On numerous occasions I see lighting strike, look at LightningTracker , and nothing. I mistakenly purchased the no advertising upgrade before using LightningTracker very much. Therefore I have a worthless app and wasted $2.99.

This free app has an add right in the middle of the page. It gets in the way of
the map. You can’t seem to get rid of it! Good luck to those who depend on it!

As an athletic trainer and my responsibility to keep safety of athletes in mind I’m constantly looking for new apps that are better and more consistent with exact distance. I think this could be pretty good for what I need. Needs some more options and maybe where everything is at but I like how It shows where exactly and different colors for time away but wish It had exact time. Because for me I need any lightening within ten miles activity is held for 30 minutes if this could do that, could be huge for my line of work for athletic trainers and coaches!!

I work outside everyday sometimes deep in the woods and it’s great to see what’s coming and how long we have to get out to our trucks. It doesn’t only show you lightning strikes for your area it gives you a broad area depending on how far you zoom out so you can judge approximately how much time you have.

LightningTracker is asking me to rate the lightning strike counter, so with that said how can you know how accurate it really is? All I know is it seems to be pretty accurate & allows you enough time to shelter in place.
