MAPP needs to be updated so you can use MAPP in. I did a horizontal or landscape position.
I do not use MAPP for logs if it werent for DOT coordinators i wouldnt use at all.
no update when you actually need it because MAPP has been down for over a week now…

Another stupid app. Union jobs should just use contract services. If the driver is in good standings, then game on. Another thing to do in a already busy day.
Why so many updates ? Almost every time I log in I need to update MAPP . What are you doing ? It’s very untrustworthy !
MAPP is awful, my mobile banking is easier to access especially if I’m in a low cellular area. Do not recommend
Are you going to ever get MAPP up and running again?
MAPP freezes ALL THE TIME. What should take 2 minutes takes 20. Make a change to the grid, MAPP freezes and has to be redone after hitting submit. Make a change to the location, MAPP freezes and has to be redone after hitting submit. Want to certify the log? MAPP freezes and has be for closed after hitting submit. Every single thing, MAPP freezes. May as well just go back to paper
This site was made up to create more bureaucracy in the motion picture industry. These made up positions of DOT coordinators are a joke. These people don’t even have a commercial license and yet they are supposed to be specialists. Even better is that they don’t even keep you on file so every job that you do with the few companies that require it you end up having to fill out the same info. Don’t even get me started on the fact that they aren’t union members. Also, per the state and DOT regulation says with in 100 miles radius we are not required to do logs!
Not very user-friendly
I try to log in but it says I’m not in the system. Then I go to sign up it shows that I’m in the system. Something is wrong with MAPP .
Overall MAPP isn’t bad. It’s easy to do logs on the go but two things are bothersome…
1) time restraints prevent you from completing logging. For example; come mid-day Sunday I go in and want to mark “Off Duty” for the weekend and can’t until after midnight because technically Sunday isn’t over! That should be overwritten when logging off duty.
2) often times production shoots at night and we will continue to work past midnight. So still to this day, I can’t figure out how to complete a shift that carries through to the next day, especially when I clock in later that same day on my next shift.
Lastly, those of us in the movie industry weren’t required to log when remaining within 100 miles of production, so why are we even doing these now?
You really need to work on the editing function if MAPP . Trying to change anything takes forever and doesn’t always work. Other than that, I love the convenience.
Saved me a ton of time after I signed up since it kept my information and transferred when I moved shows. Pretty cool. Just have to get through the initial sign up and I was all set. Faster and easier then paper!
