Bright Potential (EDITED)

THIS IS a really neat app with bright potential. The most remarkable thing so far is the easy note taking/sharing. I look forward to how the “Bible progress” page will develop and be used.

MY PREVIOUS review gave Carry FOUR stars because it seemed to me that you couldn’t remove or revise your notes (**it turns out I was just doing something wrong**) and I took notice that there are no bible versions currently available which include the Roman Catholic and Orthodox Christian greater canons. I suggested adding the following versions: The Douay-Rheims (Richard Challoner revision), the RSV/ESVCE, the WEB with the Deuterocanon, The 1611 KJV, and/or the Orthodox Study Bible.

A DEVELOPER of Carry kindly responded to me, pointing out my error regarding removing/revising notes, and assured me that they plan on adding more bible versions as soon as possible. For these reasons, I am giving Carry *FIVE* stars. This is a very promising bible app and stands out for its intentions. I look forward to seeing how it continues to grow, develop, and cultivate a community. Thanks for everything.

Super easy way to start a daily Bible habit

What’s the hardest thing about reading the Bible? For many, it’s the simple act of even opening the Bible. this app makes it super easy to commit reading God’s Word at a pace that works for you. You don’t have to worry about what to read or how much to read. You just choose a goal and this app walks you through the journey of reading the Bible one bite-sized chunk at a time.

There is also a social aspect to Carry, so you can read the Bible with your friends and discuss it with them. Reading the Bible with friends is very encouraging and exciting.

this app, continue doing the good work of seeking God’s direction in making Carry. I’ve watched over the past year and a half on how Carry has changed, and I’m proud of you all for being agile and open-hearted to follow God’s promptings.

I now work for the YouVersion Bible app, and I am cheering the this app team on. May God continue to bless your team and Carry, and may it lead so many people to love God and to love others.

Amazing! ❤️

I love Carry so much! I’m so glad it finally got released!! It’s such an amazing and beautiful app about a community that loves Jesus and wants to be feed by Him daily. Also, the loving community that it has of other fellow believers that you can fellowship with in like small groups. It’s great for teens too, I really find it inviting and strengthening my relationship with the Lord. Would totally, completely recommend!!!

Good App, Needs Improvements

This is a good app, but needs improvements. Some of the text is cutoff and cannot be seen. This makes it difficult to know what the questions are for the Bible studies.

Some in depth Bible studies are what I figured would be available. Maybe this does already exist and I haven’t found them yet, but I will continue to look.

Carry doesn’t allow reading of the scriptures like the YouVersion app.

I do like how some of the study plans are customizable for the number of chapters to be covered.

I do like how there can be some private conversations with individuals that don’t have to be viewed by others.

Carry is ok, but can use some improvements stated above. My preference is the YouVersion app, but I will continue to use this one too for studying with some friends.

Excellent idea, well realized, not perfect

Idea behind Carry is unreal! The implementation of features is excellent, but some are missing that should be available, such as the sharing of notes between friends, or even the backup of notes taken/ or study threads between the group.
Also, there are kinks to work out as far as bugs. Overall though, this is an amazing way to have study groups through technology. What a blessing!

Very great start. Love this app and all that it does.

For the most part Carry runs very well, and I love all that it seeks to accomplish! My only request would be that the chatting could be a little smoother, and maybe an option for those who prefer reading a physical Bible, that they would be able to mark it as read instead of having to scroll. Also, unless I am blind, I do not see an option to change translations of the Bible?

Crashing (Edit: THIS IS GREAT!)

Carry looks like it’d be really great, but after tapping ‘login with google’ and logging in, Carry crashes.

The UI looks clean and slick, and the idea is amazing.

I’m hoping that I can re-review Carry when I get the opportunity to use it!

Edit: Initially I gave low stars for the crashing issue, but after getting to use Carry , I LOVE IT! It is so easy to make/share groups, you can change between chapters instantly (unlike the popular youversion app which take 2-5 seconds to change chapters). There is a light/dark mode for the UI that is incredibly easy to select between.

TLDR.
This is great. Try it out with some friends and you’ll probably love it! Can’t wait to see everything to come in the future with Carry!

Amazing Work

Carry is awesome. Especially in these difficult times where gathering is difficult.
I think it is unique because you are able to chat directly in Carry with your groups. That is an amazing feature.
Also, the team is really helpful and always trying to help me.

If you want to start a reading group. You MUST have Carry!

It’s great :)

I have needed an app like this to keep myself more feasibly accountable. I know the importance of reading God’s word and keeping fellowship with other Christians, but staying routine is not always one of my strong suits. This will help me remember with daily reminders and streaks!!

Good concept, but needs some adjustments

I love the idea of studying the Bible with friends. This was one of the main reasons for me downloading Carry. However, once a friend tried to make a group and added me to it, Carry crashed and anytime I open Carry , it is stuck on the screen where it says “you’ve been invited by ———- to join —————!” No matter how long or how many times I press accept, it continues to stay on that screen. Would really appreciate it if this bug was fixed before mid-January.

Bible Groups: Bringing us together in the Truth

It’s so important to read the truth. Equally important to share it. Carry does a great job doing just that! We are building groups to share the Word and our experiences.

VERY Small problem is that when completing a daily reading goal, the screen does not allow me to go back to the main group discussion. I have to close and restart Carry to go back.

Thankful for this app!

I love the conscience of Carry. I really appreciate the chat feature that organizes the chats under each chapter. It keeps the chat from getting cluttered and it’s easy to look back. Carry does glitch on me sometimes. Also, I can’t go look back at the chapter without losing what I have typed for my response. So I have to copy them paste it again.

I tried

I tried to really like Carry. I wanted it to work so bad. But it just didn’t. It would crash and freeze and boot me out. It has deleted my group two times already. I started a group that wanted to use Carry but they almost all had issues. Including myself. I moved away from my hometown two years ago and miss my friends. We would’ve been able to read the Bible and encourage each other if only Carry worked. The concept is phenomenal. The execution is awful.

A lot of potential...

Carry has a lot of potential, but it is still rough around the edges. I can’t figure out how to change my profile name, for instance, and the pricing structure seems complicated and confusing. It would be great if there was a dedicated help section or a way to contact support from within Carry . I would also love to see more Bible versions like NRSV or CEB.

Great App!!!!

It really is helpful and is also organized it keeps my verses highlighted and I have a place where I kept all my notes. Also for my youth group it helps us to keep reading and stay focused on God

By

Great for my youth group!!!

Very helpful for getting my youth more involved with each other and the Word! I also love how I can connect with others around the world in Bible studies! The only this is that I want to be able to make note and highlight while I’m doing a Bible study! But overall great!!!

Excellent Idea, but needs improvement

I 100% want Carry to be a success. I love the idea and want to use Carry with my friends and our Lifegroup. However, there are glitches and crashes that pretty much prevent us from using it. Once those get fixed, I believe Carry has great potential. I’m really excited for this so I hope it can be fixed very soon!!

A Must Have App For Believers

I’ve tried tons of bible apps, but the experience of doing it with friends has been transformational for me. I believe God intended for us to lean on one another for growth and Carry is helping me do that!

It is great but the app has a few problems

Amazing!

Carry is the best app for religion I have ever had. It helps me focus and let’s you really focus on certain parts of the Bible. I 100% recommend!

By

LOVE IT!

Best Bible app I have used so far! You are able to have some really great Bible schedules, and adding the area to leave notes is fantastic! This is not to mention how amazing it looks and feels! Looking forward to continuing to see it grow!
