Maybe I’m missing something because everyone else seems to love LoanCalculator. I purchased the pro version for $5.99 today. The only perk I can see is that I can save my loans. Which would be worth it except that I can’t do what I want with LoanCalculator , so saving what I’m doing isn’t very valuable to me. Here is what I would like to be able to do:

Input my loan information
Add the one time extra payment I made and see how that affects my loan

What I got:

Add extra payment information. The extra payment is assumed to be made monthly and there is no option to change this.

When I touch a field to edit the information is instantly deleted. So if I touch the wrong field or only want to change one number it deletes the entire thing and sometimes I can’t remember what the number was.

I’m really disappointed and wish there was a way to get my money back so I can buy something different.

LoanCalculator is good, however, it lacks some features such as different currency options , loan terms options and language options.

I would like to see LoanCalculator show a deferred payment. Many times when you buy a vehicle you have 30 or 45 days before your first payment. This obviously equates to part of the calculation of what your monthly payment is going to be based on the number of days interest is accruing from the actual date of purchase. I have not seen any loan calculator include this or offer this option. Every loan I have ever entered has never equaled the same as what the dealer calculates. I find that you enter the purchase price on the contract along with the number of payments and it’s off by a couple of dollars. I was told this is because it is adjusting for the number of days between the purchase and the actual first payment made.

This is a great loan app for tracking loans. I wish the amount for each loan on the saved loans screen would display the current balance, not the original balance. Nobody cares what the original balance was, but it would be helpful to see the current balance of each loan at a glance on one screen without having to navigate through multiple different screens to get to view current balances. Please please please change that. I would give 5 stars with that change.

Works well, and is easy to use. Also, I like the developer’s Privacy Policy of not tracking me, and not collecting or selling my data. Many thanks for that!

LoanCalculator is very handy for someone working in the financial industry. It’s got everything I need for lending with a clean-easy to use layout.

Figure out a payment or 100 different options of payments easily. Perfect to have in hand when talking to bankers or real estate agents!

I love LoanCalculator . The only two features I wish it had was the ability to enter a forced monthly and that the amortization schedule show yearly totals.

New Versions get better. Love the extra payment feature types.

After downloading and several of these, this is hands down the easiest to use for early payoff. Simple. Small. Perfect.

LoanCalculator was very intuitive and easy to use. It’s been very helpful in calculating my student loan payments. Also, not having annoying ads is a big plus. Would recommend.

I downloaded all the other free apps and they were ok but they had either ads, they only displayed in portrait mode, or you had to scroll through options to choose how many years or months. LoanCalculator, on the other hand, is ad-free (so far), and it updates every time you input information. I am so grateful, thanks!

This is the only mortgage Calc I found that you just plug in the numbers and it figures your payment. All the others take want to sell you something or become your realtor.

Exact loan calculation for any period of time or interest rate you want, including adding additional payments. Also gives you a full amortization schedule to review.

Allowing us to use a free version to calculate how much we saved by paying off our debt early is a great move! Thank you so much! I may consider getting the paid version soon.

Professor version is just a one time fee of $5.95 and provides many additional features useful for a real estate agent or auto/boat salesman.

It allows you to quickly look at the costs/benefits of 15 vs 30 yr loans and great too to see what you have paid in principle and interest if you refinance at a certain number of years in the future.

I deleted my old app and switched to this one as it’s not inundated with ads. Kudos to the developer. I will definitely consider upgrading to the pro version at some point.
