Untrue marketing strategy in the dev replies

Like others have said, Rollo has been great and works normally. However, it boggles my mind on why anyone would want to use Rollo over simply using the USPS, UPS, or Fedex apps. I get the whole consolidation thing and it’s a good argument - until you come to the purchase page and realize you have to load your account with prepaid purchase points. Their response to this was that any company NOT doing this is selling your data to recuperate fees. This is simply not true. USPS is not allowed to do this by law. UPS and Fedex privacy and data handling policies also explicitly state that they do not sell customer data or share it with any entity that would profit from it in any way. This idea is great, but loading your account with a predetermined amount is clearly just a money gimmick as a way to squeeze some extra cash out of individuals and businesses and their lying coverup is even worse. If I was Fedex, UPS, or USPS I would sue the boots off this company for defamation. If you’re going to make those claims, back them up with sources. Go ahead, put them on your website. If you don’t have any sources (you don’t) then stop pretending you’re in the “know” with secret insider information when in reality this is just one way you profit off of a predatory business model.

Sad because I was really hoping to see a small business disrupting the big 3 shipping companies but oh well. Capitalism doesn’t create good guys now does it?

Zero Stars

Product never works for more than a day (wireless). Fails to find printer, fails to recognize networks, and has begun to require 2-3 hours each day to get it functional. Based on other reviews, it seems I may have gotten a faulty unit, but I have been asking for replacement for 6 months and they just keep telling me to reset it and put it closer to the WiFi (it’s within 6 inches of the router which always seems to surprise them)

DO NOT BUY

Don’t use this company. Had them for two years and they banned my account for no reason and kept the money. They are scammers don’t waste your time. Update: They respond and claim people have violated policies but can’t explain which policies are violated, I’ve emailed them already and never received a response. Also check out the other customers on Reddit and on Apple store reviews that have had the same issue, no violations just banned accounts and stolen money. This is also why they’ve turned off their google reviews because all the recent ones were horrible. Don’t be duped, stay away from this app! Save your money and your business.

Absolute Trash

Avoid this printer and app at all costs. Constantly goes offline (will be blue but still won’t print or stay connected to wifi) pairing it with Bluetooth is not easy. This printer is CONSTANTLY going offline. I have to turn it off and turn it back on again. And sometimes I have to do this 3-4 times to get it to go back online. It’s about a year and half old and it sounds like it’s going to burst into flames every time it prints a label now. this app support is lame and not helpful once they respond to you. There’s MUCH better printers out there for what you pay for this - don’t waste your money or time.

App is frustratingly buggy

Started off issue free, but a few months ago the printer stopped printing from Rollo . Called tech support and their solution? Reconnect the printer. For. Every. Label. Irritating but we only have 1 selling channel that NEEDS Rollo , so we just printed from the web pages for the others. As of yesterday, Rollo is now refusing to even pull the orders from the selling channel it claims it’s connected to. I can see my orders on the selling channel’s website, but Rollo says it’s connected and I have no orders. For as expensive as this printer is, I’ve had a lot fewer issues with the $30 Brother it replaced.

So frustrating!!

This printer and app are so frustrating to use! If you manage to successfully connect your this app printer to your Wi-Fi with Rollo, then you've accomplished quite a feat. I’ve never had a more difficult time trying to get my printer hooked up to my Wi-Fi than I’ve had with this this app app and printer! Every single time I manage to get to the setup where I then put my Wi-Fi password in, it always tells me I have an invalid password when I know for a fact the password is correct. this app… for how expensive this printer was, you guys really need to get it together and fix this problem!

So unhappy

I’ve been using this company since 2021 and I’ve had nothing but issues for the last year. The printer randomly stops connecting to WiFi, Rollo and website randomly stops recognizing my log in information and I’ll have to spend an hour resetting my password, and reaching out to support is pretty much useless. You’re better off looking for a different service.

Consistently fails

Every 4 weeks or less it fails. Yes, this app, we do speak every few weeks and your customer service helps me resolve it after 30+ minutes either via chat or phone. Thanks for that, however, it is very frustrating that it consistently fails over and over again. It’s a great device and printer when it works, but still only gets 1 star due to the fact it fails so often.

Don't buy.

I originally left a 1 star review, and after receiving a response where they requested I reach out to customer service for help, I maintain my 1 star review.

I did reach out to customer service and received zero help nor was the issue resolved. They failed to find the "root cause" as they like to call it. I lost no less than 2 business days trying to troubleshoot this device. It is faulty, jenky, and not worth the $300 I spent.

Buy a different label printer from a different company.

Great when it actually works… which is not often

Rollo , printer, and whole configuration is so frustrating! Constantly disconnecting, label presets get deleted, label sizes change on their own, and completely buggy app. I wish I bought a different printer. I am constantly having to disconnect, reconnect, setup printer. It’s super annoying. Also there’s no option to print consecutively. You have to print each label one by one. Not very user centric.

Like Rollo, Frustrating App

For the love of all things holy, please make it so I don’t have to login and multifactor authenticate EVERY SINGLE TIME I need to get in. Save my password or use facial recognition because wow that is annoying. Outside of that, Rollo is quite useful and convenient.

Prices are identical to stamps but I like this app’s interface better.

Don’t switch apps

Every app on my phone works the same, you can change apps and come back to continue right where you left off. Except this app. If you switch intentionally or by accident you have to start over.

No option to ship multiple packages of same or differing weights. Very unfortunate, because I regularly ship multiple packages to the same address. What I waste of time.

Not sure if it’s possible but an ups pick up request option would be amazing.

Almost perfect

That app itself works perfectly with my this app printer. My only complaint is a dealbreaker though. You have to have a balance of funds saved in order to ship. Most of the competitors have you pay for shipping with each transaction. I don’t like to have $50 sitting in a this app account.

More to do

I love Rollo … when it works. When it’s up and running I am able to print with ease. When it’s not, I get signed out every time I exit Rollo and get disconnected from my WiFi and printer. Some work to do… but there’s hope?

Mobil App

I would give the this app a 5 star because I can use it from my desktop, laptop and iPad. I can’t use the Mobil app because it won’t allow me to to use or see any features but “Welcome Back…Contact this app Support”. Then when I push that feature I can chat with support. I want to utilize the features that are additional to this app support on my IPhone but there are no addition options to select. Therefore the this app app doesn’t work on my iPhone.

Great minus USPS

For shipping with UPS, this app is amazing and absolutely speeds up our entire process. Until you have to ship with USPS (ie - P.O. Boxes). We have repeatedly reported this glitch (which came to a head right around holiday sales season 2023) and it still hasn’t been fixed. They’ve said they are aware of it… it’s nearly April now and USPS labels still won’t probably print. We are actively paying more for some shipments for the convenience of this app b/c not using it disrupts our workflow so much, but it’s ridiculous we can’t print a USPS label thru it. Fix this this app.

Good app and great printer. Reccomend web version though, but Rollo is still good!

Beautiful and efficient

I switched from Dymo to this app only because my dymo stopped working and I needed wireless printing capabilities. I got WAY more than that with this app. The software is so clean and easy to use and the pricing for shipping is great too. The wireless printing works perfectly. Highly recommend!

Rollo review

this app is a very good shipping service provider, I have saved so much money using them to ship goods for my small business, having them around has been such a help to me & they’ve never given me any problems.

They do what they say they’re going to do, in a world where it’s hard to find people & business that you can rely on to pull through on what they say, it’s nice to have someone like this app to really rely on.

It was frustrating to start. Couldn’t get to to work on iPhone. Finally got a response. If you have an issue, it’s your font size. After finally being able to login, it was easy setup and worked perfectly.
