This synth is unique and has potential. The free sounds are great but after trying to make an IAP for more sounds I was surprised to find that they produced no sound and using restore purchases did not work. I will change my rating once they get this figured out as I really want to like this one of a kind synthesizer!
Update: The developer has fixed everything that I complained about and I can now give WorldPianoDrumMachine a full 5 stars in fact I would give it 10 if I could WorldPianoDrumMachine is that good. All I can say is what are you waiting for download it and buy the IAP’s you won’t regret it!!!!

WOW. I saw WorldPianoDrumMachine featured in use by musician Ara Topouzian. This is a really accessible system to learn and play a really broad range of microtonal scales. The rhythms and voices built in sound really fantastic. Seeing these scales visualized on a keyboard with the downtuned notes immediately helps understand them.

A couple of things I’d really love: a quick switch to turn on/off the rhythm and drones all at once. And (this may be more iOS than WorldPianoDrumMachine ) a way to avoid the iOS home bar that makes you swipe out of the apps (easy to accidentally close WorldPianoDrumMachine when you’re using the keyboard).

One half star less for not being auv3 yet. I understand that the devs are limited in their resources and am happy they’ve been able to put WorldPianoDrumMachine together. It does have a lot of potential.

They fixed a bug so I should hold to my promise and increase the stars. A lot of value right from the start, lots of bugs fixed or ideologically improved to make for a better overall experience.

Since a half star is not a whole star, I’ll just round up. Highly anticipating auv3 support :)

The developer purports to have a wide range of world instruments. You have to buy a specific “pack” to get the instruments or a certain area or region. HOWEVER….. the instruments you get are never listed ANYWHERE. It’s like a mystery. If you’re knowledgeable about the instruments in that country or region; you know exactly what you want. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY….. for example; the Oriental Pack has ‘Confident Brass’ and ‘Fluffy Accordion’. REALLY? I lived in China and I can tell you, accordions are not an Oriental Instrument. Dear Developer - please list each and every instrument you get with the packs…. and quit duplicating stuff to rip off your customers.
……. The Silk Road Pack is TERRIBLE…. the GuZheng sounds like a piano. The ErHu sounds like a….. are you ready….. different piano.

I’m new to WorldPianoDrumMachine but am loving the tones. I did encounter a persistent bug. On the “strings yayli” setting, the sound when holding F4 cuts off after about 3 seconds. All other tones seem to hold out as long as the key is pressed. Besides that tiny glitch, WorldPianoDrumMachine is very much worth the download.

There's only one problem. I can't change it to a Groovepad. Or synthesizer. Do you think you can fix it?

I hope you fix it. Because there's only one problem. I have WorldPianoDrumMachine Groovepad. But it won't let me write a review. So can you fix both of those things?. And I can change it to a piano either. There's no piano soundtrack and I can't find any soundtracks. So fix it right away I really need it to be fixed so if you can fix it about him sleep that would be

This program has helped me a lot with making music in GarageBand, and I couldn’t be more grateful for it. However, I’ve been having problems with it recently. Whenever I export my songs, the tracks with the World Synth don’t export with it. While there are workarounds with the recording feature, it is a bit tedious and inconvenient. Hopefully this can be fixed in the future.

Great sounding synth, really like it a lot. But kept nagging me to rate it every single time I changed a setting, so here I am. And it originally came with an extra sound pack, which the developers said got in there by mistake, so they removed it in the subsequent update, which I find to be kind of lame. But definitely check it out, some really good presets, and sound quality.

There are a lot of interesting things about WorldPianoDrumMachine that makes it really stand out from the rest. I love the world style and rhythms most of. Ease of use is also worth mentioning and overall I’d say this is immediately one of my favorites in WorldPianoDrumMachine Store. Get it.

I love WorldPianoDrumMachine’s great editable sounds and no latency. It is costly per sound but worth it, I think.

Upon update, I lost all my purchased packs and hours of tweaks. The developer told me to reinstall WorldPianoDrumMachine and restore the sounds. That worked except for my edits were gone, of course. As of yet I don’t see a way to back up edits.

I’ve used this for a while, but now whenever I use it in GarageBand, it tells me to install it even though I already have it installed. Did I do something wrong? I even tried reinstalling it.

I love WorldPianoDrumMachine. It is very useful for music production and using soundfont files, but the latest update messed up GarageBand for me. It now plays every sound I assign to it on every track that belongs to it.

Is there any way to fix this? Because all my songs are now broken...

WorldPianoDrumMachine is a must have for any musician. I was almost going to purchase a synth costing $1000+. But I realized WorldPianoDrumMachine did everything I needed. Thank God I found it.

Plus the sound and tone is better than anything I have heard.

Super cool iOS app with a vast amount of sound sets and features to get you making ultra cool and unique rhythms & textures happening with ease! And cool scales to make you sound like you know what you’re doing as you play along.

Love WorldPianoDrumMachine, the sounds are so beautiful and its wonderful to be able to browse through different scales and sounds, all nicely categorized. Spending hours just playing through the different instruments. Lovely!

I understand getting an app into a usable AUv3 version without hiccups & crashes takes time and isn’t easy. But that’s what this synth needs. I purchased a few sound packs (Arabic & Silk Road) and the majority of the Silk Road patches just don’t work. I’ll gladly change my review if the apps issues are mended...

Great developer, and awesome sounding synth.. and the presets are very inspiring. Had an issue with loops not edited very good and the dev quickly jumped on a fix and updated it with no problems. Waiting on the next update to see what else happens! Hopefully we’ll see more patches in the future in the form of IAPs and keep this thing going! Thanks! 👍

The UI is easy to navigate which streamlines workflow. The world instruments and concert grand sound amazing. With Midi support it makes a great addition to your studio setup either it’s for triggering inspiration or creating minimal soundscapes

You probably know what I’m about to say.
GarageBand exports silent, yadayadayada.
This issue has occurred again. We ask you to please fix it.

I downloaded an sf2 file but for some reason, when i hit import, the sf2 file doesn’t appear on any of the folders that i set it in, i feel as if this is a glitch or if i am not doing it right.

First of all, this is an Fantastic, Fantastic app for a musician - a veritable treasurehouse! I like it so much, especially since now you can import your own beats - hurrah!

My only complaint (outside of the nag screen that appears every time I open WorldPianoDrumMachine ) is that every time I upgrade TAQSIM, I have to re-install it in order to restore my purchased sound packs. This is a major pain, to say in least, because it is always being upgraded.

May I suggest a Restore button be placed within WorldPianoDrumMachine for convenience sake?

When I export songs with this from GarageBand, most of the time the song will export without the sound from this, if you could fix that it would be greatly appreciated
