One Second: Daily Movie Diary Reviews

I’ve been using the free 1 second for 4 months now, taking a picture of my boyfriend and I every day and I was going to use it as an anniversary gift to him but now it won’t let me add any more photos without paying a monthly or forever fee. Some of the photos I don’t have saved on my phone because they were saved on OneSecond and there is no way to save the photos that have been uploaded to 1 second so I’m really sad my gift isn’t going to work and not sure what to do. I had no idea I’d only have a limited time to use the free version. I was content with just being able to upload a picture and not a 2 or longer clip and not have music because it was such an easy app but I’m very disappointed it stopped working and definitely won’t be recommending OneSecond to anyone.

I liked that the upgrade has clearer video and more variety with music. However, I feel the upgrade is slower to load, smaller pictures (went from square to rectangle), still cannot select more than one song to fill a whole year of video time line. Also, it no longer has the option to select certain dates. So the project I did last year is now interfering with my project this year. Please fix that part as it is super frustrating since it used to be there but no longer an option. Overall not a fan of the upgrades and made it harder in some respects to get what you want.

I downloaded 1 Second to document my experiences during my first year of college. It only let me add up to three weeks of photos until it prompted me to upgrade to continue adding media. I paid for a yearly subscription. However, this changed nothing within OneSecond , and it still prompts me to upgrade to continue. I was fine with only being able to upload a 1-second clip as opposed to a 2- or 3-second one, but this is just frustrating. Upon trying to contact OneSecond developer about this issue, the site leads me to a blank page with no contact information. My only option left now is to delete OneSecond and use a different one.

Last year it made the most awesome video. This year I stayed on top of it each day until I had to upgrade phones and it lost nine months of pictures. I’ve been trying to add them back in to get a video done for 2019 and it will only let me add 2 weeks now under the free version. I’m only using photos, not video clips so I’m not sure why it’s defaulting me to upgrade each time I try. I loved OneSecond last year. I’m so bummed this year on the changes that I can’t seem to figure out what I’m doing wrong or where they highlighted that upgrading is mandatory after so many weeks. So bummed. I’m giving up and trying a different app.

I got OneSecond to track the first year of my baby’s life. At first I loved it, but by the time the first year was over I was ready to switch apps!

Problems I encountered:
1) When my phone abruptly died and I had to get a new one OneSecond did not save any of my project. I had to re-enter all of the past 4 months of photos into OneSecond again.
2) I could only work on one project at a time. No way to document more than one kid.
3) In literally the last week before my kid turned 1 I updated my iOS and sure enough- I couldn’t add any more photos for some reason. This was September 2019. I currently cannot add that last week and so I’m switching to 1 second everyday and hoping I can smash the videos together. Very frustrating.

The good things about OneSecond is that it’s easy to use and you can pair music, add dates and descriptions, and pick pictures or videos from 1-3 seconds. But this is not the only app that can do those things so I would suggest trying another.

I’ve been using OneSecond for about a year. It’s easy to use and serves its purpose well. There was an issue a few days ago with OneSecond , so I emailed support. I received a quick response back that they were working on it and it would be fixed within a day or two. And, true to their word, everything was updated and working again.

I too was forced to buy it after filling approximately 5 months. Now I’m 8 months in and I can no longer make custom length movies; the dates come up blank. There’s no update, so it appears glitchy but is feeling more like a scam. Disappointing Bc I loved OneSecond

I bought this because I felt like the other 1sec everyday app was too expensive but I wish I would have gone with the other one now. This one is seems like if it were properly working that’d it’d be easy to use, however, it hasn’t worked once!! I cant see any of my video or photo choice for any day except for here and there. And I cant find a way to contact the company to ask for help or a refund. Complete scam and a complete waste of money. This should be illegal. Highway robbery to charge $7 bucks per month and you don’t get to use the product at all!

