Pretty Unusable App

I was excited to learn of TurnoHosts, but until they can get everything in it to run and display more smoothly, I recommend just sharing the Airbnb calendar directly with your cleaner. Remember that anyone can add your Airbnb calendar to their Google or Microsoft or iOS calendar with that same URL that you copy and paste into TurnoverBnB.

Paying through them would cost entirely too much. 5% is VERY HIGH, and really would add up after a year. I think that 3% would be a much more reasonable number, since most transaction costs run about 1-1.5%. And, I assume (though I don’t know for sure) they charge the cleaning person a percentage on the back-end as well.

Finding a cleaning person for me was very easy (just looked on Craigslist), interviewed a few and when I made my decision, I simply had her download Google Calendar and add my calendar URL’s. Been working perfectly for about a month now.

A nice idea gone bad

It seemed like such a cool app, I couldn’t wait to try it. We chatted with our primary cleaner for several days to make sure she understood everything, and then we added some back up Cleaners. When the day came, our primary cleaner decided to increase the price from the agreed-upon $80… To $180! I’m not joking. So of course she was gone and we moved to a back up cleaner. He agreed to come clean the cabin and then a couple hours later texted and said, “I’m not going to clean your cabin after all“. Wow, we were shocked and dismayed with no one to clean the cabin. So we called our second back up and she agreed to come immediately. And then she never came! You can’t make this stuff up.

So it’s a nice idea for an app but somehow it attracts the most unreliable undependable cleaners in the area. I strongly suggest you use the old-fashioned system of getting referrals.

Frustrating Experience: Canceled Cleaning and No Notification

I had a very disappointing experience with Turno that I feel compelled to share. When a previous guest canceled their booking, the cleaning associated with that booking was automatically canceled as well, despite the fact that I needed it to remain. I received no notifications about this cancellation, so when my new guests checked in, they found the property dirty, which is unacceptable for a Superhost.

To make matters worse, I had to issue a full refund to the guests, resulting in a significant financial loss. I reached out to Turno to request a credit toward a future cleaning to help offset this loss, but they refused to accommodate my request. This lack of communication and support has left me frustrated, and I can no longer rely on Turno for my cleaning needs.

I would advise potential users to be cautious, as the lack of notification and support can lead to significant issues.

Lost star w lame cancellation policy

Used TurnoHosts to work with a cleaning service for 2 properties, mainly for the calendar and scheduling purposes. It worked for that, but I was constantly needing to tweak the calendar as it was defaulting on certain settings that had a hard time keeping up with changes that we had to make for covid scheduling reasons thru Airbnb. Support never could figure it out, so we just adjusted to make it work. Like the payment option, but didn’t need it while working with only one cleaning service.

We recently switched cleaners. The new service does not use Turnoverbnb. We missed the window to cancel service since we aren’t using TurnoHosts any longer. When I saw the $144 charge on my account, I contacted support and asked to have it removed. They pointed me to a small print policy that says they won’t give a refund (even though I was within minutes of auto renewal fee). We’ll just call a wasted $144 even for this meh Review. Thanks for the unnecessary charge.

Useful app but still has some kinks

I agree with other reviews-it’s a great concept/app but I also have struggled with the usability-it’s not the most user friendly app-difficult to navigate around and make changes without the need of customer support. Certain functions are only available on the desktop version which is not ideal. The menu options should be more fine tuned with all options for navigation and operations/directions given for all available options. On the other hand, customer service is great-Ruby was a huge help to figure out my issues and a pleasure to work with. I wish there was a number to call though-I don’t mind chat but it takes so much longer than just talking to someone.

Awesome customer service

I just started using turnover bnb. I found an awesome cleaner so I am very grateful for that. I, like other people have mentioned, don’t think TurnoHosts is user friendly. That’s the reason for the 4 stars. I reached out to customer support many times and each time my issue was resolved. A lot of times, they fix the issue for you instead of sending you a link that tells you how to do things. I like that a lot. You ask the question, they say “yep! That setting can be changed. I have changed it for you” and then it’s all done! I have chatted with Bela, Gillian, and Mia at this point and they have all been awesome. They are real people who answer the chats and you don’t have to go through a bunch of questions with a robot. You just say you want to talk to a person and then a minute later, you are!

Turno

I love the concept of streaming the process of hiring cleaners for hosts and cleaners finding work. TurnoHosts can be confusing at first and need to really take some time to navigate at times. With this said, customer service through TurnoHosts is always responsive and I’ve gotten good service from many support staff including my last chat with Kassie. She was timely, respectful and while she didn’t know all the answers, she was able to find out the problem and followed back up with me. At times I wish we could just talk on the phone and be done, but chat is the only option.

