Gin Rummy Reviews

Multiple times I have had Gin, then had it taken away after hitting Knock. It happens when there is a sequence of cards which if split up there would no longer be gin. When the other player has a card which splits up the gin, it’s gone. Very frustrating. Fix it!

Here’s an example: I had the following cards, and the game prompted me that I had Gin. But when I knocked for gin, I only got 10 points: 4567 hearts, 678 spades, 999. When the score was shown, I had 4567 hearts, 6789 spades, and 2 nines. 10 points when it should have been 53. Huh?

I can see from a review from a year ago you have not fixed GinRummy. It still shuts off repeatedly by saying to check my Internet. It’s not our internet. It’s YOUR APP!! Right in the middle of a game it quits. I’m sure other opponents are having this same issue. We NEED FUN THESE DAYS! Please fix it!!

Another day now it says it’s loading ads but the game has started only I get timed out because I haven’t moved but it won’t let me!!! It’s covered by the loading ad sentence!!

It still all of a sudden freezes. I’ve lost count how often this happens. please fix!!!

Do you not read people’s comments and complaints. No apparently you do not. All the little quirks this game are still there after over a year since my first complaint. Cards that change value when drawn. Opponent cards magically taking extra draws or too many or not enough cards in my hand. No internet connection msg although my internet is fine. Games that hang and can’t be completed. Showing me a different avatar than my own. I know a lot of people play this game. It’s the best gin rummy in GinRummy Store EXCEPT for these obvious glitches. Please fix them. The game performance is worse than ever with freeze ups.

This is a somewhat new development in that it “freezes” up every time I play it. I can go back hours or days later with it frozen where I left it.
NOTHING, absolutely nothing else on my iPad does this ever. Only this game! I love this game and mostly good at it. So why can’t the developers do something about it?
Oh, and to the person who wrote the review about the opponents as if they are real? Dude, they are computer generated or some gamers who are watching you play onscreen. Those are NOT real people!
Hey, why don’t you fix the bugs instead of watching and playing us?
Frustrating.

I enjoy this game, however, it seems every few games the game will glitch and freeze and just sit there no timer on either opponent but you have to quit and start a new game. This is frustrating because I have lost a lot of games due to this glitch. Also, sometimes you try to draw from either pile and the game glitches and force draws a card from the opposite pile and then will not allow you to discard that card until the next round. Very frustrating when you waited for a card to make a run or you would have had gin with the card that it glitched on. I think I will uninstall and download a different rummy app for these reasons. If you could work the glitches out it would be a nice app but not worth the frustration. Also the game gives way too much time to players to make a decision. I feel that some people try to run the clock on every turn to frustrate the other player into quitting. You shouldn’t have a whole minute to make the other player wait.

I frequently get kicked out of a game in progress, with a notice that there is “no internet connection” when that is not true. My internet is working fine, after all, the ads play without any issue, as soon as I am kicked from the game! Occasionally, GinRummy just completely quits on its own. Every time either of these instances happen, I lose coins. One other complaint is that when I choose to “play others” I would prefer to play a real person, not a computer with a random name. If I wanted to play a computer, I would choose to play alone. Get these issues fixed and I’ll change my review accordingly.

I see you eliminated the ability to talk with the other person. Smart move. In the last two days I have trouble staying online. Nothing else on my phone is the problem but the connection to the Internet for your game has been horrible. I think it’s fine that people can choose their own names to play under but when it goes beyond filth it should not be allowed.

Fun game. Easy to learn. Glitches too much. Sometimes you will tap to select the known face up card from previous player’s discard and it gives you the unknown card from the deck. Not a big deal (even thought I may have tapped wrong stack) except that it freezes up if you ever try to discard that wrongly given card ... even several plays later. I have played nearly 175 games and been stuck at least 20 times from this glitch.

This is a fun app WHEN it works. Glitches with freezing, forcing a draw I did not make, incorrect scoring, freezing when I get Big Gin and ending the game, and sometimes I’m playing a game but it’s not my name or avatar and the bet has changed, and when the game freezes and I must quit, I lose what was bet.
These problems are not new. I see other reviews with same issues so I know you are aware. Disappointing to see your lack of response.

