SwipeMix・Collage for Instagram Reviews

A photographer friend of mine stumbled on SwipeMixCollage and recommended it to me. It offers novel, eye-catching ways to present series of photos on Instagram. I appreciate that the subscription isn’t the only option for upgrading SwipeMixCollage — I’m happy to pay a little more up front for the sets of templates that I like the most, and then I don’t have one more recurring charge to keep track of.

Some of the templates have an aspect ratio that causes Instagram to cut the images off slightly if you choose to make normal posts out of them. SwipeMixCollage also exports scrolling videos, and these templates work well for making those to use in stories and reels, but I’d appreciate the option to select 1:1 versions of those templates, too.

I will give SwipeMixCollage a million stars the second they update the dang thing to stop CRASHING. It’s an awesome app, so brilliant, so easy. Such cool results, and my photographer actually recommended it to me. But. But but but. The iOS version of SwipeMixCollage crashes constantly. Glitches out when trying to choose photos. Won’t save updates if SwipeMixCollage closes unexpectedly so I’ve started over on a collage of wedding photos no less than 10 times. I’m so frustrated and it’s such a SHAME because it would be amazing if it were dependable. Would also love if it was an option to crop photos in SwipeMixCollage …. But I’ll take what I can get! Please SwipeMix! Some updates!!!

SwipeMixCollage crashed as soon as I uploaded pictures — tried 3 more times as an act of good faith but I got kicked back to my home page me every single time. Also, every step of the process requires a payment, I really dislike apps like that — maybe you should also consider charging for “opening SwipeMixCollage ” in your next update.

Fix your app before having the audacity to offer a premium paid options. Also, an onboarding or a tutorial could help: you leave the user learn the ropes by trial and error — not the best user experience in my opinion.

Happy to change my review if you address the aforementioned issues.

I absolutely love SwipeMixCollage, even bought extra features which I never do on apps. However it’s been so glitchy lately. It won’t let me save drafts sometimes as well as will not let me readjust my images half the time. Every time I try to adjust the crop it will just show black for the entire rest of the picture that did not fit in the original crop. Pleeeeeeaaaase fix this because I absolutely love the concept.

Kinda annoying how you can’t delete projects. And some projects you can’t go back to edit. I don’t know where some of them go. Also when you are sizing pictures, it’s limiting. Please work on that. If you want to size the picture and then move the frame, you should be able to just press the black negative space and not be attached to your picture sizing. Also your move to bottom and top buttons don’t work all the time. There needs to be a lot improvements with maneuverability with SwipeMixCollage.

The idea is fabulous, making collages for instagram is exactly what I got this for.

However, I wish there was an undo button, wish you could crop and editing images would be a nice touch.

My biggest issue is I just worked on an image for about an hour or so, clicked back on accident and now it’s all gone. I can’t find my project I was just working on :/

I’ve been trying to creat a carousel for the last few hours. Purchased one of the template packs. Despite starting multiple “projects” and clicking “Save” nothing shows up. SwipeMixCollage glitches out and freezes constantly. Restarted my phone… it’s definitely SwipeMixCollage . Super bummed - for as high of ratings as it as, I expected something that at least worked? But this has been an utter waste of time and I still have not a single project to show for it.

I love SwipeMixCollage and what it allows you to do! My only complaint is there is no way to get to my previous works. If I’m working on something it may go away and I can’t get back to it. Also when you press the plug to add new projects there’s no way to return to that list of projects. Other than that SwipeMixCollage is amazing!

Please update with many more templates! I really like the Border Templates, but there are only a handful. If you're trying to post on IG regularly, you will go through all of these templates in a week or two and then SwipeMixCollage is useless. Which is a bummer, because this is by far the best app of its kind, and so easy to use. Please update with more Border templates!!

I love the templates and film frames. But SwipeMixCollage keeps crashing after I click Preview > Image Set. Has done this about 7 times and I had to start all over. Very frustrating.

Would also love to be able to tweak the layout & number of images in the templates - so far that doesn’t seem possible.

Hey, I switched phones yesterday and when I opened SwipeMixCollage I noticed that all my in app purchases were gone? This didn’t happen with any other app as my iCloud switched over seamlessly. I hope this can be resolved. Thank you ✨

This is exactly the type of app I was searching for to create panoramic-style posts of my Instagram feed. The templates are reasonable priced and look fantastic; I even subscribed to the annual subscription.

When I went to load my first multi-frame post, I realized the aspect ratio is 4:5 for every single template. You can create your own with a 1:1 (square of IG) but lose the templates and unique style they bring. I have found no way to resize the templates, thus the 1* rating.

spent like 3 hours trying to make a carousel. it takes too long to try and adjust the photos. and if you accidentally click the back button, you lose all your work. when i finally went to post on IG, some of the borders cut off cause some white lines along the edges…..completely messing up the vibe of the pictures. completely wasted my time messing around with SwipeMixCollage.

i dont have the option to change the bg color or any color on the templates which is beyond inconvenient

the templates are not SQUARE and theres no option to change that so i cant fully use the templates on my page without have a black border around it. no thank u. i have to save my project then crop it (losing some of the template) :)

I don’t know if it’s just my phone, but getting the images to size in order to fit the template took WAY to long. It would be nice if there was a “snap” feature like in Ps so that sizing and positioning of photos would be quicker. I can’t see myself using SwipeMixCollage unless somehow I do these functions in less time.

If I can make it to the finished product, I find SwipeMix to be a handy app that lays out photography very nicely. The problem is, most of the time it’s stalling out, crashing or, as I’m currently experiencing, won’t open at all. I have paid for certain layouts and if I can’t use them, will I get my money back?

App is incredible but it crashes so much and at times impossible to even open SwipeMixCollage and that’s why I’m literally writing this specific review a bit frustrating!

I love SwipeMixCollage but for some reason when I export the photo quality drop down badly. I check if it’s my photos but it’s not the photo look crisp when I’m arrange everything but as soon as I export I check the photos and the are fuzzy and blurry. 😡

I love the idea of SwipeMixCollage ... so much so that I payed 10 bucks to unlock all the features, however scrolling to find photos to add to a set is un-optimized and annoying. Often times I’ll be selecting a photo after spending 5 mins scrolling & looking for it, only to have SwipeMixCollage select an entirely different picture over and over again. Requiring me to restart SwipeMixCollage & start from scratch 😩 Please fix this!!!

Half the time I can’t even get it to open. I have a subscription and it’s so unreliable when I wanna create content cuz SwipeMixCollage won’t open. Even though I sent an email for support, I have never heard anything back. When I can use SwipeMixCollage though, it’s functional. But I wish u could resize photos. Maybe there is a function there for that but I didn’t figure it out. Long story short, SwipeMixCollage works when it wants to work. It’s definitely not on my schedule. And that blows.

Started using SwipeMixCollage a year or so ago… love it… works great! Only problem is that when I put photos into a template if I click on the photo I want to put into the template it never puts that photo… it puts a different photo instead and it’s frustrating trying to get the right photo into the template… 😢 I have to click a completely different photo and hope it selects the one I wanted… 😵‍💫 been a bug for me for quite some time… needs to be fixed 😅
