Demo is short and no options to purchase in full. A little pricey to begin with and then there’s expansion cost as well??? Camera doesn’t seem to have the right angles or maybe it’s bc we can’t see through the opaque trees. Pines and leaves should become transparent when approaching. Camera should have reactive adjustments so the hold angle and change timing is different for different style players. One for slalom, one for jumping, and one for downhill. Lmk if you have any questions when making adjustments in development.

I see everyone asking for first person and I know this will be a huge task but if you are ever to do this a gyroscopic camera movement for the head would add an amazing touch. I know other games are using this and think it would add something to this experience that could not be achieve before this technology.

Also could be more tricks like location tap or hold grabs through rotation and butters also could you make flip Rotation on free motion to land more precise. Everything could just respond a little better.

Update after opening up everything.
There is a level of frustration that is unheard of in other games. There are certain medals that are flat out unobtainable. It’s just not possible to fly that high or that far to obtain these medals. Soooo frustrating. For that fact I have dropped down to three stars.
You want difficulty in a game, not impossibility. This is the first game in years I have paid money. I must say, this has the best feel and sound of any skiing game. Hands down. Really well done. That being said, a few suggestions: Suggestion #1 Having impossible challenges kind of ruins the game. At some point when you have an area you can’t even get to? A hint might be nice. #2 Not every bump on the ski slope is a huge jump. In real skiing, I can absorb a jump or bump with my legs. When I am trying to stay on course on one of your challenges - not every bump needs to be a 40’ send. I can absorb the bump and stay on course. Some of these challenges are ridiculous.

In the description of the game it says when I purchase the full version I’m supposed to unlock the twin-tip skis and the snowboard, but I haven’t. I think I’m the pictures of the game that the backpack is supposed to open the ski/snowboard selection screen but it doesn’t show up for me. This is either a bug or if it is not please tell me what I need to do to unlock them. If this is a huge bug it is a pretty significant one that locks a bunch o the games’s content. Again, if you fix this or if I’m doing anything wrong please let me know.

I have found out how to get the other items, but there should be a notification after you purchase the game that pops up from time to time if you haven’t unlocked the backpack yet that tell you to go back to the first mountain and search for the balloons. I have played the game since it’s launch on ios and I just found out recently that there are other things in the game besides skis. Please fix

This is a beautiful game and can be very fun. Unfortunately camera issues pervade and, often, ruin the experience. The camera rarely allows you to see ahead. I understand that the developers want to control the aesthetic, pace, and performance of the game but the camera can be downright game breaking at times. There are just too many times when you cannot see where you are going.

It is common for the camera angle to rotate suddenly and hide either your skier or the path in front of you so you literally are skiing blindly. This issue arises most often in the steep, difficult and fast areas where you need to see the most. As a result, the game’s difficulty is not so much skill as it is luck and having to memorize the entire mountain’s terrain because a small little bump or ledge here (that you probably cannot see because of the poor camera angles) will give you just enough air that you miss your gate or soar off a cliff. Even then, memorizing the turns and sequences isn’t enough because when you can’t see your skier, you lose your line easily.

I still enjoy this game but I find myself having no desire to try to collect ski passes beyond what is necessary to open the next area. I do not want to try a challenge 100 times in hopes of getting lucky. Because that is what many of the challenges amount to: pure blind (literally) luck.

The detail in this game is awesome. And the majority of the objectives feel challenging but doable. My favorite are the time trials where you stay between the flags. I’ve purchased two of the game packs so it obviously keeps me coming back, but the controls and camera view are insanely infuriating. If you have to keep trying something and resetting your position, it sometimes starts you with the camera pointing a completely different direction and you just keep having to reset your location because it starts you going off a cliff or going in the wrong direction or something.

So my least favorite thing is the camera view, which makes things so complicated. I find myself wishing that this was a third person console game. I love casually free styling down the mountain, and some of the challenges are very very fun and satisfying. But I do find myself more annoyed than satisfied these days.

