Grow with Jane Reviews

The general idea of what GrowwithJane should be able to do is great. If the few bugs that I’ve run into can be fixed GrowwithJane would be a time and lifesaver. Unfortunately, the support team has not gotten back to me on the Customer Support messaging, so I’m not sure if I will upgrade from the monthly to the annual. I hope they do though, because I spent several hours putting in all my plants info and lineage.
Update: I am not able to log into the community support area because I sign in with My Apple ID instead of a password. When I go to set my password, it says that I’ve been sent an email, but I have not received any emails for the reset or any of the Customer Support issues that I have sent via GrowwithJane . I have tried to change my email address from the privet relay to my person one but am unable to do so. I really want to use GrowwithJane, but it’s taking up so much time

I like all that GrowwithJane has to offer, but as a person that has done development before, I’m sad with just a few aspects of execution. The largest one is that the chat function isn’t built in. GrowwithJane essentially opens a browser then when you click the back button you get logged out. Sadly the Google login function doesn’t work so you have to type in all of your information. I’ve accidentally clicked the back button 3 times… I’m over it and I’m a paid customer. I guess I don’t understand why this wouldn’t be executed in app.

Started crashing today when trying to see last week’s entries. Hoped there was an update but found none.

Will update the review once its back to working as it should.

Do not judge GrowwithJane by this review, its great, I’m just trying to get some attention to the matter, will also hit support. Any of you having this issue join in so it can be fixed promptly.

I’m new to using GrowwithJane . I like it but I am still exploring. One big issue for me so far is the fact I can’t input decimals when adding nutrient mixes. I can’t put “0.5 tsp”. I can only put digits. After saving the log, if I put “1”, it’ll record it as 1.0. Then I can sloppily try to change the number after the decimal. But I can’t even erase the number before the decimal because I can’t click to select where I want to type. This is a pretty bad problem for me and makes me lose hope for the rest of the features of GrowwithJane. I hope this is fixed soon, because it is enough of an issue to make me not use GrowwithJane .

Different strains require different environments and yours doesn’t support the type of strain i’m growing. My seeds are rare and VERY expensive so i’m a little upset that your app doesn’t guide me through the growing process for my specific strains ... and there are TONS of strains out there that all require certain standards for optimal growth during each stage. I would also like to no note that as a new grower GrowwithJane could have helped me

Every time I try to setup a new plant it’ll let me put in all its info but I can for the life of me get them to say what strain it is. I’ll go into the edit tree setting set the strain to what I want and save it but every time it only updates the little cards underneath the larger name. So all my plants say unknown strain but when I go into the actual plant tab the strains right there. Please fix this or tell me what I’m doing wrong.

Does a good job and I’m technically challenged so it’s probably more of my issue than GrowwithJane but it’s a little confusing till you figure out the nuances of environment and tree and how to add new trees. Or it was for me anyway.
(follow up after several months of using) GrowwithJane has some glitches that appear from time to time which requires shutting down the phone and re-starting. Sometimes shadow of buttons remains on screen and I’ve never been able to take a photo with GrowwithJane only with the phone and download it to GrowwithJane . Overall it does a nice job.

A couple small clunky interface issues like no ‘done’ button when typing in certain fields. Would be nice to be able to rename plants. Also would be great to share with google calendar or at least allow guest login et al so my friend/plant sitter can see all my tasks and notes for when I’m out of town. Free version is great but going to pay in hopes for small improvements....

So like I said GrowwithJane is awesome, really helps me keep things organized and on track BUT HERES THE THING... you have germination, vegetive, and flowering but no seedling option which I thought was strange considering that’s like the most important stage for the little ones. So if you can find a way or something of the sort that way I have all the stages available that would be awesome, again cool app, keep up the good work

This apps great. Few minor annoyances with the forum side of GrowwithJane , such as being logged out every time you switch between your grow log and the forum, but honestly, it’s just a minor annoyance. You just have to log back in and find where ever you left off in the forum’s threads again.

Other than that, I’ve been using it for about a month or so. Using the grow log is pretty intuitive and had a lot of great features and is organized pretty well. The community forum side seems to be somewhat active and has a lot of great topics that are covered and it seems very welcoming if you have questions you can’t find answers to.

And you can also post your grow logs and get feedback from other people, check out other people’s grow logs, and it is all really organized. If the grower chooses to include it, the grow logs have all the information about a grow, such as what lights they are using, watts, the type of grow medium, you can even go as detailed as to include your nutrient regime and even the amount of each individual nutrient.

