F1 Clash - Car Racing Manager Reviews

First off, if nothing else, you absolutely MUST create a name system. I don't want to give away my full name and facebook profile picture to every single person I play, and this needs to be changed. This has got to be a privacy issue. There needs to be an emblem/picture system as well as a naming system in place so people can override their name and photo being used. Secondly, this game NEEDS statistics. You should be able to see a comprehensive view of race history as well as a full stat history somewhere in the main menu, it would not only be really helpful but cool and interesting to look at as well. Additionally, there really should be car presets available so I can save different specs on my car and try them out without having to remember each setup and manually switch each part every time. Lastly, I really think there needs to be another mode other than the clash and weekly events. Maybe it could be a full season, maybe it could be a full 10 person race, maybe it could be a tournament system, but the game still just feels bare right now. As an added bonus, I think there should be more player-player interaction - maybe some sort of clan system, friends, chats, all of the sort. Ultimately, this is a really fun game but it is missing key aspects of a great game that I continue to return to for a long while.

This game is actually very fun and enjoyable (at times) to play. It’s like a mix between clash royale and formula one. This is a game I could see myself pouring hours of my time into, except I won’t because of one thing: the matchmaking. Good god, the matchmaking is horrible. I’ve lost about 80 to 90 percent of the races I enter because the other person qualifies super far up the grid and I get stuck down around 20th, and from there I really can’t do anything. It also doesn’t help that the driving mechanics themselves are completely rng dependent. Basically, it’s completely random whether you win or lose a race, and the majority of the time you will lose because the matchmaker puts you up against someone with a much better car and drivers every single time. This is a problem because it costs money to enter races, and you don’t get any money back unless you win. Therefore I find myself playing for a few minutes until I run out of coins after losing four races in a row, then waiting four hours for a free crate just so I can get enough money to enter another couple of races, then I repeat that loop over and over again. It’s a shame, really, because this game has great potential. I really wish I could play it more, but I just can’t because the matchmaking is so terribly designed. If the developers were to fix the matchmaking, me and a lot more people would play the game a whole lot more.

The game is fun until you have to race against someone who has a better qualifying than you and only because of that wins. The matchmaking is completely unfair. I have multiple times raced someone with a car and drivers 10 times better than mine and then win because I’m absolutely hopeless because they also got a really good qualifying. The crates don’t even give you anything that good really. So people are obviously buying these to try and be better and it works. It’s a really pay to win game. You are forced to race someone that has 100 trophies more than you and then completely annihilates you and you can’t do anything but watch all the money disappear. I have also had money just randomly disappear when I won a race. Games unfair and pay to win. Devs only care about money. Also the reviews would not be as positive if the devs didn’t offer a gift for leaving 5 stars. If you just spend a min or more in the “most favorable” tab you can clearly see the brainless 5 star posts of people just saying good, or you’ll see people spamming letters to leave a review. Keep that in mind when looking at ratings

What could make this game better is a single player mode where you can race for money and in a season instead of random races. It would fix the massive money problem and make the game 10 times more fun.

Overall the game play and concept is all good. Graphics are good but it lacks consistency when it comes to performance. Lacks consistency on matching up players with similar skill. Most of the time in my experience I get matched up vs people with way higher grades than me so makes it almost impossible to win. Maybe the matching system needs to be tweaked. I lowered my rating to 1 star. It’s a joke how inconsistent it is. I wrote my review and then decided to give the game another chance but more of the same stupidity of matchup and in race issues. I am on boost and take a turn and get passed by 3 cars lol. Doesn’t seem like the drivers ratings do anything when it comes to racing. My highest “consistency” drivers seem to have the least consistent race, taking turns way wide or letting 3 people pass me because I slowed down and took the outside of a turn. Seems like the driver did that just to let 3 cars behind me pass.
Also when a car breaks down why not have the car get affected and slow down so it forces people to go into pits. You can literally drive laps of a broken car with no effect.
Last thing is this game really does want you to purchase packs and things and you can only be competitive if you do. If you don’t you will be stuck with lower parts and drivers as the upgrades on parts and cars are ridiculously high. So if you want to play this game competitively be ready to spend money.