So I really do love this game. It kept me hooked for an hour, and then I finished a mountain. You finish a mountain when you unlock all the ski lifts and go to the top. But the problem was, you have to pay to move to another mountain! Real money! And I totally understand, people do need to make money, and still, at least I can keep exploring one mountain. But I really wish that maybe even just one more mountain could be free. Otherwise, this game is THE BEST! I love it for millions of reasons, and I totally recommend it to anyone who is ready for some satisfying skiing! The animations are really nice, and just the way you ski down the mountain, it’s just, so, so, satisfying. Everything about this (but the pay part) is satisfying and yes, you should play. If the developers of this game open at least one other mountain for free, this will definitely get switched to five stars guaranteed.

The variety of turning controls makes for a realistic and fun skiing experience. However, I find it difficult to control speed on really steep terrain. Speed control turns are a fundamental part of skiing, and the game is missing an element of skill and strategy without that ability. In extreme terrain, you pretty much have to straight-line and hope you don’t fly off of, or into something. To deal with this, I’ve learned to use the downward slide hockey stop / brake function at the ends of my turns. This works. But feels and looks really unnatural because you are either in a high-speed GS turn or an all-out hockey stop. A suggestion to fix this would be to make the downward slide function a progressive stopping turn, so that the further down you slide, the more perpendicular your skis turn to the fall line and the faster you stop. Sliding down just a little would initiate a sliding turn that burns some speed off. You could still come to a complete stop by sliding all the way down. Changing this would make GMA the perfect skiing game!

The game itself is amazing, I enjoy it its fun and relaxing, incredibly detailed, polished etc., I mean you really will not waste money on this one and it gives you hours of fun. What’s more it also has perfect user interface which is a big plus. However, there are two things. The camera, get some time to use to it, and if possible add the option to chose it. The bigger problem I see is that there is a cap on speed of the skier. It sort of takes some fun out because at certain map location it would make sense to let you go faster, it would not ruin the game with too big jumps etc., cause there is already build in script for bad landing or landing with too big of a force, I suggest allowing at least the turn off the speed cap. Otherwise superb, thanks for this game I really enjoy it!

Mobile gaming has been in a drought for years now. We’ve missed the old classics like My singing monsters, Angry Birds, Clash of Clans, Small indie games that almost never had ads. Now we get washed up repetitive ideas shoved down our faces like ipad kids just trying to shove an ad down our throat every second that are not skippable. I’m talking about those games that you have like two options and you walk your guy through the good and bad side. They’re lazy, they’re cash grabs, and clearly not well made. This game is anything but that. I love this game and i bought the full version. No ads, very well made, no bugs, fun music, and fantastic visuals. This bridges beyond mobile gaming. 5 Stars. I hope this game inspires other companies to get off their corporate bums making copy and paste advertisement based games.

What a great game. The sounds, the balanced controls, the immersive terrain with humor sprinkled throughout. I tire of games easily but I keep coming back to this one. I used to snowboard so It’s great to be able to try things without hurting myself. The physics, graphics and sounds are all top notch.
I would like to suggest a few things….it would be cool to see the layout of real mountains. I’m not sure if the mountains in this game are real. I never got to Whistler, BC. with my friends. It would be nice to be able to see/feel how it was described to me in this game. Also, it would be nice to “buy” all the lift tickets if you wanted to so you don’t have to worry about collecting things or be forced to do things. Lastly, have a super tall mountain where it takes several minutes of just carving, hitting big and little jumps with no barriers to get in your way…like heli boarding on a huge mountain. Pure flow/zen mode. Awesome game! Nice work Devs!

I saw GrandMountainAdventure on the coming soon tab so I pre ordered it. Such a fun free riding ski and snowboard game. It gives you so much freedom in the game that other games with similar concepts do not. It doesn’t make you feel obligated to play and you can play on your terms and your time. However that being said I played it for almost a whole day even after I did everything I could on the first map (the free map). I am still playing on and off because it is so relaxing and stress relieving if you will. I would recommend this game to any one of any age group. I usually like more active action games however this is now one of my favorite games. I hope and pray that they do however make more free maps because 1 just isn’t enough. Download this game and you will not be let down. Also I do not usually leave reviews ever but I decided I wanted to because it was such a well thought out and designed gift. I am editing this to ask please make more maps or more things to do!!!

