Untrustworthy & shady Terms if Service

The Service Terms state that you give the royalty free worldwide rights to any images you upload to Trupic and any sub-licensee. So if the property inspection service hired by my insurance company asks me to take exterior and interior pictures of my home, google/apple/meta can pay to integrate these images into their maps forever. Not an acceptable business practice. Quote: including such Customer’s affiliates, employees and contractors (collectively, the “Licensed Parties”) a royalty-free, fully paid, non-exclusive, unrestricted, worldwide, sub-licensable, transferable license to use, transmit, process, display (but not publicly display without your consent), create derivative works from, adapt, modify, make copies thereof and retain (collectively, “Use”) such User Data for Truepic’s business purposes (including without limitation, for purposes of providing services to or for Truepic’s Customer Using your User Data, and developing, improving, testing, operating, promoting and marketing Truepic’s current and future products and services).

Need location on???

Why do you need your location on to take photos. It’s really no one’s business where I take my photos to submit them. Will not recommend this at all due to that function.

Hard to Handel

This annoying app would not let me choose the photos I wanted to use but insisted on others which do not fit the situation.
My advice avoid this if at all possible!
Never again!

Who owns this app, TikTok?

Actually no, it’s a company called EXL Holdings. The are an AI analytics company and you’d be foolish to allow them to use TruepicVision to collect massive amounts of your personal data to feed into their AI engine for the purpose of making decisions about you. There are no terms to limit what they can do with your data once they are in possession of the data. If you voluntarily give them this data, you’re screwed.

Simple - For Giving away your information

Read all the terms and privacy policy. This is fine for a fender bender to send photos. Using it for a home inspection opens up the possibility that someone has a full picture of your home to includes safes, brands and maybe the location of the safe in the home if you take the photo wrong? Whose side is my insurance company on here?

Do you have Customer Service or not?

I used TruepicVision to apply for a service that did not work out. Now I am requesting to have all of my photos deleted and my account closed only I keep reaching out to customer service through TruepicVision email, and getting no response. How do I get a live person??????? it’s unethical to ignore your customers and their requests.

App doesn’t even work

Click a link, it goes to the browser. The browser says it’ll open in TruepicVision , but it only ever takes you to TruepicVision Store. It’s impossible to just paste the link into TruepicVision itself because I guess that’s too hard?

Hot garbage. Fix TruepicVision that does NOTHING or stop exclusively partnering with other sites.

Awful.

TruepicVision doesn’t work with the link and they expect you to try from multiple devices. There’s not an actual person to talk to just an email address that sends directions for steps that don’t work or resolve the issues with their broken links. I’m just trying to hire employees not get a degree in IT.

Horrible interface, deliberately dysfunctional

Absolutely atrocious application. Doesn’t support hardware click (volume up button on iPhones). Doesn’t support wide or zoom lenses on iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Im supposed to get a picture of the entire side of my house in one shot? Sure, if I trespass on my neighbor’s property. Wants me to to take a picture of the heating system in the attic and the electrical panel with the panel open. Sure, why not ask for a picture of the roof and solar panels taken while skydiving too!

Ridiculous, broken app that deliberately breaks the user internet and ignores high quality lenses on modern smartphone cameras. The terms and conditions are pretty atrocious too. Just have a property survey professional come out. They’re welcome to climb into the attic, under the house, on the roof, etc. (assuming they’re sufficiently insured).

Terrible

Required to use this for Jewelers Mutual. Enable all permissions but yet it keeps telling me my camera is disabled. I have even gone out of TruepicVision and checked it through settings and everything is enable. Have deleted and reinstalled. Have even tried it on another iPhone and iPad.

USAA Inspection

The inspection via an app is far from professional. For a company we pay a premium for, they can be out doing this work themselves - they know what they want. Their are too many competitive options in insurance agencies with competitive rates to make a joke out of this inspection.

Issues with the app. I’m going in circles

When I try to open TruepicVision I keep on getting this message and it takes me in circles back and forth “Please update to the latest vision camera app to proceed” anyone know how this works? I’m going in circles here.

Vision Camera

No instructions on how to take additional pictures - it’s initially intuitive to click on “finish” after your first photo - however if you do, you get taken out of TruepicVision . You need to click on the camera with the plus sign that is attached to your last photo - attaching it to the last photo makes no sense to me

No wide angle option

My insurance company required that I use TruepicVision to take pictures of the interior of an insured property. Since TruepicVision doesn’t support the wide angle lens on iPhones, it’s very difficult to capture useful images of small rooms.

Not very intuitive

Buttons to go backward or forward are small and hard to see

First time user

Very easy to navigate.

Exactly what we need!

I love the process, it tells me what it wants and I give it.

Ted

Easy peasy

I thought this would be complicated but it was simple w very understandable instructions

So easy and seamless to use!

The inspection took under a minute and was very user friendly.

Quick and easy

Very easy to use.

First, can you trust an app that does not work if client side security is in place? Second, I'm convinced my phone has been compromised since I used the app. I am still investigating.