This game could be the best but it’s far from it. If your life or thinking does not involve logic or fairness then you’re going to love this game. There is no goal in this game. If you think that I’m upgrading the car and the driver so I should do better then you’re wrong, they will just put you against an even higher ranked player. I get someone who’s ranked 100+ points higher and they out qualify me by 20 positions. Ok, but now I’m playing against someone who’s a 100 points weaker, so it should be my turn. But no, they still outqualify me by 20 positions. They use boosties so they zoom past me. I use boosties so my car stops and everyone zooms past me. In turns they have super streamlined path, my drivers go out to the farthest point of the turn, stop there, and at some point they take off after losing 6 positions. The upgrades, not only that they don’t get you anywhere, but it’s absolutely random whether you can upgrade or not. I’m in series 11 and I get options to upgrade a series 2 driver. If I get enough parts that is, usually you don’t, but then of course you can buy them. If you don’t pay in this game, this is what’s going to happen. Send to play a game that had a similar engine to get you opponents and similar concept (upgrades don’t give you an advantage), stopped playing that one and will stop playing this one too. I really wanted to like this game but there is no chance to do that.

This game is no longer fun since the latest update. Before the latest update changed drivers or parts and race, the strategy made a difference in performance and the results. Since the update, it doesn't matter what you do. Before the update, I was progressing through the game well and was able to win and improve. since the update, I can't win anything no matter what adjustments I make. In addition, they have a server problem where the game freezes then kicks you off, and then says you forfeited and keeps your entry. My brother had the same problem and they told him is was his connection. He lives 1500 miles away from me and I have 1 gig service and a new device and it happens to me too. I've lost almost 100 million dollars because of it. It's their servers. In my opinion, these changes are designed to force the players to spend more real money. Until they fix it I suggest everyone play F1 mobile. Since the latest updates that one is a lot of fun and you can actually win a good amount of races.

To the game designer. If you want people to play your game and make money then you have to make the game fun. It's not fun to lose every race. Also, refund the game money everyone has lost because of your server kicking people off. You should not penalize people if they did not actually quit the race.

If you hate money and you love wasting your time then this is the perfect game for you. It gives you a limited amount of coins and then it forces you to race against people much faster than you so you lose all your coins. The only way to get your coins back is to wait hours for these boxes with tiny amounts of coins in them.

Sometimes your driver and cars are rated much higher than the opponent but when you start the race, for no reason the computer controlled cars push your car from 1st to 15th. And then no matter what you do for the whole race you can never catch up. It’s like the developers intentionally make you lose so you have to buy (with your real money) more coins in the game to keep playing. The developers would probably say that it’s possible to do well in the game without paying, but that is the exception not the rule. The computer controlled cars regularly box your cars in just so you lose and you have to spend real money to buy another race. If you start doing well and win 2 or 3 races in a row, the bots make you lose all of the next races until you’re out of in game currency and have to spend your real money to get more.

It’s a shame that this is the only mobile game option for F1 fans. They really drag the brands through the mud. Hopefully this is a short term thing and F1 will find new developers ASAP.

I throughly enjoy playing/grinding this game and while last year was fun and competitive, this year has become a bit more unbalanced, especially in the pit stops. It’s incredibly difficult to win when your pit stop time is 1-3s slower than your rival despite them having significantly worse stats in every other category (around a 10 or so difference in each). I’d rather see randomly generated pit stop times in a specific range as you move up series (ie 7-8s in series 1, 1.8-2.5 in series 7, etc) so the focus is more on drivers and your car’s stats. I do like the better balance among drivers this year so it’s not the same two drivers you end up running with by the time you are in series 12, but this pit stop time needs to be either weighted different on the car’s performance or given a strict time range so the focus is more on the actual driving and performance of your car/driver. I’d also like to see reliability come into play more where if your car “breaks down” its performance is hampered until you pit to force strategy changes instead of just pushing through as you can watch rival cars “breakdown” after they no longer need to pit.

This game is fun to a point. Then you lose 5-10 in a row go broke (because you bet on every race) and can’t upgrade your car or driver because that is ridiculously expensive. You play on because all of a sudden you win and win and win. It’s a great feeling. But you still can’t upgrade cause you’re in races that doesn’t pay enough. So you risk it and go to the races that pay more. Then you lose and you’re back to where you started. Miles from upgrades. It’s a continual cycle of grinding.

