Terrible compared to other prominent GTO trainers

Something is wrong with the programming so it almost never recognizes things as mistakes and always recognizes any move besides the #1 most optimal move as a blunder, unless it’s the same EV as the #1 move. Teaches you bad habits because it tells you that you are doing something wrong even if you’re properly mixing it up while in indifferent spots. Will say one decision is “perfect” and the other is “ok” when both are nearly 50% and the same (highest possible) EV.

App no longer useful

Not sure what you all did with PostflopGTOPokerTrainer during the last update, but suddenly almost every hand I train on ends in a blunder. Very frustrating and it wasn’t like that before. Something changed, making your training app almost useless to me, as the suggested lines are not at all close to real life games.

Unsure

Not sure about this. How do you put multiple players on “ranges” in a MTT when players are coming and going and tables are changing constantly? You are supposed to just “guess” what “range” they are playing in? And in the EV practice rounds for instance I had A-x and the flop comes out A-J-J. This was the one where there’s a little yellow section in the villains box that shows you his “range” which you would not have in live game of course because this is practice. It showed jacks were in his range so I put him on possible set. But anyway I made a bet which it rated as “ok” on the turn and villain calls. When assessing the board I felt like check fold was best but PostflopGTOPokerTrainer said I should push all in for this “positive EV” thing. Well when all said and done you can see what villain had and he had pocket aces full of jacks which would crush me and probably knock me out of the tournament. But I’m supposed to go with this because it was a “ positive EV” move? I’m not really catching on to this stuff. I like regular pot odds and intuition and use a tight aggressive style over all this ESP putting player on fantasy ranges that I don’t know and against multiple people I’ve never played against.

I like it, time will tell

So far one of the most user friendly apps I found for learning optional poker. Quality of PostflopGTOPokerTrainer and the detail of the spots is really nice. Price is a big problem for me as I’m scared of anything that is a subscription and otherwise PostflopGTOPokerTrainer is not really usable with the amount of free content it gives. They offer a 1 time purchase which is 200 dollars which might be the move but am not sure if it’s worth it for me as I’m still a low stakes player

Blunder bugs

Bugs all over PostflopGTOPokerTrainer. My ELO constantly gets hit by blunders even if there’s 4 options and I choose the 2nd best. It will charge me with a blunder. I deal this game 40 hours a week, and play as much as I can. PostflopGTOPokerTrainer used to be legit but it’s impossible to tell of you’re learning the correct habits, when the AI is sinking your ELO when you make positive ELO decisions. About to drop PostflopGTOPokerTrainer completely, doesn’t seem worth confusing my mind any longer.

Overall Fine

Pretty nice app. Major con is the fact that you have to have either a yearly subscription or monthly subscription to use. Really unfortunate how expensive it is. The other major drawback is the fact that it doesn’t provide reasoning behind blunders. Just says your move was a blunder, but doesn’t explain why. A person can’t really learn from mistakes if they’re not provided an explanation.

Great app but slightly pricey

Very pricey for what it does. Would like to see some specials to try out monthly and learn. Eddie you buy kind of deals would help. 200$ for lifetime license is a lot. Dollar a month js probably best price and everyone can afford.

GUI is outstanding, so hats off to devs.

Have to purchase multiple apps

You will need to purchase multiple apps in order to get Max benefit

Great but missing crucial thing

PostflopGTOPokerTrainer is great and shows you the optimal GTO move in every situation. The only thing it’s missing that it needs, is an explanation for WHY the move is GTO. A lot of times I’m left guessing trying to figure it out.

No FAQ I can find

I like PostflopGTOPokerTrainer layout but I dislike there is very little explanation on anything, mostly the preflop range color coding of assigned ranges for different positions. What does dark red vs pink mean? I’m sure it’s opening frequency but why no %?

Best Poker App !

i’ve been using PostflopGTOPokerTrainer for a month now and already see an improvement in my game. i recommend PostflopGTOPokerTrainer to anyone serious about talking their poker skills to the next level. And to the experienced players who want to plug leaks in there game PostflopGTOPokerTrainer is a must have

Good but complicated

Love PostflopGTOPokerTrainer but I need some help learning how to get the most out of it. I’ve watched YouTubes and joined Discord. But looking for a more fundamental walk through. What are range splits? What do all the different things mean and how do I use them?

Great GTO trainer

A lot of these coming out this past year and I’ve tried most all. This one is the best without question. Easier interface and super easy to use for quick study sessions.

Really great

PostflopGTOPokerTrainer is an awesome way to gamify your study of gto play. Very well designed, great ux, and regularly getting updated and improved. Highly recommend for fellow low/mid stakes grinders looking to for a fun on the go study tool.

The only features/improvements I’d love to see is:
- ability to select a subset of games/stack sizes/spots for quick play. I for example like to practice multiple spots on a session, but not multiple games.
- BVB spots broken down by preflop action (currently you have to click in to the detail panels to see if it was limp/srp/3b/4b)

Thanks, and keep improving.

Great app!!!

Just bought the lifetime membership after being in the fence. Best mobile application to train post flop play. Love it!!

OUTSTANDING!! :)

This is an excellent complimentary product to PreFlop+. I can absolutely see my game improving with both of these solid apps. Thank you so much for these high quality poker training apps.

UPDATE: loving PostflopGTOPokerTrainer even more after utilizing it daily! Also, the developer is awesome and super helpful with any questions you may have! EPIC! :)

Perfect

Honestly the gold standard on ios for gto training. although i’m not sure how many people can really benefit from using it if you don’t understand the underlying principles behind why this move is correct or why this is a blunder.

Helpful

Very nice app for beginners very helpful and for many different reasons

Great app for fun or training

I have been using PostflopGTOPokerTrainer to test and improve my game and get clearer mental images of the ranges I’m up against, but I have actually had a blast doing it. I can sink as much time into this as I can a free poker app, but this benefits my game rather than making it a detriment.

Hats off to the devs.

Solid App but I don’t think I’ll buy

PostflopGTOPokerTrainer is really good, although it was more than I was willing to pay so I won’t be subscribing. Still a five star app though.

This is an edit of my earlier review where I unfairly complained of the price.
