Pick a theme for your morning verse from a variety of verse packs: Calm, Inspired, Happy, Faithful, Motivated or Strong - each with unique verses matching its theme.
Shine is free to download with a Sample pack containing verses from each of the Verse Packs.
Payment will be charged to the credit card connected to your iTunes account when you confirm the initial subscription purchase.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current subscription period.
Pick one pack to set a mood for your morning - or select any number to get random verses from all packs.
Any unused portion of the free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, and the cost of renewal will be identified.

I love Shine! My mom heard it one day and asked me what app it was and she instantly downloaded it and bought the packs! Then she gave me money and forced me to buy them also haha! However I think it’s frustrating that you have to unlock your phone and open Shine to snooze it. Sometimes I’m soo sleepy and I don’t wanna open it and snooze it because I’m so drowsy. Also, I wish it would work when I have my phone on vibrate like the iPhone alarm does. Sometimes I’ll forget to put it and it doesn’t ring and I’ve been late. Otherwise I love Shine!! It doesn’t scare me like other apps do and I feel calm and awake.

Had to click several times before it finally let me open the sample pack should program it better. Then you can only have 1 alarm ever and it keeps going off even when it’s not suppose to. Shine was poorly programmed and they are just trying to scam honest Christians into thinking that it’s good!

The idea of waking up to bible verses is nice, but you can make no modifications to what you wake up to i.e. gender of voice, background music, personally selected bible verses instead of pre-selected packets (although the packet selections are nice). The design and lay-out are nice, and I think it’s going in the right direction.

I would give this five stars but it does not work when you use the snooze button. It has made me wake up late twice now.