Matchmaking is another problem. You face two other cars in a field of 24. They could qualify in the top ten while both of your cars start on the last line. Qualifying is a simulation and there is nothing you can do. You will never catch them so you waste your time in a hopeless battle. When you start near each other it’s fun. But your drivers drive randomly. They only overtake in certain situations. Other times they crash into the back of the car ahead and lose all momentum. Note the could go on either side of the car ahead but choose to ram the car 8 out of 10 times.

I wish you could race multiple teams twelve would be great. Enter into a race and depending on where you finish you are rewarded somehow. So you can still move up the ranks without having to beat just one persons team.

I played this game last year and got pretty far in before I stopped because the matchmaking was absolutely terrible. This year I saw that they had made changes to the matchmaking system and decided to give it another go. I’ve done maybe 10-15 races and already realized it’s still just as broken as before. The final straw was getting matched up against someone who had drivers 3 levels higher then mine, an advantage in every car stat including pit stop time, and 5 more of the rating. And even though they pitted 3 times and utilized a pretty awful strategy there was nothing I could do to keep up or even have a shot at competing. Another issue is the way the cars drive. The way they corner is so inconsistent and aggravating because sometimes your drivers will struggle to get by a much slower car for laps on end, lose 6 in one hairpin, or go on god mode and fly by 4 cars in a handful of corners. It doesn’t make sense and it renders any form of strategy useless if the pace and overall raciness of the cars is up to whether or not they take a corner with any form of competence. It’s really annoying, because when the matchmaking is ok and the cars race like cars it’s an extremely fun and addicting game. But it’s so frustrating or way too easy to play a solid 2/3 of the time.

It’s a 50/50 toss up whether my drivers runs off track or he runs the correct line and makes a pass like in Suzuka if the driver in front goes high in the hairpin you’d want to drive low to try and pass but no my driver decided it’s a good idea to follow the driver and lose like three spots and also at Singapore the same thing happens in the hairpin there. Another complaint please fix the circuit Gilles-villeneuve and make it wider you can’t pass it is so narrow and I can’t find a good strategy like I never have good races there and always finish in the midfield. Also please fix qualifying my drivers maybe 2.5 secs faster per lap than the field in clean air but in qualifying the only qualifying in the top ten about 1% of the time. Because of this I’ve won only 15 times and I know I could’ve won a lot more. And also make like a season mode where we have the accurate full race schedule Bahrain-Abu dhabi and let us choose the race length. And maybe try and implement a q1 q2 q3 qualifying and let us have like sponsor deals to earn money and give us more livery options. I know this is a lot to ask but I think everyone would like this. Por favor y gracias.

This game has moments of being fun, BUT OMG its so unbalanced. The AI driving will make you insane! Ive watched my car in 3rd place leave pitlane and stop to let the entire field go by, then rejoin in last. Ive watched my drivers turn left in a right hand turn, drive through the grass and lose 6 places for no reason. OR just hit the brakes and come to a dead stop in the middle of turn. The AI needs lots of work…LOTS of work! Winning is arbitrary, because other than changing tires, you play no role in how your team performs. ALSO, it does NOT matter what driver you have or what upgrades you install, the game matches you with someone who has the same stuff…so whats the point. Also the cost of upgrades is on a vertical curve. $20k for level 1…$350k for level 2… and since we can be sure to always have 10 loses to 1 win, unless i spend real money, i cant upgrade.

