iTouch in the same game, each with its own perspective, via WiFi. Relative to other pay apps, $5 seems a bit high for what it is and what it delivers (hence it gets 4 stars instead of 5). $3 would have been a better match between price and features. Its hard to convince friends to purchase (for head to head play) at $5 when they are used to $1 apps and FREE apps. I'd like to see Apple update TexasCasino to take advantage of the increased CPU and graphics performance in the 3GS.

You Buy, You Lose!

I've played TexasCasino since way back with ACE Casino. With the BigFish purchase, things were still OK. With the Churchill Downs purchase, it's gone to hell in a hand basket. I've spent thousands. With every purchase, the chips were taken back quicker each time. Most recently, $100 gone in 10 minutes! Plus they eliminated HoldEm tournaments, which gave me some reason to still play. Billionaires must not buy... I have, but lose everything almost instantly. DO NOT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY! Unbelievable Corporate Greed. All these positive one line reviews are fake. I finally asked them to block my account so I no longer waste my time, energy, and money on this despicable BS App! I'm now saving enough money monthly to make a car payment on a new car... Awesome! Luck has nothing to do with TexasCasino.

Great game development!

Look, I'm an avid poker player...been playing hold'em since before the moneymaker days. Apple Inc. really got it right! Simple interface, and the hand gestures make it simple to breeze through a tourney. A simple flip, and Birdseye view will suit most online poker players as well as brick and mortar players.

Most the reviews I read implied it was rigged, and suckouts were abound. I beg to differ. I've played well over a million hands of poker in my life time. The randomization, and amazing rivers are just as true to real life, as the pushes some of the AI opponents and real thinking strategy is. Often the opponents will raise to steal your blind, or protect theirs.

I thought TexasCasino was a little expensive at $4.99, but it's every penny worth it, and I'd even gift it to a friend or two. Great for passing time at the airport, and use of wi-fi is great for home games anywhere.

Do not buy this game if you have anger management issues. Cussing in public after a bad beat, is not recommended and cracked screens just aren't hip these days. Show restraint cowboy, and practice good bankroll management. Now what are you waiting for? Shuffle up and deal.

Really Disappointed

First of all let me say that this is basically a single player game vs the computer. The singleplayer is good but gets boring. The description says multiplayer but its just for local wifi(basically you can only play against people you know in your area on the same channel with the same phone and same game). Why didnt the develoiper just make this an online gamewhere you could play people across the US or world? Pretty lame the way it is now. Even the free app Live Poker is funner to play than this. Even adrenaline pool is better because of the online play. How much can someone gamble against a computer without getting bored quick at this day and age? Needs online play.

Online?

First, for all you that sit staring at your phone waiting for a room with people... 😃 it is Ad-Hoc. Meaning you need other people on YOUR wi-fi network, it's not Online multiplayer. Get it? Also, mine has never crashed?? It goes into a stutter or slow-mo a few times but that's all. I have the 16G 3G if that matters?? As far as the game play or AI goes... I'll call it, different or unique. I can bluff and win so I doubt the comp knows the cards. It is strange that they bluff and call my final bet when I have the win and they have nothing?? Also, the tells are interesting and the players all play different. Some you can bully and some bully me. Overall, very fun game. Once you learn how to play Hold Em'..... Apple style?????

App is a Huge Scam

TexasCasino is a huge scam, and they have paid for all positive reviews. You’ll be hard pressed to find anything good about this company, yet they somehow have a good rating. The game is rigged to take your chips and money. The odds are so bad that customer support (which is the worst ever) refuses to discuss odds. Think about that. Why would they refuse to discuss odds? They are that bad. Never spend real money on a dumb app like this. You could spend $10,000 and lose those chips within an hour. I am shocked these big phone companies even allow something like this on their devices. The company is no better than the people selling opiates, and anyone that works for this company has absolutely no dignity.

Addicting! But there might be a small flaw...