GrowwithJane is pretty well thought out, looks pretty good and is pretty intuitive and it seems to be one of the more ideal apps like this.

I downloaded this a while ago because I knew I would need it in the future… I just opened it and perused the interface, and absolutely love its format! I’ll be back to write more later after I actually start using it! But the interface is smooth and seamless exactly what you’d expect to go along with an Apple product! It’s a beautiful experience so far!

Once you learn to navigate GrowwithJane it's fantastic. It enables you to track all aspects of your grow. It also gives charting abilities so you can monitor any problems you may have. I do my log-ins AM and PM, that way I can see any significant fluctuations that might arise. I can't live without GrowwithJane now!! A must have for any level grower..

I see GrowwithJane has been around for a long time. Upon researching they stay up to date and are still a very active group of programmers behind this. I hopped onto this application one year ago and it had a few things. I can’t quite remember that I didn’t like like the editing of the plants if you do something wrong. Or make a mistake. Within a few months after mentioning it was added. To have the ability to really be heard by the programmers and to be able to shape the growing app into what we need together is what made me a lover. I went ahead and payed the very affordable yearly fee to go with unlimited rooms and plant numbers. Now we use it to help track commercially as well. Just too good! The owner and the office ladies would love if I could export information to them in a easier format. Well turns out a couple of us asked for that as well and they’re currently working on it. These guys just don’t stop. Much love!

Wish there was a way to change the week number for plants that are added during the middle of vegetative or flowering. For example instead of Week 1 Flowering, I would like to change it to Week 8 Flowering.

Update: Just change the date to the actual date the vegetative or flowering started.

GrowwithJane is exactly what I’m looking for.

GrowwithJane does all you could need it to do. At first some things aren’t obvious, like click and hold for some menus, or tapping on a strain gives you strain info.. but once you get used to it, it’s amazing. Timed reoccurring events are a lifesaver if certain processes are out of sync between plants.. so many good things to say.. if you are debating, just do it.

YES. YES YES YES Haha! Every single problem I had with GrowwithJane has been ironed out, fixes have been made, you can download photos you uploaded, it’s been adjusted for larger phones like iPhone X etc, swiping between photos is better, like swiping down to close them out now, so many bugs gone. It’s beautiful, I love it, I love the work the team has dedicated to putting into this great app!

Extremely user-friendly with tons of customization for advanced growers that like to keep track of things like nutrient mixes & waterings. My only suggestions would be to add a "notes" page & to allow video uploads, other than that, GrowwithJane has everything you'd need a grow journal to do & more. Would 100% recommend to growers of any & every skill level!

I use GrowwithJane to document and journal my grow. I am a heavy photo uploader posting pictures of my controllers/monitors, meters when making nutrient solutions or documenting test levels and thermometers inside and outside of my grow area on a regular basis to document environmental conditions. I also upload multiple angles of each of my plants, bad removed leaves on a regular basis to journal growth and to diagnose problems. The only features I wish GrowwithJane had was to be able to edit photo captions and view photos in landscape orientation.

Great app so far. Super easy to download, signup, explore & add your plants. Only thing that I’d add that I’ve noticed so far is the ability to slide your day back or go to a certain date that is in the past to add something. This may be an option already; if it is I’ll come edit this.

Have had all 15 min though and have successfully explored some other grows through the explorer page, added my plants, setup the light cycle, environment, etc. yea it’s quick and easy. Lazy if you don’t do this. Don’t even need a pen and paper.

12 Plant Limit is crazy. I grow 14 and well shouldn’t be growing that much! So I understand the cap! The price for these kind of apps is monopolized so in comparison to its “competitors” its cheap! Not that any can compare. Of course there are a few things I would like to change. Maybe look into an option of customization with premium subscription. You could allow for changing of order in the Plant Log. You could change colors.

Something else. When filtering and looking at all your Trees. I wish if you have multiple Environments for example Indoor/Outdoor. When your looking at your trees. I wish their was a way to have the two environments separated on said page.

Also maybe adding a tab for “non tomato” plants for premium subscriptions. I’d love to chat look I was going to design and creat one myself but instead I’d love to get an idea e-mail line. I do not want anything in return. Just a functioning app at its best :)

Also have you thought about making a secondary app or add on for light measurement? I can help.

GrowwithJane journal has made my growing experience very helpful. I’m a new grower on my 3rd run & GrowwithJane has helped me tremendously in term of keeping records, pictures, growth of the plant & many more. One in particular that was very helpful was the ppm testing & I was able to go back to see how much nutes they took in & adjust from there if need be. If you don’t like writing in a journal… GrowwithJane is for you.