Played the first free mountain and immediately spent the $ for the full product. Great quick escape with true open world game play. Graphics are gorgeous, physics near perfect, very few bugs so far.

Would love to see more camera control ability and maybe an up/down compass as orientation can be tricky on a small screen. Still a 5 star game regardless. Looking forward to buying more content if it comes.

After some reviews, I have to add some edits. This game is well worth $5! People complaining should go back to their freemium ad laden garbage. The effort and work are clear and the devs are still improving it! Second, while it may seem simple, the graphics and physics of this game are complex. Test the free version on your device prior to paying! If it doesn’t work, don’t complain, move on to less demanding games and download this when you upgrade. Lastly, I enjoy this game even without a controller; maybe not for everyone but 👍for me.

The game has been amazing to play and has been a lot of fun. I saw you had mentioned that you attempted the reverse angle for gameplay and that it wasn’t what you guys wanted but I believe you should still give us the option and let us decide for ourselves because it can be a annoying with the reverse angel at times it’s hard to gage what is coming in front of me and it’s hard to maneuver to get to certain jumps or check points. If the angle was facing forward you could gage better exactly where you need to go. Additionally the game needs more mountains or at the minimum and update on new trails and challenges. I got through every mountain in the course of about 2 days playing off and on. I know this game is new and not eveything will be perfect but those are just my takes on what could be better. Over all I love them game I play it all the time I love the open world aspect and I would recommend to anyone who enjoys skiing.

5 star game. At first the camera style and angles can be hard to get used to. But you get used to it. It has me coming back to it again and again. I unlocked the first couple maps for free with using the snowboard. Decided to see how much it would cost to unlock full game. $5 bucks. Which includes a new snowboard and 2 sets of skis. Skis allow you to get to unreachable parts of the maps easier than with the board. You still have to unlock the other maps by finding ski passes. I like that. Old school style. Buy game. Grind away at the levels until you master it. I love the difficulty progression. Each map gets harder and more challenging but your skills will increase over time. Loads of challenges throughout each map. Play for free. Then if you want you can pay the money and continue to have fun. Enjoy!

Ok so I’d just like to start by asking everyone who beat everything in the first mountain in 5 minutes because it took me at least a week to finish it. anyways this is a gorgeous game that is definitely worth 6 dollars. For one all of the maps actually feel like different locations not just different mountains that could be right next to each other for all you know, and you can play the game as competitively or as lay’d back as you want. Sometimes it’s a little hard to get enough ski passes to move on to the next mountain but that’s kinda good because it forces you to explore the mountain a lot and get to know it. It may not have extremely realistic graphics and weekly updates but it has a lot of character and style. All in all good game definitely worth the 6 dollars but not for everyone so play for a bit before you purchase.

Putting this out there paying for the different mountains is definitely worth it! Not to mention it is a free range area but just if you wanna have quests u have the choice to do challenges to get ski passes! Irl I love skiing and the general aesthetic design is 10/10 it really covers the movement of how skiing actually works with the left right motion. The big range of land birds that follow you and wild life is something I love. I’ve been skiing in the Alaskan mountains a few times and the steep drops and trees definitely shows it’s realistic! Also thank you to the creators of this game I have seen you answer other reviews and it shows you’re passionate and you care about the opinions of players. That really got me I love y’all so much if I could give you more stars you bet I would. Fabulous work you guys have done here! Also the sunsets in the game ughhh yessir you didn’t have to do that but you did! I’m a huge bird person so I find it cute birds follow you.
Seriously google job on this game it is really a work of art💕😤❤️

