As someone who might work on three or four different projects a day that are all billed separately, the service is a cornerstone of my time tracking and invoicing processes. I’ve used Paymo for years and typically depended on the desktop client or widget because the earlier app was very lackluster.
Paymo’s latest updates to PaymoProjectManagement brings a more modern appearance and it seems very stable on my iPhone and iPad.
I wish I could handle invoicing from PaymoProjectManagement as well. Then I could just avoid the website entirely, but this is a solid start and worth checking out — even if you weren’t impressed with early versions of PaymoProjectManagement .

Paymo is an underrated service overall, but previously their mobile app left something to be desired, requiring most use to be relegated to desktop. However, with this new massive update, most of the desktop functionality is now available through app allowing professionals like me to work and manage projects on the go in addition to using it to track time as I had been before. If you’ve previously disliked the mobile app, I’d recommend trying it again!

I have used Paymo since it’s beta days and PaymoProjectManagement has it all for project management, time tracking and invoicing! I love the ability to use PaymoProjectManagement or desktop version seamlessly. Allows me to track hours on specific projects— and tasks within each project, assign files, comments, schedule—it’s awesome! And it makes it easy to collaborate with a team, staying connected on project assignments or updates. I absolutely love the accounting section, allowing easy invoicing, reports, expense tracking etc.

I’m a freelancer out on my own and tried a number of project management tools for keeping track of time, milestones, and billing. I went through free plans of Freecamp, Asana, Click Up, and a few others.
Paymo ended up being my favorite. It has all the features I need and a clean and easy-to-use UI so I can actually get things done without getting lost in the depths of the program.

I was very happy when Paymo majorly upgraded their app. I use the desktop version to manage all my todos, I would be completely disorganized without it. And now PaymoProjectManagement has great features to add tasks, track time, and much more. After trying many different time management apps, this has proven to be the best one for me! I can organize my todos, track my time, and create an invoice to bill clients. Thank you Paymo!

I love the new functionality of PaymoProjectManagement . It will make life much easier except for a bug. When creating a task, it asks to designate a billing type but the button won’t activate. So sadly I can’t create tasks until the bug is fixed. I’ve reinstalled, I’ve restarted my phone and still no luck.

Why did you change PaymoProjectManagement? I was at least able to use the last version. The Latest update (jan 2021) made PaymoProjectManagement unusable for me. I was once able to tap on the daily timeline to add an entry where I wanted and easily scroll through a logical selection of clue and projects with the old app. PaymoProjectManagement defaults to the current hour and makes you sort through every single client and project for each entry. I am deleting PaymoProjectManagement and will just have to live with logging time in the web version.

This is a huge improvement over the previous app iteration (which was awful) but it still feels kind of useless. Now I can make tasks and add time from my phone but I (like most people who use the service) work on their computer. The web app is still significantly more robust and easier to navigate. So I’m having a hard time coming up with a scenario in which I would use PaymoProjectManagement over the website 🤷🏻♂️

Paymo has made it possible for me to be organized with my time and my billing. But sometimes I forget to update something and I have to go back to my computer. This is easy to use and I always have my detailed info with me.

New user but so far PaymoProjectManagement seems to work very well compared to other PM/time tracking systems I’ve looked at! It’s an actual app but just a buggy mobile version of the website. One complaint- there should be a notifications area in PaymoProjectManagement to see your task assignments and comments and reply to them from mobile app.

Not only is the customer service top notch, it is the best combination of time tracking and invoicing for the price you pay. Great interface and easy-to-find options for customization.
I’d definitely recommend their free trial to check it out for yourself!

I’ve used for years two separate apps to track time and manage projects. Seamlessly both are here. Simple, low noise, just what’s needed - iOS and web. Structure of product and task is smart. A few minor UX/UI glitches, but not a dealbreaker. It works, and works well. Thanks

Not sure why all the bad reviews with this new version, honestly, this update is more cohesive with the desktop version which I love. The time entries and a lot easier now that they aren’t automatically defaulted to the timer. Thanks!

This update is light years ahead of Paymo’s previous app and adapts the desktop experience wonderfully. I’d gotten used to not being able to do much with the old app, now I really can access it on the go. Great stuff.