This game has great potential, but is far from ready. Teach the AI to drive. A driver doesnt make it to F1 with the skills of a weekend rental kart driver. Fix the match balance. Qualy is a joke. And make driver performance predictable, because otherwise its meaningless. (My driver will stay top 5 in one race then live in 24th for the next 5 races)

I don’t hate the game, but it’s nothing particularly special. There is a very annoying bug regarding the ads, you can watch an ad and not receive the award, which doesn’t occur just occasionally, but every other ad. Additionally, you must have a Facebook account to save your data between devices or change your name. I don’t have Facebook, so this means I’m just “Guest####”; you also can’t claim the reward for linking your account to Facebook. It’s a minor issue, but a bit annoying. Lastly, and the most important, are the mechanics of the game and how your stats influence your performance just don’t make sense. Every match is just a pure crap shoot in terms of how you’ll qualify, how you’ll race, and how you’ll finish. You’ll blow out a person with better stats than you one match and you’ll get dominated by somebody with worse drivers and stats on the next. You feel like you’re progressing by leveling up drivers and parts, but every race just feels like you’re the same base driver/car you started with. The game was fun to play for a few weeks, but the same repetitiveness and lack of feeling like you’re progressing besides getting a few new tracks, just lost my interest.

This is an awesome game with so much potential, it makes me sad that I really cannot use my favorite drivers because they are unlocked early on or their stats make them unusable when in reality they are at the top of their game and the top drivers in the sport. Even still the worst part of this game is how at the start of the race ur drivers are completely incapable of overtaking anyone, they may make a few passes in the first corner but usually just lose position or if u have a driver boost, but as soon as the first round of pit stops occur all of a sudden your driver decides to become a driving god and pass everything whenever he wants to....how is that possible. Lastly if a safety car comes out before the first round of pit stops the games mechanics make your drivers think it’s like the start of the race again and they will be unable to pass anything, even in overtake mode, until the next round of pit stops and it becomes impossible to make a good finish for your team. These issues should have been fixed a while ago and still ruins tournaments for me and makes me want to uninstall this game that should be so much fun, y’all need to fix this.

Very fun game to pass the time at work but there needs to be some kind of better matchmaking in place as you get put in a race with players that have unlocked superior drivers which is fine you should always lose some but when it happens 4 to 5 times in a row... somethings not right and this comes to my next point. With being the underdog in most races it kinda leans you towards micro transactions and becomes a pay to win type scenario which is kinda disappointing, just to test it I bought the starting kit or whatever it is for like two bucks and I went from losing constantly to winning easily, it almost felt easy, like I was overpowered because I unlocked the gold crate that came with the package I purchased, I think the micro transactions should not effect your gameplay, but maybe just graphic effects or something like that or unique paint jobs or even a better idea you could purchase the ability to create your own driver and choose his name and performance but in a balanced way say like you could choose to have really good defense and in doing so sacrifice something else like overtaking

I like the idea. The betting model of games like 8 ball pool and Golf Clash is easily the best free-to-play model on F1Clash Store. Certainly beat the mode of clash of clans and other base builder which are completely unplayable unless you pay money to drop the wait times. Sorry I don’t want to wait a whole week in order to play a game. It’s worse than pay to win its pay to play. Just make the game $5 on F1Clash Store and get it over with. Anyways back to this game. It has the approach to free-to-play I like but lacks the gameplay to back it up. I enjoy the mechanics of the game the problem is it’s extremely luck based. Managing my team is fun but when I can’t even make it to the second tier of duels because my car breaks down it doesn’t feel good. In 8-ball pool or Golf Clash I lose because I didn’t play well enough. In this game it comes down to a bit of RNG. Again I’m fine with RNG in a game but when my ability to continue playing and advancing in the game depends on it that’s poor design.

A better gameplay loop would solve the issue but I doubt that’s in the cards as the development team probably doesn’t want to rebuild their game from the ground up.

This game has a good problem. Simple as that. There are only 2 chests (free and standard) that pay gold. And it’s a very miniscule amount of gold at that. Other than that, you have to buy gold with real money or win it in races. Winning it in races is next to impossible thanks to the game “randomly” matching you consistently against teams at least 60 points higher than yours. No amount of boosts help you. There is nothing fun or fulfilling about watching your opponent qualify top 10 while your epic drivers seem to have an off day and barely pull off P15. Then you have to just play because the game forces you to complete the unfair race just to at least get a pit pass point. Oh, and the $5 premium pit pass barely gives back any gold either. Did I mention gold is needed to upgrade your stuff for more unfair races that you also have to pay gold to enter? I’ve just taken to spotting these unfair races in advance, setting my drivers on soft tires, and setting my phone down to go do something else while wasting my opponent’s time. Developers, if you’re reading this (and that’s assuming you can read) you almost have a playable game if you would actually let people have gold to play and enjoy the game.