I’ve been using Turno as a host for about a year now and have been happy with the service. I’m leaving this review because today I feel that they went above and beyond. I had to delete and reconnect my management software for various reasons and when I tried to resync it with Turno there was a technical bug. The engineering team addressed the issue within hours and fixed it. I coordinated this through Claire who is a senior support specialist and she was fantastic. She was proactive, helpful, knowledgeable, and above all, kind. Thank you Claire and the engineering team, I am very grateful for your prompt response and favorable outcome!

Saves me a ton of work (and $$) managing my rentals!

I self-manage 3 rental properties in South Florida besides working on my full-time job and TurnoHosts is like my #1 assistant!
There are so many things TurnoverBnb does automatically: it syncs my Airbnb bookings and creates cleaning projects based on my preferences and lets cleaners know exactly when they need to clean for the next guest. Notifications and in-app chat also help me communicate with my cleaner and let me know of any issues/problems that may come up.
I estimate my monthly savings in property management fees are far more than the subscription cost and my time savings is at least 15-20 hrs in planning, scheduling and communication.
Highly recommended!

Happy Host

Turno is a great app that makes getting your properties taken care of and paying your cleaners stress free! Wish I had started using it sooner. Their support is amazing too. I was assigned a tech support in the beginning, Emma, she has been a huge help with learning how to use TurnoHosts and correcting any issues right away. She called to introduce herself and explain things within a couple of hours of creating my account. Later I messaged support about getting my cleaner paid, they sent info she could try to resolve it, but later Emma emailed me explaining what I needed to do (it was error on my part). I really liked how she checked into it and got right back to me on what needed done so I was able to get her paid. Subscribed immediately after this!

Life saver!

I love that I found TurnoHosts. We just started Airbnb. I was going to turn it over myself, but with two small kids, that was a nightmare. I found Turno and things are running much more smoothly! I list my unit, and cleaners bid their price to clean. Then you add the ones you like to your own team. Your team then schedules themselves on the days they want to work. Honestly, why aren’t all jobs like this? What a great idea.

Now the annoying part is just trying learn all of TurnoHosts feature, and some of TurnoHosts glitches. After you post your home for bids, cleaners from a wide radius can bid ( no direct address is shared), and I had cleaners scheduled that lived hours away who decided not to show up because of how far it was. I also had a cleaner deleted from my team, and trying to re-add her was impossible. I had to wait an hour to talk to customer service (very nice by the way) and they got it resolved on my end, but on her end she couldn’t pick up work.

TurnoHosts is still well worth the quirks, especially when you find your team of people you trust. It really takes a lot of the stress and anxiety off of your shoulders. Would recommend to anyone needing to outsource cleaning!

Support rep Vance came in clutch!

Had a cleaner cancel for unforeseen circumstances on a Saturday morning with a new 4 day guest arriving later that day. I operate remotely from another state so it created an urgent situation. I have a “Primary” cleaner and 3 backups on my team. My primary was out of town and this was a backup who cancelled. Reached out to other 2 and both out of town for Christmas. Now panic sets in as time is flying by. Opened a chat with support at this point and Vance and his team went to work immediately to help me find a reliable & most importantly, available cleaner quickly! Together we found one and they were only 3 miles away and available and did a very quick and very thorough job! Like I said, Turno and Vance came in clutch when I needed it most! Thanks team!

Outstanding App and Service

I am a travel nurse and Airbnb my home when I am away. TurnoHosts has been a life saver for us having to keep up with bookings and cleanings. We found our cleaner on here who is phenomenal and TurnoHosts makes it so convenient to alert her of our bookings. It syncs with Airbnb and VRBO which we have both. Once the clean is listed which is within minutes, my cleaner is alerted and able to accept the clean right away. It makes it a seamless process and we don’t have to make a bunch of calls and remind a cleaner that it needs to be cleaned. It’s layed out in a way where she knows it there is another check in that same day so she is able to plan her day as well.
It is also very convenient and easy to get in touch with a real person if there are any issues. We had one issue with a payment processing and were able to get in contact through TurnoHosts to a live agent. Claire was amazing and got us through, fixing the problem within minutes. She was polite and understanding. That is a big plus in this day of automated services. I am very grateful for the development of TurnoHosts. We would not be able to handle our cleans as effectively as we are with this service.

