I agree with James McCarty, Trackerguy, and Maui Kid. This was listed on AppAdvice on April 16th and now it feels like a bait-and-switch by the developer. Within HOURS of being posted on AppAdvice, it was changed to a subscription app. Very shifty.
While I can appreciate charging for premium features like cloud sync and unlimited verses, the free version is all but useless since it only allows you to work on ONE verse. Come on, buddy!
Allowing 10 verses in a free version is hardly an UNLIMITED amount and it would better showcase the app’s utility. I also support James McCarty’s objection to the limitation on each memory game. Again, SHOWCASE THE APP and stop pestering us to upgrade to something we can’t even play with.
Regarding the “Lifetime” subscription, charging $40 puts WAY too much risk on the consumer. At some point the developer will stop supporting it or will run into issues with future iOS versions. What then?! $40/$19 means my ROI > 2.1 years. A lot can happen during that time.
In the end, I would not recommend this app in its current state. I’d wait for the developer to add more verses and revamp his cost model, then give it another look. Offering another promo on AppAdvice and/or restoring full functionality to the current suite of memory games could also help win people back.

I really wish this app would remember what boys I picked in the drop-down what speed that I sent it to and what pitch that I selected.
I also wish that this app would show which line it’s being read as the device is reading it to me. Super annoying to have to move my finger around on the screen to follow along. An added bonus would be if it highlighted what line was being a read.
I really wish the dictation system was better at recognizing the words that are being said. Even if it did yes the next word and use that to determine whether or not the word was correct. It just seems pretty useless that I have to edit it after the fact.
I’d give this app one more star if there’s changes were made most definitely

I use this app and find it very effective for memorizing scripture. I recommend it for anyone trying to memorize anything. I’ve tried about 10 different apps and find this to be the most effective.
That said, the support for this app is non existent. I paid for the lifetime membership so I could have more than two memorizations at a time. I like how i can use this app on my phone and my computer and they have a sync feature, but it doesn’t work very well. I am constantly changing my memorizations or making grammatical changes and they don’t sync between devices. Even after turning off sync and turning it back on my computer doesn’t match my phone. Very annoying. And to make it worse, there is absolutely no place to click to send an email or txt for any type of support.
This would be a 5 star app if they had any support function at all.