I love this game. It’s an awesome concept and it’s addictive but it’s so frustrating. Everyone is complaining about the match making but it’s more than that. There are some tracks like Brasil and Monaco (in particular) which are impossible to win if you qualified behind your challenger. You get so badly jammed in the traffic that you can’t overtake even if you’re giving your drivers full blast. You have zero control over qualifying so those matches provide no ability to exercise any skill or strategy whatsoever.

The match making is still terrible. The vast separation after qualifying makes me want to forfeit the match before I waste time playing a guaranteed losing game.

Everything is so expensive and tedious. I can’t believe that I just had over a million credits and then lost the next 6 consecutive games in a row. Once again I’m broke and I can’t upgrade anything if I wanted to because I’m at the stage where all upgrades are several hundreds of thousands of credits. The only choice I have to even play now is wait for a few days worth of free crates. And I have to sign in every 2-4hrs just to open a crate? That’s just frankly disgusting. Let the crates open automatically or something!

This game started out really really fun and I was super addicted to it. What I didn’t realize was that the matchmaking was completely broken and now I find myself constantly being matched with players that have far superior cars as they always qualify about 10 places ahead of me while I’m at the back of the grid. It’s literally impossible to win against these people because, unless they’re complete morons, any strategy they use will be enough to win.
The game is too high stakes so if you run out of money you have to wait hours for multiple free crates to attempt one race which usually ends in a loss. This could be easily fixed with a single player season mode instead of having only a single mode of dueling or even rewarding money based on grid position instead of winner takes all.
I’ve seen so many reviews that have the exact same problem as me, so there is clearly something wrong with the game and as soon as players realize the reality of it they will stop. This game could be so good with the amazing graphics and gameplay but right now it’s completely failing to live up to its potential.

Where do I even begin? I had high hopes for this update but I’m still back at square one. Advancing in this gam is gonna take serious cash. I’m not talking about 5,10, or even 20 bucks. It takes HUNDREDS to be even remotely competitive with the opposition. In what world does yuki tsunoda overtake an upgraded Fernando Alonso? Mach making at the begin is nowhere near consistent or even fair. You get put up with people that have the money to race the events while you struggle to even upgrade a driver. There is no variety to the reward crates you win and the daily spinner mini game is completely rigged. Either the game stops it early or late to avoid you getting a gold crate or better rewards. Gameplay: Absolute trash. How is it that even when I pit before my opponent and we have the same level, they leave the pit lane before I do and block my exit? And why is it I can’t overtake when clearly the guy in front of me has no tread in his tires left? How come my driver does wide turns even though hes on softs and gets overtaken by 2-4 cars? This gam is beyond frustrating and it’s clear it’s pay to play. Save yourself the trouble, frustration, and you finances boys because this here is hit garbage. I already deleted F1Clash .

Update 2 : let me explain how these crooks have coded for u to spend money.. so u need to have total points to win the game. U could be number 1, but they will get the opponent as number 2 and 3, whereas no matter how much u try, u can’t be 4th. U ll see the car hitting and getting stuck or literally stopping and letting the other people pass with a breeze. How much ever u try, u can’t win unless the script helps u. So basically these guys coded a game with scripts to make people spend money. BEWARE, don’t even spend a dollar so that this game gets shut down eventually.

Update : thanks for the response from the dev team, seems like they don’t understand either logic or math. When you have a person who is way powerful than u in both driver stats and cars, like 200 plus ( I have a pic proof of it ), which strategy would work? As I said again, your team lacks basic common sense.

This game is coded by crooks and frauds.. the game decides who wins and in the last min everything changes and make u lose. This game must be removed through Apple Team. I have played so many games which induce u to buy or make u spend real money to win. This game is the worst of all, absolutely worst game ever

...that being said, this is a real fun game. The graphics are anything but dull or terrible, the gameplay is awesome, and the details they put into the pit stops and racing circuits make this a phenomenal racing game to watch. In fact, you don’t even control the cars except for the pit stops and speeds.

