GoRemo: Go remote as pro hero Reviews

I am on an iPhone X ios 14.3, Apple Watch Series 3 (WatchOS 7.3), and Hero 5 Black. I tried three different Hero firmware (1.5, 2.51, and 2.7), but the watch can't connect to the camera. The only useful feature of GoRemo is the watch capablity which is not working. I understand the developer is too small to update GoRemo every GoPro firmware realease, but I think it should be documented which GoPro firmware is supported before buying GoRemo.

UPDATE: You need to select Conenct to GoPro App on the GoPro itself in order to connect to this app, do not select Bluetooth Device. Worked on GoPro Hero 2.51 firmware. Did not test on the latest release of 2.7. I also noticed issues with connection if I try connecting the GoPro app and the this app app at the same time.

No problem installing and connecting iPhone, Apple Watch 6 and Gopro Hero 9. Functionality however is very limiting. There is only one standard preset for each shooting mode. If start shooting with custom preset using camera buttons, then can not stop it with remote. There is no manual and I could not figure out all tricks and may be missing something. I can turn camera off with Watch, but turning on is not always work. However, if camera is on, reconnecting is not a problem. Anyway, it is better than nothing. Could be useful in some situations with just standard presets.

No problem connecting Apple Watch 6 to GoPro Hero 10, and working good enough. But there’s no single shot mode option or a timer shot option, only burst pictures option and few video modes. I guess I still need to get actual remote for GoPro. GoRemo was waste of money for me.

Connected with my hero 9. So far has connected every time.

Later going to see if I can get it to connected with my fusion.

Great app for 3 bucks.

I only bought GoRemo just now for the ability to place highlight markers right from my wrist. So I would have to get in the way or shake the camera.
Please fix this (iPhone 7plus, Apple Watch Series 5, GoPro Hero7 Black) then I will be returning to redo my review. Till then, I’ve wasted my money.

Update: he’s right it did fix the issue. Very pleased with the developers work ethic.

Upgraded my watch and tried to setup the this app app. It will not connect and the website appears to be messed up??? I can not get to the website or support page, instead it tries to redirect me to third party pages.

Does not work with apple watch 7 and hero 10, GoRemo on the watch just stalls after connecting. I have already deleted and requested a refund. Very disappointed.

I bought GoRemo to use with my apple watch but it says cannot connect to camera. Is it not compatible with gopro 4+?

It was working fine before the iOS 14 update. Now it crashes and won’t even open. Can you update GoRemo so it can work with apple watch again? Thanks!

Device connects fine and will shoot in whatever mode the camera is already in but will not change the camera mode. It will say photo/video... etc in GoRemo but when you trigger the shutter it only triggers whatever mode the camera was set to, not the mode selected on GoRemo .

Great, you can turn on/off camera, select mode and start/stop video/take pictures from apple watch. Regarding photos, please enable delayed start (3s, 5s, custom). Video preview would be beneficial but it is not a must!

Through GoRemo I connected my Hero 5 black with no problems at all. Would’ve gave it 5 stars if it had a live view. Also, connected my series 3 Apple Watch to my Hero 5 black with no issues as well. Works like a charm!

You need to connect as a GoPro App ( the camera doesn’t recognize the watch as a Smart Remote). Works awesome! Can’t wait to get it out on the water (mounting the Max in my kite lines for kiteboarding)

I was bummed out when GoPro took off remote for Apple Watch this works perfect ! I’m using Apple Watch series 5 with GoPro hero 8 no issues at all !

Thought this was a great companion app for my GoPro but doesn’t connect to my GoPro Max.

Purchased GoRemo hoping it would be a fix to the GoPro app that no longer supports Apple Watch functionality. I have an IPhone 11 pro and 5 series watch. Took a chance considering it’s only 3 bucks. GoRemo works decent on the phone but totally worthless for your watch! Do not buy you have warned.

Initially worked when downloaded but now it just crashes when opened on watch, can’t remember if it was before the update or not.

Really disappointing, do not buy GoRemo !! Im on Hero 8 black with apple watch s4 with latest ios and the remote app doesn’t work most of the time, it get disconnected very easly, i cant connect apple watch app with the camera, better save those $3.99 and buy an gopro remote controller, i really want my money back.
