Edison was better

I’m bummed to discover I need a new goal and project management tool thanks to this merger. The new interface doesn’t give you a good overview of your projects and goals. In fact, it has renamed them “tasks” and added them to the ugly new calendar “feature”, which basically looks like a confusing and over-scheduled Google calendar with overlapping events.

review

its a lovely app & i love the style of it. lt would be nice if it were to send me notifications though. i set reminders on it and end up forgetting to do something.

Great Concept! But...

Creating sub tasks is infuriating 😂
I have been on the lookout for an app that allows me to put my tasks on a horizontal timeline for longer than I can say. The moment I saw this app, I downloaded it immediately.
However, trying to add sub tasks is more complicated than it needs to be.
For example, I added my first task of the day which was Morning Routine. I then wanted to divide it into sub tasks such as get dressed, bathroom, contacts, brush hair.
Each task takes only a minute or two, but Mightyday defaulted to let the smallest time amount be only five minutes. You can edit the amount of time it takes for each task by typing in the correct amount of time, however, this is where it gets annoying.
Whenever I edited each subtask to only take 1-2 minutes (depending on the task, like 2 minutes to get dressed), it glitched out and reset every other sub task to take 20 minutes. I edited each one again individually and when I checked back, each subtask was now taking the appropriate amount of time to complete. But when I edited the final sub task and clicked save, it reset the sub tasks again to take 20 minutes each. I have been trying to correct it now for about 15 minutes to no avail.
I really, really want to like Mightyday because it seems like it's everything I've been looking for. But the glitchiness is very annoying. Hopefully it'll be fixed soon

The mediocre progression of technology marches on

I relied on Edison for about a year and a half to make sure I didn't miss deadlines, and it worked. Mightyday (Mighty Day) has many of the same features, but setting the times on tasks is fun though a bit difficult, I haven't figure out if there's a way to have subtasks without assigning them a time (they're not allowed to overlap), Mightyday seems to require internet access, and marking weekly tasks complete doesn't seem to actual go through, they just keep reappearing. If going back to Edison were an option I would, but my phone accidentally switched to auto-update and now this is all I have I guess. It's nice, I just wish we could have nice things without also breaking the perfectly good old ones. I came here to complain, but all in all it does fulfill a need I have at the best price (free).

Would love to get into this

But I can’t. No dark mode. For an app that asks you to use it at the end of the day for reflection, this is a crime against melatonin production

I can’t use this until it has dark kode

potential

yall, Mightyday is great so far. i love the layout very much but it's too limiting. i try to use it for school but it only has 2 reminders you can set. it's more useful in scheduling to have notifications / reminders on each task that you list so that you can get a notif when you need to do something. but Mightyday doesn't do that. also, you cant freely alter the times fo each task. it's a thing where you have to drag end and beginning times and it won't let you stop it on certain times for some reason. it's easy to do it like this rather than enter the time, but we should be able to drag it on any time we need. lastly, when i watched a video discovering Mightyday , it told about how you can make a goal and make subgoals that you can easily make for each day and while that feature is useful, another useful feature would be the option to make a single task and copy that same exact task to any day you want, like how you can copy cards on trello to different lists.

Love but could use work

I love Mightyday (in theory). When setting the time for a todo thing, it can be glitchy; It would be better if it was a scroll not a type in. It would also be cool if it could sync with apple calendar.

Good but lacks some important features

I downloaded Mightyday in order to plan my days and weeks at a time so I can manage my tasks and time better, but I don’t like how you can’t set a time or day on the sub tasks, there should be an option for that so you know exactly when to do what. I also don’t like how you can’t set a goal to repeat everyday/every week, custom, etc like you can on google calendar, that would be super useful so you don’t have to go in and put “exercise” or “study” manually for everyday at 3pm or something.

It’s really impractical for me so I had to delete Mightyday. I’m already short on time, I don’t have time to go plan every second of my day, I wish I could just copy and paste the same day for Monday-Friday and tweak it depending on events that vary in my schedule.

So good…but

Mightyday is amazing. For goal setting, tracking and achieving there isn’t anything better. However, it really needs a calendar overview. Please, please implement that:)

Amazing Overall

I’m a self-directed home school student and have fond Mightyday very helpful for keeping my studies organized. The ability to start at a larger goal and narrow it down has made a big change in my organization. Highly recommend giving Mightyday a try if your in a situation like mine.

Most practical organisation app I have come across

Love the way Mightyday breaks bigger goals down into manageable chunks. Extremely helpful for those who tend to procrastinate because the task seems so overwhelming. Additionally, the choice between daily, weekly, monthly, yearly goals is a wonderful idea, could be improved by being able to set custom timelines. Also, would be cool if we could add a widget for Mightyday on the home screen

Excellent app for students

Love Mightyday loads! There is room for improvement but considering how new this is- I’d rather sympathise for the developer(s). Awesome app so I’d highly recommend it if you’re a student or prospective student. Helps cut down huge tasks into bite sized assignments

Great Potential

Mightyday is really great and I particularly enjoy the ability to break down goals into task across different periods. This allows me to really see how my daily work is affecting my larger tasks.

Feedback or Features I would love to see:

-ability to change email with account I signed up with my email I’d love to be able to add my email in so I could login using my gmail as well

- calendar import from apple calendar or other calendar apps and the ability to have non goal events that are reoccurring such as classes or clubs or activities a student may partake in (ie. I tutor once a week and I’d love to add that into my schedule)

-ability to set up recurring tasks for a goal like practicing something daily

New idea

I love Mightyday! Could you get the daily goal a cycle function?
Please!

Widget highly needed.

App is amazing wish it had a widget & smart watch app tho.

Per - Fect

This is exactly what I wanted!

Keeping your events in one place with smart goals and also tracking them!

Super clean app, Almost smooth!!
Bravo
Keep the good work!
Tnx.

Great app

Thank you so much

Best Studying App for College Students

I keep an agenda, but Mightyday is so easy to operate. I love that you can cross things off. This is the best app you can use for keeping track of your classes and assignments. 10/10 recommend.