This is certainly one of the better Gin apps however it still has glitches so you’ll need a little patience. On occasion it freezes during play - leaving no choice but to close GinRummy (taking a loss for points). Game freezes, cards freeze, stops mid game - occasionally claims “no internet connection”??? - It additionally doesn’t add points accurately for watching video ads and on some game wins. Considering it’s a free app / it’s worth it to push through these little glitches. If the kinks were worked out it would be 5 stars.

Every so often I’m playing an off line game and my opponent wins on the 2nd or 3rd turn. I have gotten that once or twice, but the cards need to be shuffled better! It’s kind of funny when my new opponent doesn’t show up, but then I have to watch another ad! It has enough ads thank you. I enjoy playing the game even with a computer opponent!
Haven’t had it crash or glitch on me otherwise.

Two issues: 1. The ads take forever. So many times I have just quit and went to other apps. 2. Numerous times after the ad finished, it will go back to the game, but it shows “please wait while loading ad”. However it just sits and spins while the other player takes their turn. It freezes and I can’t play.

OK, First off, great game, but there are some issues that you need to work out. ONE: Fix the Offline mode, multiple times I just wanted to play a game and I lags and I lose like 300 hard earned coins. TWO: Fix counting for winnings. I have gotten to about 6000 then as it shows 6000 of hard earned money it reduces to 4000! I have had to play for a long time just to get that back to 5000.
Lastly: fix the buttons. I spend like 10 minutes trying to press a button so I can play a different mode.

Other then these problems this is a great game. I would give 5 stars if these were fixed.

1.NO INTERNET CONNECTION. This happens a lot. My connection is perfect. Kills the game in a flash. Why can’t the makers fix this- please.
2.Another person has already pointed this out- you can play a lot, and really enjoy this game. However, certain longer time players are afforded instant rummy while I bumble along trying to get cards. Then alternately, I am given rummy cards while some other poor sucker gets slammed. To the makers of this game: these two scenarios are not fun at all. To have the outcome slanted either way is no challenge. What is the point of that? You know you are doing that purposely. Is money somehow involved?
The game is much more enjoyable when one wins some and loses some.

With issues! This is the realest gin rummy app you will find at The time of this submission. Trust I have tried them all. Minus two stars for some serious issues though. First and foremost...why am I being kicked from the game stating “no internet connection” but your ads are uploading and playing just fine. Please fix this. It is false and annoying. I don’t care about the coins but it also affects the percentage of games won and I would like to see and accurate depiction here. Also, I am choosing play with another so I would like to play with another. Not a bot. I would choose play by myself if I wanted that. Also false and annoying. The “no internet connection” bug is so bad I have had to delete the game and re-install. Hope it works.

It keeps crashing when your playing against a friend...screen just locks up and you can’t discard then times out and game stops. Also remove home button when playing friends it appears after the game and if you touch it the games stops and you can’t go back. Why even have that when the game is still on and nobody has won?? Update...no answers or fixes from developer now after 4 weeks!

The time between hands is annoying it’s only 15 seconds but just feels so much longer! Also I’d like to play more advanced players. Don’t get me wrong I like winning but need more of a challenge and maybe the more I play the harder it Will get who knows? I guess we will see! But besides those two things it’s a really fun game! But very addictive!!

After hanging out with others my age in a hospital stay I realized none of us knew a single card game when the nurse tried to entertain us. She asked what we knew. And we knew nutin. And that kinda struck me as wrong. My mom tried to teach me but I get more confused. I found GinRummy simple enough to learn from scratch. I appreciated it making you discarded the cards yourself and organize your melds yourself as for a beginner it helps you drill the game concept into your head. You don’t get lazy and forget. The rounds are fair in length. Not so short you didn’t even blink like some apps. I also like the background casino noise though it reminds me of my local retirement homes lunch room lol. It adds to the atmosphere which makes it more fun to someone in my generation. Highly recommend.

You really need to fix this game. It keeps kicking me off and telling me to check my internet. This is the only game that does that except for the other two games that you have made. They all do it and it is frustrating. It could be a fun game butYOU NEED TO FIX THAT I see I’m not the only one who sees this problem. If you want people to play then fix the problem

Why would I want to invite friends if your going to kick them off by saying please check your internet

Too many glitches..... I pick the down card but it gives me a stack card.... It freezes and someone has to exit and they forfeit the money.... once I wasn’t my self I was someone named trever or something like that. And I was playing all the cards. The other person wasn’t getting a chance to play.