I can play this for hours on end. I usually play in landscape mode so I can blitz through the game easier. I've noticed that when you're down to you and another player at a table, if you are the small blind and you call the big blind, the opponent will usually do a moderate raise (depending on their chip count) and 99% of the time, they're bluffing. I just wait until I have a good hand in this situation, call the big blind, wait for them to do their thing, and go all in. They run off like a beaten puppy every time. It's like clockwork, almost too easy. The bluffing in this game is probably more than most of us would see in real life.

Nice format

Plays like a free online game. Don't go all in without a nuts hand.
Update:
I have played it enough to say the A. I. Really does need tweeked. It consistently holds inferior cards and pulls it out on the river. It folds when you have a good hand and bet low. Both are signs it's playing a known outcome. You get burned on slot machine outcomes (I.e. King high flush vs. Ace high) way more than natural. You can win easy by folding to 3rd or better, cashing in almost every game what fun is that?
I reserved this drop to 3 stars giving time for an update but I doubt that will happen. I still think this is a good game I'm just disappointed with the gameplay when everything else is so polished and it's not a cheap game.

Could be great if AI flaws are fixed

Absolutely horrible AI. They will be bet 3/4 their money or go all in with junk hands before even seeing the flop. So 90% of the time your going to just fold or hope you get lucky and call them. It's extremely annoying bc they will bet a ton before the flop and then if you call them they'll just check the rest of the time. Many more flaws on top of this as well.
This games graphics are great but for anyone that knows how to really play hold em, this game has serious flaws that need fixed in an update.
If they offer an update and fix the problems this game could be great but very annoying as it is now....

Takes a Rake on Play Money

Ridiculous...

Part of their scam, unless it’s a glitch that only I experience, is that it takes chips from your bank as you play.

I was up around 2 billion and had a bad run. Had 800mil left so I jumped on higher stakes and left 200 mil in the bank.

I eventually noticed that I only had 91 mil on top of what I had on the table.

Finally hit a double up that had a total of 1billion. Not less, if anything a few million over.

The stack that came back to me from the all in was only 991million for some reason, so I quickly left.

My bank is now 991million.

All of the 200 million has gone.

I had noticed this in the past, but never actually knew for sure.

After checking this time it now makes sense.

Texax just wants your money, so don’t even bother. It’s a shame they bought out that gin rummy app. Will start happening there, too.

Even more proof will be that there will not be an apologetic response, or any response, to this review.

Better odds in Vegas

I played this game for a few years but the addiction finally got to me. If I played slots in Vegas I would have much better odds at winning.
They hook you when you join their clubs and play with team members. I did this for a long time and found out no one would win.
I became an addict with this game and was playing it constantly, hoping for a big win that would give me millions of fake chips.
Eventually, I got smart and deleted this game. They let you win at first but will take away everything as you continue to play the game.
I give it a one star based upon the way they rig the game .

Best poker App

I agree with alot of the other reviews:
1) Graphics are awesome
2) Game play is very nice
3) Opponents and themes are great.
With that said...you do have to be careful about your playing style. The AI will definitely pull some miracle cards from time to time...no doubt. Frustrating sometimes...but they don't drop like flies everytime you have a decent hand either. I like that you can switch from heads up view to the overhead view. The game goes a little quicker in the overhead view. Overall, this game will keep you glued for awhile. Hard to put down. It be cool if they threw in stud, draw and Omaha.

Don't ask for help or report abuse

If u are an iPhone User as i am here's a warning for you! Don't report to customer service about cheaters and issues regarding reporting them . Your response will be a form letter telling you to sue the report abuse form ... That they take all complaints seriously and will investigate ... Yada yada!
iPhone users have HUGE connection issues .... Win one or two hands then they cut the connection and you lose hands until you are broke or leave the table !
Blatant obvious bots hackers and cheaters get reported from iPhones but Texax has refused to enforce their own rules !!!!
! MORONS!

Best Poker App

I have tried numerous poker apps on the iPhone and have found Texax Poker to be the most fair, easiest to use, and extremely fun! I started with just a couple thousand and already have 25 million after about a week! I recommend this game to anyone who loves an easy going poker app to pass the time.