I paid for the subscription and it was doing great. Got my videos and music added easily. It’s so cute to watch all your videos come together!
Unfortunately with their new update now OneSecond glitches a lot. The music won’t play the songs you select. They have a full library of music and OneSecond is stuck playing the same song over and over. Disappointed that it happened right after I paid for the pro.

i am so frustrated because i was finally getting my video movie together, and then an add popped up saying i could no longer add videos unless i paid for a subscription. there was no warning about having to pay for this. i would always look forward to putting in my videos and seeing it all come together, but i guess that’s not going to happen. maybe put a more clear heads up for your customers so they don’t enjoy using your app and then abruptly have that taken away. thanks for nothing but more tears on my pillow. have a nice day.

I do not honestly give a five star review, I cannot judge OneSecond yet. It requires you as a five star review to ad photos after the first few. In my opinion, an app that must steal a review is probably pretty cruddy. I will give it a try, but I’m thinking I should just spend the $5 and get the original that OneSecond is copying!

I love OneSecond and the ability to use pictures or videos in my yearly video. However, I have bought the pro level and when making my video it won’t play the music to the video like it’s supposed to. I have gone to the developers website to try to contact them about the issue but when I click to contact them nothing pulls up on the website. Pictures and videos playing without the music ability I paid for is not worth it.

I’ve used OneSecond for the entire year and it’s been great, but now, I’m trying to add pictures and every time I click on the picture for that day, OneSecond crashes and closes. Seems like there aren’t any updates and I REALLY don’t want to lose the pictures and videos I’ve already set up for every day so far. Just frustrating because it worked so well for such a long time.

Really enjoying this and looking back at the months! Wish that you didn’t have to pay for extra seconds for each day (1 second is a little bit short), however still enjoying it!

They give you access to a free song if you leave them a 5 star review. Otherwise you have to pay. If you have OneSecond get ready to be bombarded by a million ads every time you click a button. Consider yourself warned.

What happened?? I was happy and had purchased premium. I was able to see the saved clips even when they were no longer saved on my phone, and was also able to select a custom timeframe. Why in the world would you take this out of the update? Those were two excellent features. Very unhappy. If this is the case, I would like my money back and going to another similar app.

I love the idea of making little videos of one second of your day for each month. I didn’t pay for OneSecond so the constant commercials are a little annoying but otherwise a good app

I am so disappointed in OneSecond. I have filled in 4 months worth of videos and now it’s making me upgrade to continue filling in the rest of the year. These are videos I uploaded to OneSecond and have since deleted from my phone so now all those memories are just gone unless I upgrade, which I didn’t know I was going to be forced to do. I’m extremely disappointed and will not be using OneSecond anymore.

It worked well until three month and then it makes me pay either 3 dollars per month or 10 dollars forever if I want to add pictures. Also when it shows what photos you took that day you try to tap on it and it kicks you out of OneSecond ! So you have to go into camera from OneSecond and find it I’m not very happy and would recommend a different one second if you aren’t willing to pay and will be happy with your purchase.

Sure it has a few ads but this is exactly what I wanted without paying anything. I started on New Year’s and have taken a video every day to put in here. It has a clear easy UI and so far I have loved it.

So far I like OneSecond. Lots of ads but not to expensive to get rid of them. I only wish it would register Live Photos like some of the other apps.

I somehow missed the fact that the 1S app has a time limit on the free version. I was super content to capture my 1 second everyday without any bells or whistles. Not even a month into the “free” version and my video project is being held captive for money. Why did you waste my time? I would’ve found a 1 second app that was actually free to do this project had I known from the start that you were going to shut me down less than a month in. 😒

I really enjoyed using OneSecond. I even paid the $10 to continue to use it when my free time expired. I have 10 months of photos in there and can’t open OneSecond . I really hope they are just having technical difficulties right now and it will open tomorrow. I’m afraid to delete and reinstall and lose all my pics. Would have been 5 stars if I wasn’t having this problem now.