I haven’t played for too long, but I’ve already fallen in love with this game. It is exactly what I wanted from a ski game, but there is only one issue that’s taking me from the immersion. There’s no crash physics with other skiers/ boarders, or many other objects in general besides the cliff face, not sayin this to be a sadist though. It just does not make much sense if I make a mistake and collide with a skier only for them to be standing In place while I’m moving. Not to mention I find myself flying into wooden objects on the mountain at full speed only to brush it off like it was a feather. Anyways, I’m sure many people have probably pointed out something like this, I just wanted to be another witness to it. Otherwise, great game overall and the graphics are great, thanks for not littering it with ads, that’s seriously a breathe of fresh air on this mistake for an AppStore.

I struggle to find phone games that hold my attention. This one does not face that challenge and I did not hesitate to pay for the full version after a short test period. The controls are smooth and the graphics are simple and clean. There are no advertisements to disturb you and I have experienced lagging one time. The point of view provides a challenge because it limits the planning of a trick-line since you have very limited foresight. I would prefer a regular third person point of view. This game is very well made and extensively detailed between the angry bears that will attack you and the various equipment options. One thing I would recommend to create more depth in the game is non-player character side quests. Interaction with NPC’s is limited to a passing quote but it could be extended to drastically increase the scope of the game with social competitions/side quests.

Didn't play a lot just released for maybe 30min. So take my review with a grain of salt. It might not be correct, maybe I missed it, or it will get improve later.
Start off with things I love. Sound effects are pretty satisfying. Music is good. Really like the simplistic art style, and the open world exploration. I like how I need to collect ski passes to unlock more areas. It's a very unique skiing game from any I played before. I really like the trails I leave behind when I ski. The rewind setting is a nice touch for when I failed a jump or hit a wall. Control is simple, physics is good.
Now the part I feel like can improve on. Personally I feel like the camera angle makes the skiing experience less enjoyable because it's backward. I wish it's the other way, or have a setting to do so. Bird eye view kind of remove the satisfaction of landing a jump because I don't have the sense of height. In addition, I feel like there's not enough tricks for us to do. It would be nice to be able to ski backward or do flips. (Also iPhone selfie camera blocks some of the words in settings)
Overall it's a solid game I would invest time in. But I think it can be improved on. That's some of my feedback after some gameplay hope it will help.

This game is really good! I preordered it several months in advance and they still got it out on the day they had projected. The game is an incredible skiing game! In the game you can just ski practically however and wherever you want, however if you want to do races or challenges it super easy too! The game has great definition and incredible game play! It’s very smooth and thrilling! I would definitely recommend this game as a must have if you enjoy fun unique games that aren’t just slapped together! That being said while the game is free you can’t unlock other mountains, there is only one mountain that comes with the free account. I think to find a good balance between making it more fun for the consumer and still getting profit for the developer, would be to have ways of unlocking the mountains but not making it fast and easy, and then for the impatient ones, which are most of us would be to buy the whole game. I would pay up to $7.00 for all the mountains. You guys definitely need to start developing more games!

I really like this game. And I like the developers’ business model even better. It’s been a long time since I played a game that started with a version you could just play WITH NO ADS, and then have the option to pay for and download the full version. BRAVO developers for this. The graphics are great, and gameplay is too. It’s a lot to put on a phone sized screen, so sometimes camera angles and the view can be less than perfect, but you’re playing on a phone after all and I really enjoy playing. It has a great balance of a mission based as well as a sandbox game. It’s very challenging, and yet you can take a break and just have fun with it. Hats off for, saying it again, not making me watch ad after ad between levels just so you can take advantage of your fan base. Thank you devs for a great game and model. Even if I don’t play this game forever I was happy to support the way you’re doing business.