TurnoHosts has been a great tool. I was able to find a great cleaner that I can trust with my properties, but it’s also a great scheduling tool to keep track of each time my cleaner needs to come in and clean. I have a calendar linked to the account so everytime a booking comes through, the system automatically creates a cleaning project that is pushed to my cleaners team. I usually have a checklist attached to the project, and inventory, this way I make sure the cleaner never missed a spot and I know when yo restock toiletries etc. The cleaners can also report problems that might be found throughout the property which is a great feature. I never had any issues with the cleaners missing a job and most importantly my guests are always satisfied with a spotless place to stay. Definitely recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Good app, great service

TurnoHosts itself is pretty good. Some of the features you have to do on a browser, or our best on the desktop. hopefully future updates to TurnoHosts will address all these issues and make it more user-friendly. As far as the customer service support for when you do run into issues figuring out how to use TurnoHosts , it is amazing! Both service reps seem to be American-based, or at least their English language skills are flawless. They understand what you are asking & respond promptly with the complete detailed answer. I am really impressed by this. The last customer service rep I had, Mary, was especially great as she gave really good, rapid-fire prompt explanations for everything I asked about and ensured I had all my questions and concerns addressed before we ended the chat session.

Turno and Emma

Turno is a lifesaver! I’m a military serviceman that has an Airbnb B and 90% of the time I am able to take care of my listing but when I go out in town for job related training or even vacation, I definitely need to know to help me keep my Airbnb guests taken care of! I found myself in a dilemma while in the middle of training out of town and Emma, the service rep, jumped right to action! She was able to reestablish me with my OG cleaner and was able to set my mind at ease and making sure that my guests will be ok! I can’t thank 😝 Emma enough for all of her expertise. In this matter she helped me focus and really pay attention to my out here while allowing me to have an automated Airbnb! Turn is one of the best things that has happened to the gig economy, as well as helping hosts be that much more better! I can’t thank 😝 Emma enough and for all the work that they’re doing she could’ve been just any old representative and giving me lack of service, but my issues were handled in literally five minutes! Thank you so much Turno!

The customer support is the best part.

We still have yet to even fully integrate turno with all our properties/really use it to its full advantage; we’re total noobs— but one thing I can say is their customer support through chat has always been outstanding and is one thing I really love about this product and would recommend. A few times now I’ve had some very specific questions or issues, and almost right away you get a REAL PERSON who will talk with you about it. Yes, an actually real person who knows the service, its capabilities and how it works, and can actually answer your questions!!! Every conversation I’ve had with the support team so far has been very helpful and informative. Big shoutout to the whole support team, seriously. And thank you to Sally who was patient with me and helped me with my most recent issue/my questions! I always feel like I can directly reach out to this team to get my questions answered, even if it’s small or stupid, whenever I’m confused. They know their stuff and will help you!

Saving time, money and sanity!

I work for a company in Colorado Springs that manages short term rentals and TurnoHosts has saved us time, money, and our sanity! We no longer have to pay someone to manage our housekeeper’s schedules and making sure that all turnovers are covered. TurnoHosts is great and whenever we come across an issue, the customer support has been amazing. Tonight for example, my cleaners weren’t able to see any turnovers on their calendars. I reached out to customer support…I can’t say enough about the incredible experience I had with Emma from Turno’s customer support. From the moment I reached out for help, she was not only professional but also genuinely dedicated to resolving my issue. Emma spent hours working tirelessly, going above and beyond to troubleshoot and ensure everything was working perfectly. Her patience, thorough knowledge, and problem-solving skills made what could have been a stressful experience into a smooth and positive one. Key part of my business!

For the start of my Airbnb business I wasn’t using Turno and it was frustrating to keep up with everything. On top of that having to manually pay cleaners takes extra unnecessary time out of my busy schedule. As a Co-host I also had to chase the homeowners to make sure they paid the cleaners. It was a process… BUT I found Turno and things have become so seamless 🙏🏽. At first TurnoHosts /website can be tricky to get used to but Turno is totally worth it once you get through the learning curve. I think I contacted their customer service messaging team like 10 times already (lol) and every single conversation has saved me SO much time and so many gray hairs. The customer service team has given me so much peace of mind. Only down fall I can express is that our cleaners can’t manually input what we owe them for laundry drop off. Since our cleaners drop off the laundry to a local laundromat it leaves a gap in the automation process and we have to manually add in a “linen delivery”. Not the end of the world but I hope Turno adds in this feature. The following customer service teammates have helped me this far. Mia, Samantha, Grazi, and Sidney ! Thank you all !!

Solid app. Great customer service.

TurnoHosts and range of services Turno provides is pretty solid. But better still is the customer service chat and employees. I’ve never waited more than 2 mins to be connected with a live agent and each time they’ve expertly figured out the problem from my very first message, and solved my issues within minutes. It’s really rare to experience that with customer service these days. My most recent experience was earlier today with an agent named Riley who was super helpful.

As far as issues with TurnoHosts , I don’t like how often it redirects to the web version and the glitches often associated with updating checklists. It could also be more user friendly. Creating and editing projects is pretty smooth though.
