Overall this is a fun game that you don’t need to spend money on, unless you’re looking to level up a weapon as red souls can’t be obtained through gameplay. To start, I’m on the third tower as I’m writing this review, so I have invested a good amount of time in the game. The game does a poor job explaining the mechanics aside from gameplay. For instance, the reforge mechanic isn’t explained at all and I’ve only seemed to worsen my weapons when using it. There isn’t a list of what each weapon ability does, so you need to memorize. The game also doesn’t explain how to work around certain mechanics, such as the barriers projected from the towers, or the explosive enemies from the third tower. I still don’t know how to deal with the latter, and I honestly will reset the tower if the first floor is an explosive enemy. There isn’t a weapon rarity chart, so I don’t know how good or bad my luck is, and devil power isn’t explained well either. It’s grind-heavy for sure, but it’s a manageable game. If the developers added just a few more instructional notes or tuned down certain enemies, the game would be much better.