I’m a lover of snowboarding/skiing and love playing games on them (steep sac Shaun white etc.) so when I saw this game in pre order I immediately did. This game has been out for a day and it’s my favorite already. I could play this for hours. Even though it’s a small map there is so much to explore and discover. I got it in dec and was excited to see it got downloaded in my notifications. I love this game and so will you.👍🤗

The review above is the one I just left but after looking through other reviews I noticed they said the full game cost money; so I go check (I hadn’t had any problems and thought I got the full game because I pre ordered) as it turns out even if you pre ordered it still costs money. The game is still fun but FALSE ADVERTISING I will keep the game and consider getting the full version. Until then bye🤗

Hi... for the third time I just got a dev response and he made me realize something, I. WAS. DUMB. Of course the full game isn’t free; I completely forgot about MONEY. How are the devs supposed to make more games/update current games I will now revert my rating to a five star.

I haven’t bought the other mountains (yet?), but the first mountain is so fun. I feel like I’m always finding something new, and am really enjoying exploring and completing trials. I have just one problem - on the far left of the map, there’s a trial called “The Descent” that is marked as intermediate difficulty. I completed most of the other intermediate trials without much trouble, but I’ve tried probably 200 times (not an exaggeration!) and haven’t been able to do it. Developers, if you plan on updating the game again, I would really suggest making that advanced or expert or whatever the next difficulty level is.

Apart from that one tiny issue though, it’s a really great game. I wish there were more games like this out there, and I will definitely consider buying all the mountains.

I grew up in the mountains skiing, boarding, racing and eventually found my passion in competitive free skiing. After several years of getting my career in order and becoming a dad the lack of time in the mountains meant I could no longer be competitive, but that doesn’t men I will ever stop loving it. Now this game lets it continue at work and home. The graphics and snow effects, controls (once you get the hang of it) and scale of this game are as close as you’ll get to being on snow in an office chair. The variety of challenges and terrain are spectacular. There are times on timed GS courses or when landing a cliff just right that your muscle memory kicks in and you literally feel it as if you were there. Of course this won’t apply if you have never been on a board/s, but that is only one tiny reason you would not enjoy this game as much as I have. I have completed every challenge and double diamond all the way through the 2021 expansion so I hope this game goes viral and allows the developers to continue expanding it for many years to come. For now it’s all Zen mode! No complaints there!

I enjoy this game very much even though I don’t spend a lot of time on it. It has a very fun and simple art style that I like a lot. The challenges and trail are very unique and different then other skiing games that I have played, which only makes the game more interesting. The controls are simple and easy to learn, but I do wish there was a separate brake button. I find myself constantly struggling to brake in a challenge or trail. I would suggest putting more camera views to play the game in. The character is small compared to everyone else which makes it very difficult to see. This is especially true when do tricks and railing trees. The last thing that I would like to be added are more free and unlocked levels. This would allow more diversity and areas to explore for people who have just gotten the game.

I am honestly surprised this game isn't on Apple Arcade. It is the highest quality game I have ever played. It's also so cheap for the full game, only $5! It runs extremely smooth on full graphics with my depressing IPhone 6, and if you don't look hard enough it honestly seems like real life to me. The sound effects and music are amazing, and it is so relaxing! The little details like the birds following you, animal noises, a bit of wind, the ski tracks, accidentally whacking people and animals with your pole, going mach two into a small child, the music synching with challenges... It's.. Hold on I'm running out of synonyms... Astonishing. Thank you guys for this amazing game. Also, people seem to have problems with the camera angle but I prefer it for me. I have a suggestion, too. What if you could complete quests from the NPCs? Like transporting medical supplies to a camp or something. All in all, a well deserved 10/10. Now I'm going to go back to playing this...

Loving the game so far. only complaint i have is the limited fpv, maybe allow for more of a zoom in so the third person back camera looks a bit better. or just add a full first person view (reason i say maybe more zoom is because I know it’d be difficult to add a proper first person view) Second not really complaint but more a suggestion, add a way to disable automatic switch skiing on the twin tips like a button at the top or something (if you go slow enough uphill and don’t touch a button for a second it makes you go backwards and going forwards again is tricky and you can lose a lot of height if you are climbing a peak with no lift) this game is pretty awesome just those 2 things I’d like to see some change for. thank you!