One-on-one is really difficult when it comes to winning, BUT, I have had the most luck in winning the races with one of my f1s using hard tires while my other f1 is using soft tyres. I always have both of them on medium speed. This makes it so there is no moment where both of my cars are in the pits- one is racing while the other one’s getting new tyres.

I definitely see some improvement that’s being done currently to this game, and I think the selector for one-on-one races could be more focused on pairing you up with other races of your level/rank. This could be achieved through applying conditionals to the random selector.
Also, I do see how the overtakes the cars execute are committed via random coding and timing, but I think that’s not a good implement for people who are desperate for a win in this game.

....so do I think this is a good game? Absolutely. Anything branded with the name “Hutch” is guaranteed to be good. I also think this is a game that still could use some improvements, but other than that I have nothing else to say. Get it.

I’ve been playing this game for about two years and have spent a few hundred to make it more enjoyable. It’s clear you HAVE to pay to win. You’d think the people behind F1Clash would want to retain those that spend money. I’ve been ripped off by them twice now and there won’t be a third. First time was an app crash that messed up my purchase and I was still charged. Second time was with a pit pass… What they fail to make clear is that if you buy the pit pass Monday for the following week and event, it expires that night (same day) and you essentially paid for less than 24 hours of use. When you request a refund or them to just reissue it for that week, they say too bad so sad and go pound sand. Customer service is pathetic at best and very slimy. What does it really cost them to reactivate it for a user? ZERO! As I said, pathetic. Those don’t pay to play have reviews that they have zero shot at winning against those that pay. The game is rigged against you otherwise. Upgrades are useless, matchups are irrelevant. There is clearly some type of algo or rating system for users and it’ll be interesting if they ever get audited. I can see a class action suit in their future. I did give them one more star simply for the graphics. F1 looks terrible with what this developer is doing. Conceptually great, but seems like a scam. BEWARE AND PLEASE DON’T STUFF THEIR POCKETS AS THEY DO NOT DESERVE IT!

This used to be a great game. Starting in 2022 they developer focused on the “freemium” side and since then the amount of bugs and issues increases daily. Don’t believe me? go join the discord they suggest and start being part of the community that the developer ignores, insults, and blames for their misgivings. Is F1 a great franchise. Yes. But in the current form the game is unplayable and frustrating because of the developers lack of focus and unwillingness to fix major issues. UPDATE: They changed the coin economy to bankrupt players. Raised Cost of Duels and then claim they sent out 5 free crates to “compensate. It’s a total lie. The crates they sent don’t cover the cost of 1 race. They want you to spend actual money. It’s not free. Don’t believe Hutch’s propaganda. Game is 100% a loot-box. Developer is a fraud. Can’t even push out a simple update without creating 2-3 new bugs DO NOT DOWNLOAD. Every update pushes this game to being more Pay2Win than before. AVOID and DELETE.

UPDATE: Just checked to see if anything improved. Many long term players abandoned the game. There are drivers who have been sacked still represented in the game. There are no more Safety Cars because the developer obviously can’t fix the bugs they tried to fix with countless “hot fixes”. Re-deleted since it actually got worse. The developer should admit it’s over its head and destroyed what was once a entertaining game.

I initially enjoyed playing F1 Clash, but that quickly changed as I noticed some serious issues with the game. For starters, my opponents always seem to get a faster pit stop, which is locked behind a paywall that requires real money to get better eqipment. This puts players who don't want to spend real money at a huge disadvantage. Additionally, I frequently found myself matched up against players who were ranked higher than me, which made it even harder to compete. On the other hand, when I was matched up with players who were ranked lower than me, they would suddenly boost up at the start of the race and beat me (doesn't even notify you until the race starts and you can't make any changes), making the game feel unfair and frustrating.

The AI driving in the game is also terrible, as I had a better driver and car yet opponents with worse stats than mine would get around me with ease. Moreover, when you switch to a driver, the AI would often make mistakes and lose you positions, even if you have a better car and driver. Upgrading your driver does not seem to provide any significant benefits either, which is disappointing.

Overall, I would not recommend F1 Clash to anyone looking for a fair and enjoyable racing game. The game's constant paywall, unfair matchmaking, and terrible AI driving make it a frustrating experience that's not worth your time or money.
