Tuned - a new app for couples Reviews

I absolutely love Tuned! It has been great for my long distant relationship. During the week, we are often pretty busy so texting back and forth can become a task, so being able to have a way to quickly show that we are thinking of each other by changing our feeling to “flirty” or sending a GiF or a quick snapshot of my current situation is awesome! The challenges and quizzes are cool too! There are questions in there that I wouldn’t have normally asked, I always look forward to see what his response is. My significant other loves it as well, I thought it was going to be hard to get him to try it. It’s funny how he actually uses it more often then me! And it’s an awesome way to create a time capsule of our relationship to reflect on. I did wish there were more editing features when it came to taking in app photos and filters but besides that, can’t complain

Love Tuned and everything about it. Creates a space to open discussion on topics that would otherwise be lost in the day to day activities of people who do long distance. It’s the little tiny things that Tuned helps push for couples that make it so amazing. Personally love it, been using it extensively. Only problem I have with it is that I am unable to log back in. I recently lost my phone so I tried downloading Tuned and connecting with my partner. However, I am not able to find my “secret key” that will enable me to connect with partner and redownload all the data between us. Even if she sends an invite link Tuned says it should “pre-populate” the secret key for me, to no avail. I tried contacting the company through the email provided through the troubleshooting portion of Tuned , but nothing there either. The email provided to voice complaints otherwise listed on the help center is not “registered” or maybe something is wrong with my phone. If anyone can help me that would be much appreciated.

My husband is on unaccompanied military training orders. The distance is new to us and we have been finding creative ways to stay connected and support each other long distance. Tuned quickly became a staple part of maintaining that connection- while I can't see us using many of the features (challenge, e-cards/notes) when we are under the same roof, we have both enjoyed them apart. Tuned has a broad range of ways to communicate, connect, play, and share... we utilize them in ways to make it personal and meaningful for us in different ways each day. While Tuned user interface, options and performance is top notch- the privacy of personal and identifier data is extremely important. Even though the privacy policies aren't the worst (especially for a free social app)... they are less than ideal/acceptable. Please consider updating your privacy and security (offer a paid version?). That app would hands down get 5 stars.

i literally never review ever but i’m hoping by helping Tuned out that other people will use it, and also maybe it’ll stay free for as long as possible .

i got Tuned a while ago with my boyfriend, cuz i just wanted something fun to do with him, in our own space where we could just focus on each other. i also really loved being able to ask and answer questions with him even when we didn’t have Tuned . but finding my own questions to ask was getting pretty exhausting.

we’ve been using Tuned now for like almost three months religiously on a day to day basis. it’s helped us communicate more, have a better understanding of each other’s thoughts and feelings, and helps motivate each other to take time in our own schedules to check up with one another. all the questions can also bring up some new ideas for us to discuss, and in general are just p fun.

there’s no better way to review this than to just heavily recommend this. as a real person, i’d like to say that Tuned has helped my own relationship tremendously and i highly suggest any other couples get Tuned as well. especially if you have a busy schedule like me.

My fiancé and I are in LOVE with Tuned. It’s great to send more nsfw pictures and messages haha where our roommates or families won’t accidentally see, the challenges are so fun and we send them constantly, and the check ins are great. I’m spending half a year abroad right now, and the time difference is about as bad as it could be, so we barely have any overlap time to talk. It’s been great to have Tuned to leave each other little messages and check-ins throughout the day without accidentally waking each other up with text alerts. We love this app!!!! Would highkey recommend to anyone, especially long distance friends and as a MUST for long distance friends with awful timezone/schedule overlaps haha!

I absolutely adore Tuned. It’s like a social media just for you and your partner. It helps us connect so well on many different levels. Being long distance makes it difficult to connect sometimes, so creating conversation and sharing memories through this app has helped us a lot. Not to mention if you have trouble expressing your emotions, this app provides a variation of emotions to choose from to share with your partner about how you’re feeling throughout the day. My partner and I have tried many different apps to help us find ways to feel more connected, and this app couldn’t be better for that.
I’ve already recommended Tuned to so many friends. Definitely 10/10. ❤️

This feels like a carbon copy of almost every other app for a couple that’s popular… Such as between us and others… And I don’t know but it just seems like too much going on for a nap between couples… Nobody wants to play trivia games of questions that we would never ask each other in the real world and I have to come up with an answer to match… That’s pretty stupid… Competing for challenges and what not…Why does every couples act I have to be gimmicky? Whatever happened to Tuned that was called just couple? It was easy to use didn’t have a whole bunch going on and it was very user-friendly and a lot of things were done live such as thumb kisses and live draw where you can play games together if you feel you wanted to or even write notes to each other in real time but it was all simple… Ever since that app went away this is how they all feel exactly like this one

Tuned is seriously amazing, its a simple fun way to spice up your relationship or a way to feel connected in a long distance relationship. I love that Tuned has so many features like challenges, the ability to share music, you can unlock it with face ID, and a mood feature. Its also ad free, which is something I really appreciate after so many apps with repetitive ads. The only feedback I really have is that I hope that images can be shared within the private chat, and that we get more challenges as Tuned progresses. I’m really excited to see how Tuned grows, I would recommend (and definitely will be recommending) to all my friends!

