Why else would you have an app when the journey tracker doesn’t work? I tried to check my status and DiscountTire would let me sign into my appointment that was underway. Instead I tried to say I just arrived but with my email and phone number it wouldn’t link the two. It also gave me an error when I clicked the link THAT WAS TEXTED TO ME FROM THE STORE… “oops. Something went wrong. Try refreshing the page in a moment.” Well I did that and it still didn’t work. I find it bogus to text me a link that doesn’t work. I tried it in the browser as well and still no luck. What a joke and false advertising for anywhere that it is written to say that they a vehicle status tracker… Zero Stars!!!

DiscountTire is not an app at all but instead a web browser. I’m not sure why they cannot be sophisticated enough to actually create an app. Because of the nature of the “app”, it has navigation issues. For example, since it is trying to be both a browser and an app, it does not have a back button in several areas. If you go to the “home page”, it just goes back to the actual app section which has links and advertisements. To actually view your profile, etc, you must browse the web.

Discount Tire - if you reach out, I can refer you to a few high school students who can make a professional bonafide app. And probably for a minimal fee.

DiscountTire is okay overall but it could be better. The fact that it’s an iPhone app without a basic feature like Apple Pay is just inexcusable in 2023. No I don’t want to put my entire credit card number in DiscountTire especially now with so many data breaches going on. Add Apple Pay, and you have a three-star app, but without it, it barely gets one star.

Went to log in to schedule an appointment but got new version update. Went to update but got , Open in apple to update. Dud that but went back to version update. Something’s wrong with your website. Get it fixed now, because I know when I drive up the tech is going to ask me if I have a reservation and I’ll have to explain to him the mess I’m having. Oh, by the way, the new schedule an appointment is stupid.

Not only is DiscountTire mostly just a web viewer of their website, but it doesn’t even do the one thing I use it for, scheduling an appointment! I press Schedule Now, fill out my vehicle info, then it says “We're sorry, we can't find your info. Please check back shortly or use a vehicle from your recent searches.” I also tried by entering my license plate, but it does the exact same thing. I’m on the latest version, and it’s still broken. DiscountTire’s 2 star average is well deserved. The service itself is typically very good, but they seriously need to hire a decent developer to take care of their app, because it’s been a dumpster fire for years.

Has anyone that works in the “App Decision Making Dept” tried to use DiscountTire? What is up with the inability to go back just one page/step?
So frustrating. It brings you back to home anytime you try to just go back one step. Like if I am looking at the tires that fit my vehicle and I select one of those options but then decide I’d like to look at one of the other options that came on that list, and I hit the back arrow one time, it brings me to the homepage where I have to start all again. Please fix this. Help us to NOT have to use Tire Rack just to research tires before we buy from you.

While submitting the order on the application there was an unexpected error / something went wrong. My card was hit for the charge for the tires but no order number. Called the store. First time Tyler, was rude, and said their computer shows no order and hung up. Second time I got the manager but no help. I called the number on DiscountTire and was told it was just a hold and it would fall off. 3 days later it posted and now calling my bank. So
Irritating!!!!

I had a few minutes between some errands and needed to get my tires rotated and balanced. I checked the “Check In” area of DiscountTire which markets a “30% shorter wait time on average.” It said there was a 0 minute wait so I figured I was good. The 0 minute wait was accurate being that there wasn’t anyone in line but I ended up waiting over two hours for the work to be completed. I won’t be using DiscountTire again.

This is my first app review, and it’s not a good one. So many bugs and crashes that it is really not worth it. Simple features such as searching for tires by brand (cannot scroll down past the first 4 brands) or leaving your shopping cart (no “return/continue shopping” options available; have to restart the search to continue shopping) cause frustration. I like the company, but DiscountTire is cheap and sloppy.

You would think they were trying not to sell you tires. I find other tire store apps and websites that are much easier to find your tires and check different sizes that will fit all my vehicles. Why would you make it so hard to find tires especially tires that aren’t stock size (4 of my work trucks are lifted). I’ve just started buying my tires elsewhere after 30+ years buying them here I don’t have time to go stand in line in the store every time I need tires for one of our vehicles.

It’s just a browser that links to their website only.
It constantly asks for login passwords and is a very minimal web app.
Wish they would do an actual full blown app. It would (hopefully) alleviate the headache of this sorry web app.
Seriously there was only minimal work put into the current Discount Tire app. I hate when businesses do that

Would be nice to include on your app… history of past visits. It would definitely help to be able to search past visits… when your last rotation/balance was, when the vehicle is due for its next, etc.
Any past purchases…tires, wheels, wipers, etc…. would be helpful to view this in our accounts, on your Discount Tire app.
Please consider this in your next update.

What a horrible tire browsing experience. Not really even the fault of DiscountTire …the website is horrible too. It’s just an incredibly clumsy user interface. Onward to another tire supplier I guess. Unbelievable. I thought they bought tire rack and tire rack was always easy to find what you needed.

I am a big fan and long time customer of Discount Tire. DiscountTire is not worth using in my experience. As others have said in their review, this behaves like a simple wrapper around a web site and does a poor job of it. I will often get errors trying to schedule an appointment and be prompted to start over. When an attempt does go through and I view my upcoming appointments, the failed attempts will be in the list.

I can’t see any obvious way to delete appointments in DiscountTire nor can I find a way to add an appointment to my calendar.

For me, skip DiscountTire and just use the web site.

Your phone app is frustrating …. Tried multiple times to change password on my acct but never get an email with a pw change link…. Have checked spam folder …… have waited hours ….. have tried multiple times …….

Tried to recreate acct on your app with my email just to make sure the acct exist ….. confirmed the acct exists…..

I love doing business with you guys …… techs are always professional , friendly and knowledgeable…..but it is frustrating to have to go to your website and reenter all my info anytime I want to make an appt ……

Pls fix your app to allow password changes

DiscountTire has gone way beyond its rated mileage. Someone needs to rotate DiscountTire and check the tread depth. I found it tricky to get an appointment set. It also was strange it would not accept some basic punctuation like commas and apostrophes. It did take hyphens though so that’s… weird. Anyway, yeah, DiscountTire needs a bit of love and care. Not an overhaul per se, just someone from the dev team should take a quick look and spruce it up a little.

It’s strange that DiscountTire won’t actually that you set up an account that saves all of your info. Even though I could schedule an appointment easily, it wouldn’t save my vehicle even though I went through the appropriate set up process five times. This really needs some work.

I walked in to discount tires in Kerrville Texas today. William, sales rep help me and I bought 4 new Michelin tires for my 2019 Hyundai Tucson. William did all the paperwork and answered all my questions . The tires were put on my car and I had a very smooth ride home.
William and all of the young people that work for Kerrville discount tires are excellent, respectful and will answer any of your questions.

Customer Service was exceptional! I called to say I was on my way with a trailer that needed a tire, after a flat. I was there in 5 minutes. He took me out to look at it, made a few suggestions, got it done in no time at all. We need more Austin’s in the world! Greet Customer service seemed to be a thing of the past, but not at Discount Tire 🩷

Not only is DiscountTire super convenient for scheduling appointments, it makes your wait time at the store so much shorter. Highly recommend DiscountTire and this tire shop!
