I downloaded this app as I was interested in getting updates on new papers being published in an array of scientific interests, but it is not that. The community is the same thing you see on Twitter and LinkedIn with a number of “influencers” posting pseudo scientific media articles about potential discoveries or over blown titles about scientific news. That was all well and good for some but not what I was interested in so I had them delete my account, which was fairly simple. The reason for the bad review is it’s now been a few weeks since deletion and they keep emailing me lists/updates/things to check out and it’s become a bother. Don’t sign up for this unless you are absolutely sure you want it.

When I see an article I want to read but don’t have time that moment I use to email it to myself, and... never actually read it. I now can organize everything I want to check out in one place and go to bookshlf when I have that extra few mins.
Awesome to see what others are posting too! So many good book recommendations, TV shows and corky articles I wouldn’t ever see otherwise!

If you’re like me, you get a lot of your news, journalism, and reading from the internet. Finding good stuff can be really hard—most social media platforms have failed as media sources (too much drama, dumb AI curation, thoughtless hot-takes, etc). Bookshlf is a welcomed alternative to all those other platforms.
If your looking for a way to discover and share enlightening, entertaining, and engaging content curated by interesting people, join the Bookshlf community!