Overall, I love using Tuned with my boyfriend and the style is adorable. I also love how you can tag photos to events and make little highlight slideshows. However, there are some bugs with the comments and notifications. They don’t update in real time. Sometimes I can’t see something commented on a photo even if I already have it pulled up. I have to go to the specific notification of the comment to see it immediately. Another thing is things will take a while to appear even if I’ve received a notification I was sent a photo or a comment. I’ll open Tuned and nothing new will have loaded. Just some things that make the UX a little jarring, but I will continue using Tuned for the foreseeable future!

this works great and the person i this app with and i enjoy how it personalizes long-distance communication! but i do have some suggestions on how to make it better. firstly, if you could customize cards and stickers and whatnot more, that would be wonderful. some apps have ways you can create custom emojis and whatnot, stuff like that for the cards, stickers, reactions and so on would be very fun!

alongside that, there’s a bit of a glitch where when i try and press screen lock in the settings, it goes to the music syncing settings, not the lock. this could be because my iPhone
does not have the intended thumbprint function I think, so updating that to accommodate passcodes or something would be nice.

furthermore, manually entering your pronouns would be a little more inclusive than having to pick from the three available. i go by he/she, but unfortunately I could only pick one or the other, and it left a bit of a sour feeling.

and more of a nitpick: the brightness of Tuned is susceptible to make a lot of people dizzy. an alternative dark mode would be great! much thanks!

If you are thinking about getting Tuned for you and your partner, get it. I honestly don’t rate apps or write reviews. I just never take the time to do it, but I had to for Tuned!! It’s so fun!! And it’s absolutely adorable!! Me and my boyfriend love it. The feature that puts your partner in control of your nickname and profile picture is so cute and clever!! It’s ad free which is so amazing and you don’t have to pay money to have access to all the many categories of challenges and questions they offer!!! It’s so easy to use too!! Very easy to figure out, even the layout is aesthetically pleasing. Honestly love it so much and DEFINITELY recommend!!!

I live across the country from my girlfriend, and we both absolutely love Tuned. We look forward to learning about ourselves together through the challenges, and just keeping in touch in general. However, to my knowledge there is absolutely 0 ways to share links to anything. Websites, videos, there’s just no way to send links. So we end up sending videos and stuff through discord, and just using discord the rest of the night. So I don’t get as much use out of Tuned as I hoped. If they fixed the links, it would be the best app. 10/10. But since this problem exists, I’d have to give it a 7.5/10. Still super good and fun, but the problem is very annoying.

It enhances relationships by increasing communication. It is like a social media platform, but just between you two. It does this in many different ways.
The challenges are great. They give a little
Information to your loved one without making it awkward. Like what’s your favorite food, or what’s your top 3 bands, or who would make a better boss. It’s little stuff but it adds up because you get to know your partner better, or it reminds you of you partner constantly.

I recommend head to head challenges. They are awesome and provide great comparing or contrasting answers. The heart emojis are super crazy cute and unique. I love all of the different ways you can communicate to your partner like sending specific pictures about each other and reminiscing on good times or vacations. It’s just a great app.

I will say it might be even better if you had like actual 1v1 challenges like who can tap the fastest on an interface or who can count to 60 the fastest or some silly competition might be fun.

yes i’m a real person—this is the first review i’ve ever written but i have to because it’s the best app i own. my boyfriend and i don’t see each other often but the ability to share music, do challenges, send pictures, write lists like date nights or other things and so much more is just so amazing and has helped us a lot. it’s such an awesome app. highly highly highly suggest you get it especially if you have a LDR!!!!!!!!!!! :) my only suggestion is more questions for the challenges or an option where one partner can write the other a question or something like that! :)

I absolutely love Tuned so far. My biggest problems with it would have to be the loading times, for some reason videos take forever to load and sometimes don’t send all together and are lost forever. Loading times in general for Tuned seem to run a bit slow and I’m sad that I can’t go on any past memories without Tuned crashing. But I’m assuming these are things that will be fixed with time.
I love the challenges, they create great conversations and I’d love to continue to see more. I know this review was a lot more negative than positive, those are just things I’d love to have fixed and then I’d be all about Tuned

I highly recommend a feature called thumb kiss, originally named in the old, non existent app called couple. Thumb kiss provides a full blank screen that is real time between each partner, when both in this setting, thumb kiss, and imprint of each other’s thumbs will appear on the screen, if the thumb is removed it disappears, but if the thumbs chase each other, and get closer, the screen turns pink then more pink then red then once the thumbs are aligned each participants phone vibrates. Rename it or call it thumb kiss, but I think it would be a wonderful feature to Tuned. Thank you.

so me and my boyfriend downloaded Tuned after seeing a tiktok of another couple recommending it. we don’t live as far away from each other as some couples do, but it’s still a considerable distance and this is a great tool for sharing our feelings with each other in a quick and efficient way. the challenge feature is so fun for learning things about each other that you would never think to ask on your own. i love Tuned so much. i highly highly recommend this to any couple and not just those of us in LDRs.

