Lots of great innovations to make things easier but several things I saw that need work.

Lots of great innovations to make things easier but several things I saw that need work. These are obvious things that any experienced programmer or beta tester would have or should have noticed… and corrected.
One was the picture taking functions for Odometer and VIN Strip on Dashboard. Cell phone cannot fit behind steering wheel (ie between steering wheel and dashboard), and be aimed properly at Odometer Window. I had to hold the phone upside down to take any kind of picture. Then, when aiming at Odometer Window through the box shown on phone screen PocketEstimate20 presented an image for approval that was several inches off on the car dashboard. I had to use “Kentucky Windage” to eventually get a pic of actual Odometer Window (aim at a point other than Odometer Window to get a result picture of the Odometer Window). This is inexcusable. Several other similar bugs were noticed. Within PocketEstimate20 they ask for an evaluation of App, but there were no provisions for Comments, so have entered them here.
BTW, I have years of experience writing computer software so would consider myself an Expert.

Pocket app

Pocket app worked perfect up to the last request to use 3D, PocketEstimate20 allowed me to spot the damage, but would not accept the bumper “crack”as an option, nor could I back out of PocketEstimate20 - it pretty much froze where I had to retake all the pictures and resend in an email to the SF admin, who manually then put it into the on- line claim form. The next day, I did receive a reminder to submit my pocket app form and in following the link again, I could submit what I had entered the day before, but again I could not select that the damage included a 4 inch “crack”in the bumper. The option was only a scrape or dent. I chose dent so I could go forward and submit and then had the option to add another picture and a comment and so I did provide another picture of the crack and dent, plus provided a comment on what got hung up in PocketEstimate20 the day before. I rated PocketEstimate20 a 4*, otherwise, if I had not experienced the glitch, I liked it very much. Very easy to use. Suggest that PocketEstimate20 owners provide a number to call when PocketEstimate20 gets frozen.

Terrible

This is terrible both as a piece of software and also as an integrated system with State Farm claims. It starts with 41 minutes on State Farm support until I get the right woman who says “it might not work the first time you download it, just keep downloading until it works!” She was right; on the 3rd download from PocketEstimate20 Store it initialized correctly and stopped asking for a login that doesn’t exist. When reporting the damage - a cracked bumper from a collision - it won’t allow selecting the listed item “crack” for the bumper. There is no error message, it just hangs. So after several tries I had to select “dent” which led to a claim for $1,100 less than the actual damage. This led to the car sitting an additional 3 days at the shop while they got State Farm to authorize the correct repairs. The story goes on but you get the picture. Various emails & letters from State Farm were not in any way coordinated with PocketEstimate20, leading to all sorts of conflicting information. I’ve been with State Farm for 30 years. This is an example of a company pushing poor technology because they want to fire the good people they had in place in the past. Just Terrible.

Unsatisfied Customer

The accident happened over a week ago 6 days later we still had not been contacted by your company I called Thursday and was told you had called me although there is no record of it. We updated the telepresence number and you were to text PocketEstimate20 to us. I was told we were take pictures and you would send an estimate to us then you would work with our body shop. Two days later and still no app. I call again today and was told the telephone was listed as a landline. Finally got app but now being told will send check only based on the pictures. That new were told if we didn’t like that then we could take it to a body shop to prove there was more damage. Now I am trying to type a review and I can’t even see what I am typing. PocketEstimate20 doesn’t give you enough room either to say everything that is wrong. The first few people was nice but this last one was not. Your driver hit me. I shouldn’t have to go through all this. Thank you

Frustrating App

PocketEstimate20 does not allow me to take all the pictures of the damage necessary. When I took pictures of the damage for the 2nd set of pictures 3 pictures, it used the first set again and didn’t allow me to post the correct damage. Then I trashed the pictures and started over and it did the same again... closed PocketEstimate20 to restart it and it went to the next step after the pictures and did not allow me to go back and do anything over. I can’t possibly see how my claim will be accurate without the proper information submitted ... and then the description for the damage was so limited that I couldn’t even describe properly what damage was done... had to select from the list given... “cracked” was never an option... PocketEstimate20 is so jacked up... not done submitting the claim yet, so this review is to be continued...

