Learn Play Flute Reviews

I already know flute as I do it in school and I wanted to advance more because I have a playing test coming up. This was the first app that popped up and I decided to get it. In the first lesson where you learn the B note, I was doing it perfectly but it calls out all slight mistakes. I eventually finished them but realized that the beginner course was the only one you can do for free without paying for the stupid subscription. Don’t waste your time on this trashy app

LearnPlayFlute was saying everything I did was wrong but LearnPlayFlute is incorrect. LearnPlayFlute is not for me in my opinion some people love it but I don’t. LearnPlayFlute was making me go high and low and say I was doing it all wrong. My flute would squeak when I play the right amount, when it saying im going to low i cant that is how high my flute can go without it squeaking.

I go in LearnPlayFlute and I know how to play the flute ,but I wanted to try it but I was so disappointed when it said my note was wrong when it was right . I have ben playing for 2 years and was not happy when it said it was not right it was the B note and it said it was to low but it sound good. And I am never buying LearnPlayFlute again.I’m sorry but it is not a good app if it is false in for people that don’t know how to play the flute that is very encouraging when they think they’re playing the right note but you tell them it’s not right, and you don’t know because you’re a beginner that you’re playing it, right so pls note that this is a problem before getting LearnPlayFlute 😃

I think it’s a great app but I can only play lesson one and I don’t think it’s fair that you can’t play any other lesson with out paying for it so I’m leaving one star because I downloaded LearnPlayFlute thinking it would help me with my high notes because my music teacher said I need to work on it but LearnPlayFlute was a disappointment this is my first time ever writing a review on something so yea pls improve because not all of us have money.

I paid for monthly unlimited access, when the update happened I lost all of my progress and it takes me back to level 1. I paid for this month and it acts like I never responded paid and wants me to pay again for unlimited access. I sent an email and received NO RESPONSE.

I don’t really like LearnPlayFlute, it asks me how long I have been playing flute, I put in “over a year” and it gives me beginning lessons. I put advanced lessons, but I don’t wanna pay for wanting to learn like a little bit. And the notes for the first song, B natural has nothing to do with “Wellerman”, (what I chose) and having a bunch of rests is super annoying.

First off, I’m pretty sure that the flute is not being held correctly in LearnPlayFlute profile. Second, at least for me, LearnPlayFlute is marking a lot of notes as incorrect, and I have no clue why. The pitches are really sensitive, I guess. Third, it kicked me out twice in 5 minutes today. Not happy with that. And lastly, there’s an “energy” limit if you don’t pay for premium. But there’s no where that shows how much energy you have.

I had wanted this to practice for school on the flute but when i got it the premium add popped up. And why does it ask for your age? And when it asks you how long have you played the flute it doesn’t use the info. So in general, ok. And another thing is why does it ask how good you are but doesn’t use that answer, i know a lot of notes but even if i wanted premium it is too expensive

Though this is a good app when you get to the second note one of the songs includes the first note and I even checked to make sure but it said nothing about this. So i played both notes but it didn’t work so I played just the note that I was learning. But that didn’t work. I only knew two notes and still can’t get more than fifty percent on it. But I think im just misunderstanding it somehow. But I mean before that it was fine but still I found it a bit confusing and I also checked multiple videos on how to hold a flat and LearnPlayFlute wasn’t using any of these so it didn’t teach me how to hold it properly which confused me a bit.

The exercises are best done in landscape and that works well. But the explanations are only in portrait - which is a pain. I keep having to rotate my iPad.

I can’t figure out what the difference between free and premium is for the content I want. I’m only using learning refresh my memory of playing flute from grade school through high school. If I don’t want songs, why would I want premium?

For the most part it is giving me what I want so I give it 3 stars.

Fix the orientation issue and I would give it 5 stars.

Explain the value of premium and I’d give you money.

Great lessons, content, and learning potential (and the price is comparable to other similar apps which is impressive for how close it gets to in-person lessons), but there are a few fixes needed before it would work well for me:

On practice songs (where it’s following your playing and there isn’t background music), I don’t like that the scrolling bar completely skips over rests. Sometimes the screen even scrolls past an entire measure that’s just a rest. I don’t want to just practice pitch in isolation of pacing/rhythm.

On the songs with background music, I love the way it’s supposed to work and the selections, but either my internet or phone must be too slow, because it says I’m late on almost every note, and slightly pauses each time (I guess so I can catch up, except I already played it right on tempo), making for a choppy playing experience. I have two other similar apps and neither of them ever have this problem, so I think it can be fixed and would love to enroll in premium (I have the trial right now) once it works!

Fifty years ago I was a mediocre second flute in the high school band. Three months ago I rented a flute and tried Tonestro. Despite my much older lungs, I can now play and enjoy playing flute more than ever before. My Tonestro teacher was great, and the lessons and practices are very helpful. Thank you Tonestro.

Even though “fluting” can get quite frustrating just take a break and come back I have only been using LearnPlayFlute for a little bit but I can tell I will most definitely improving my skills on flute in a very short time. 10 out of 10 recommend.

Really enjoying LearnPlayFlute so far, as I haven’t played the flute in at least 5 years. I like that it has a test for you to do with each practice so that you can identify notes, length of notes, rhythm, and pitch. I’m only getting started but I’m really enjoying getting back into music for fun.

Ever since I have discovered LearnPlayFlute I loved it. It teaches me to play on the right tone and for the right time. Plus it has a bunch of songs but I do wish more songs were available for free members. Honestly LearnPlayFlute is better then my band teacher! But I would like the feature that you can upload your own music and practice on there. It would be helpful for my band clads

This fruit lesson is really fun. People are gonna love it and enjoy it too. It’s really cool because you get to learn more about flute and learn more lessons and it’s just like that cool so like you should try it out.

As a beginner 11 year old flute player in band, this is such a big help! It’s free and easy to follow along and play with limited experience and knowledge on the flute. 10 out of 10 would recommend!

Amazing for learning how to play the flute, though I wish that there was more songs that you could play without buying the premium. Other than that it’s amazing! My band friend showed me LearnPlayFlute, and I love it! But, I do wish there was a better selection for free music, like twinkle twinkle little star and Mary had a little lamb, but I love how it corrects you too! Other than all that it is a great app!❤️❤️❤️❤️

LearnPlayFlute is great! it really helped me improve, it got so bad to the point were in class it s been a month and i didn’t even know 1 note! this helped me catch up and go beyond!

I love this game, however I don’t like how it asks for your age. I don’t think you need my age to tell my likes and taste. Anyway on a very positive note I recommend LearnPlayFlute to anyone who wants to learn how to play the flute. I learned how to play it very well and very quickly too. In my opinion this game has no big flaws besides a little bit of a privacy issue. That DEFINITELY is not the end of the world ESPECIALLY with this game. I love how the selection of songs is pretty wide even without premium. Overall AMAZING game.