Me and my boyfriend love Tuned. I found it and sent it to him, thinking he was gonna hate it, but he took a look at all the features and decided he would give it a try. I was already shocked lol. He really quickly grew to love it. It’s just so easy to stay in touch and quickly tell each other how you’re feeling in the moment. It’s also helped us to be more open about how we feel about each other and what we want in the future, and it’s just been really sweet. Highly recommend for established couples!! Seems like it could get a bit awkward for brand-new couples.

I have always had problems communicating with my fiancé because of past trauma. and we would try everything to help me. write in a notebook and respond later on, texting it, writing it specifically for him, saying it directly, all of it. None of it really worked.
Me and my fiancé have had Tuned for almost a week, and it has changed our relationship, i feel closer, i learn more about him. i can tell him exactly how i am feeling at that moment in time, and we can do exercises, challenges, can send cards, pictures. all of it. it is truly amazing.

My partner an I love using Tuned. It has many personal touches like your own pronouns. We love the challenges an the mood feature. However, we would love to be able to write our own questions to answer! Overall, Tuned has brought us closer than ever. You remember the littlest things through the questions an brings back that spark. We love that you can upload your own picture to look back on later. Tuned also tracks your anniversary an counts down the dates! We will continue to use Tuned!

Listen, 3 stars is because it’s already in a pretty solid space. The ui is fun although it takes a little time to get used to but I appreciate it feeling more special than just iMessage/WhatsApp/messenger etc. I can tell it will be fun once it’s a bit more filled in. Hopefully it’ll be easy to search in also if you want to look through old photos and such.

I feel like it’s missing the “amazing” feeling because a few basic things are missing. Like being able to put in dates that matter to you such as anniversaries, birthdays and more. That should almost given if you’re targeting in on couples. Right now it feels ok and polished but a bit barebones.

Overall, having a special place to chat with someone special is great. I like that I can download all data too. Looking forward to seeing evolve into something more full fledged.

Me and my bf met online and have been together for a year now. We try to find new ways to make our relationship new and exciting. So I was very eager to try Tuned when I heard about it. Problem is and it is the only reason why I gave this a two star, my bf lives in New Zealand. And Tuned is not available in his country. So weather Tuned it’s self is good or not I wouldn’t know. But from the looks of it. It doesn’t seem that interesting. Pls make this available in other countries. Don’t forget about the people in LONG distance relationship!

Tuned is the best! I have an excuse to hide everything I want to share with my bae from the rest of the world. It saves me time on special occasions because I can just open it up and BAM send her a card. And when we break up it’s so easy to just delete my account and pretend like it never happened. Five stars and two thumbs up!!

This has a lot of potential. Great job on the design! The existing features work well but are limited. Right now it's missing some obvious features to be useful on a regular basis.

Features needed:
- Create a shared list feature, ideally with To-Do checklist style options
- Add a view to only see all photos shared
- Add a list of all songs shared
- Add a shared calendar with reminders for important events
- Add a way to share / track likes / dislikes, and ideally add a way to categorize these
- Allow multiple comments / replies between both partners on each timeline item

Bug:
When deleting a comment from the detail view and then proceeding to create a new comment Tuned freezes.

I honestly love Tuned. We have tried between and is just too bogged down and the UI is not friendly. this app is great so far. I wish there were a few other features. But I’m sure more will come in time.

So in love with Tuned! I was using a shared fb account to share everything between us but Tuned really makes me satisfied👏🏻 Hope Tuned will have new versions soon and can't wait to try this with my boyfriend

I LOVE Tuned!! It’s perfect for me and my boyfriend (who live 3,000 miles apart) to stay super close and connected. Perfect if you just want to send a simple little something to make your partner smile😊

I use Tmobile and have a cellular Apple Watch and there’s some weird number porting thing happening that prevents me from getting some security codes.

If you add the ability to receive a call for security codes in addition to texts I could use it.

I like the idea of having a separate app and I like the colors / feel if it. Seems to have potential if they can add more things I can do in it

Instead of working on enhancing the Compnay reputation in terms of privacy issues
. Here is another example that the Compnay won’t give up on trying to know every single detail about your life.
Tuned main goal is to know who is your significant other, something the current Facebook platform won’t give them access to.
If the Compnay goal was to let couples really connect! Why would they insist on your phone number as the only way to use Tuned !!

What’sapp and also keep collecting phone murmurs and contacts.

Do you really want to trust Facebook with your personal relationship data? Do you really believe they will dedicate the resources needed to keep your conversations safe?

How about using everything you already have? iMessage, Photos sharing, Voice calls? Or install secure messaging apps like Signal or Keybase.

Facebook is not your friend.

This is a good app for couples to express themselves on the go or throughout the day when separated! Would like to see more stickers and GIF added then I will update to 5 star.

New posts from my partner don’t appear without killing & reloading Tuned . The music sharing function doesn’t appear to work. Good idea, but looking for the 1.2 release to straighten out the bugs.