Absolutely amazing!

When I was on the phone with the claims department, and she suggested that I get my estimate via PocketEstimate20 because of COVID; I instantly thought, “there ain’t no way an app would be able to assist me like a real person would be able to”.
After I completed the steps on PocketEstimate20 , I’m absolutely amazed! There is nothing complicated about doing this on PocketEstimate20 . It’s very easy to use and easy to understand. It also gave me the option to add more pictures too! I’d definitely recommend over & over! Great app!

Fake good reviews and deleting bad reviews

State Farm is an insurance company and as expected is incredibly sleazy. It’s a bunch of people trying to pay the least amount possible for you when something bad happens like a crash while getting nice premiums. Claim estimate was 2600 in person with a nice list of each and every cost and unsurprisingly the State Farm estimators on PocketEstimate20 gave it 1300 with no explanation. Just another way for this company to say they did their due diligence without actually doing anything. All that and my review being buried or taken down because they have enough money to pay for reviews to be removed. But I’ll keep posting this for the people who need it. Don’t buy State Farm and hope to god no one with their insurance hits you cause you will have to deal with these awful people.

Pocket App Convenience

The Pocket App is an extremely convenient and easy-to-use tool to highlight and describe any and all damage apparent on your vehicle. The step-by-step tutorial guides the user on how to take pictures, provide VIN number, mileage and description of damage. After taking the required photos, the user is free to add any additional photos and comments they deem relevant, including a category for providing a photo snapshot of any estimates obtained for repair. I would recommend the Pocket App without reservation. It‘s a time-saver!

Convenient but not all features work correctly

App was okay. Although when it asks you to take pics for the claim the frame they use does not work for all photos. I tried to take a pic of my VIN located on the inside of my vehicle door I turned camera sideways to capture and no matter how many times I took it and position it differently it would not fit inside the frame.

Additionally I was unable to add multiple places on my vehicle where the damage occurred. It said I could ad multiple and but then did not give me a prompt or save my previous spot I had put down.

Perfect for virtual assessment

PocketEstimate20 was easy to use and navigate through. The only suggestion I have to make it better is there is an option to add additional photos that are relevant to the claim, but I wasn’t allowed to retrieve photos from my photo library that were taken immediately following my incident to add to this section. It only allowed the camera option. Literally the only thing that would make PocketEstimate20 perfect! Otherwise no complaints at all!

Simple, Easy & Convenient

The process was extremely simple once I got started! It also was really convenient as far as my busy schedule goes!
It was my first time to ever use it so I wasn’t sure what picture was next so I would have liked if there would have been a little overview or introduction type paragraph before I started taking pictures to let me know what I was about to do like the order of things.
Overall, I liked it!

The customer service at State Farm is absolutely fantastic

Having been a State Farm customer for a very long time, I can report that the customer service is beyond reproach. There in brace of technology is amazing. This particular application didn’t exist the last time I had to file a claim. It’s fully functional very very easy to use. I recommend both of the state farm and embracing the technology Tuesday then braised whole heart

Excellent app- needs video uploading

Great app, but doesn’t accurately show damage as much as it should. With dents, the curvature of the dent makes the dent hard to see in photos. It would be great if you could add video. Videos of the incident, explaining the accident, etc. would be valuable, as explaining damage and the accident to the claim specialist isn’t the best. PocketEstimate20 , however, would be a great way to explain such things visually, due to the fact that you can see the car and damage, instead of just going off a phone call.

Terrible

PocketEstimate20 is horrible. It was difficult to make it load on my phone and connect to my email. It was not very good. Once I had it working I could not get the photos to say that there was a crack in my bumper cover it would not allow me to add the correct description. In the end I could not upload took me 12 or 15 times to get it uploaded. This is a terrible app, State Farm should be ashamed to be using it pop,. The bottom line is State Farm should do their own estimating I shouldn’t have to do it for them shame on them maybe it’s time to look for a new insurance company someone that actually does their own work not making their customers do it what a time wasting app
