Huge disappointment

I decided to download this app because I thought it would be great to have in case of emergencies. I turned out to be horribly wrong. This app is nothing but a sick and twisted form of torture. You can have your phone on silent and everything but this app will still go off. And what makes it worse is that it’s not a normal type of notification. This notification will be a deafening siren type of screen like a war is about to start. This siren has woken me up multiple times throughout the night for the same notification that I have clear. One notification for anything will go off at least four time but they will be a couple of hours apart. So you will have no chance of peace. One of my ears are damaged because they of this app. And I almost wrecked my car once this morning because of it. This app is supposed to save your life but instead it puts you in danger. If you really want to be safe just download an app for your local news and weather channels. You will get the same notifications. They will just be a lot less detrimental to your wellbeing. Please don’t download this app. I do not want anyone else to experience what I have. Your experience might be a lot worse and no app is worth your life. Or you physically or mental well-being. I wish you all the best. Thank you

Cluttered, confusing

The app is cluttered and confusing. I expected to find the latest info on a impending tropical storm and advice on what to do, instead i got a video of a bunch of people praying before saying it was up to me to make my own plan. Way to go for the advice from “the experts” Kinda sums up SC government’s lack of response to everything - we don’t care, go figure it out yourself.

Meh.

Let’s start with that I appreciate the SC Emergency Management website and team. This app can be used to see what government offices are closed. It does not provide updates that are helpful during storms. For updates you need to go to twitter or read news. Will remove from my phone and just check website/twitter.
