Weather forecast & NOAA Radar Reviews

I downloaded Weather about 3 weeks ago and for the most part, I really like it. My only complaint is the radar. The radar doesn’t distinguish between rain and snow, doesn’t show different intensities of precipitation and doesn’t have a precipitation color intensity legend bar. In fact, there’s been a couple of times it hasn’t shown any precipitation, when it was snowing and/or raining. Other than the radar precipitation issue, this is a really good app. It’s very good looking and colorful, accurate and gives you all the pertinent information that you need to know. I really hope that you can improve the radar precipitation issue!!! If you can do that, you’ll have a 5 star app that’s second to none. I’ll be waiting for your app update,to fix the radar precipitation issue. Thanks again for your help with this issue and I hope that I can give you a 5 star rating, in the very near future. After using Weather for almost 6 months, I have found that a number of locations are not found when you try to add them. This seems to be the only this app app I’ve tried that seems to have this problem. I’m glad I didn’t spend any money on this thing before testing it out thoroughly. Granted, it is a very good looking app and provides a lot of good info for locations it can find, but all in all useless if it can’t find simple locations such as Cheyenne Wyoming, Casper Wyoming, Prudhoe Bay Alaska, just to name a few. Yes, Prudhoe Bay Alaska is also known as Deadhorse Alaska, but if one would not know this they would probably give up on that location. It should actually be found under both names!!! If you look at any of the other reviews where the reviewer is critical of Weather, note that the developers response (if any at all) is this almost copy and paste...not very helpful!!! Like I state in the subject line, “there are better” this app apps available!!!

Closest thing to what this app underground used to be. After their new update they destroyed a perfect app. I tested all the other apps and this was the best organized. It has most of what you want to see up front and easy to see. The forecast graph is the best of all the current apps, but barely tolerable compared to the old this app Underground. The bigger gripe is that all the times run together, so if your vision isn’t 20/20 it’s too difficult and you really have to spend too much energy separation the time. It’s a graph put the rain percentages in as a visual instead of numbers. Everything is ten times easier and faster to see and comprehend when it’s a visual. Otherwise you might as well be looking at a spreadsheet and be like every other app out there. Copy the old this app Underground and you’ll be the best app BY FAR.

I’ve used many this app apps since my first iPhone. Sometimes I would have several apps because none of them were completely useful. Weather is different, it has all that I want and more.
I don’t usually give ratings but Weather is very good.
Since Steve Jobs died, I’ve seen the quality of apps decline and some programmers get greedy by making you pay several times for their apps. This would never have been condoned by Mr Jobs.
As a programmer, he would expect them to build something new instead of milking people for improvements.
Again I think Weather is very good.

Don’t bother with Weather! It could be a really nice app, but this guys GREED got in the way!! I have no problem with dropping a few bucks for a descendant app. However, this guy demands a subscription! And it ain’t cheap either! What a rip off! He writes a short program, with no maintenance to speak of, and still he demands -10 buck a month! Weather pulls data from publicly accessible sites, he has no investment at all! Are you kidding me? It’s not like it’s Carrot this app or something! (the Rolls Royce of this app apps) It’s not even close! At least with Carrot this app you get what you pay for and even it’s not as pricey as Weather is. Again, I would gladly pay a couple of bucks as a one time purchase for Weather, but there is absolutely no reason for it to be subscription based other than greed. There are much better this app apps out there at much more reasonable prices!

This thing will pester you to death for a review. Even after you buy it. Very irritating. I will update this after I use it a while longer. I like the this app part of app so far but is being overshadowed by constant begging for a review. I was waiting to see if anymore ads show up after buying Weather , before I wrote a review.

The main requirement in a this app app, to me, is that it show accurate this app. The temperature should be a no brainer for any app. The CURRENT temperature should be accurate. Within one or two degrees of other apps. Two or three weeks ago Weather started showing wrong temps. When compared to other apps, it’s around 6 or 7 degrees warmer. I can tell when it’s in the 30’s and Weather is showing 46. It was very accurate up until the last few weeks. What happened folks? This simply won’t work for me. I hope you fix it soon.

Weather is OK with the potential to be very good, but it has some bugs that need to be fixed. The radar map doesn’t work and there are very few locations that can be looked up, although it does pick up my local this app data.

I don’t know if the developer is serious about maintaining Weather either. I’ve sent a message about the problems along with some ways I think the display can be improved but haven’t heard back, so I don’t know if the developer just wants to make a few bucks and never improve on what’s here.

If bugs are fixed and improvements made I would give this 4.5 stars but right now I can’t go any higher than 2 stars because there doesn’t seem to be any interest from the developer to fix the bugs or improve the display.

Was an okay app at first. Some problems with location services (based on my physical location, I would often get forecasts for “my location” that was actually several hundred miles away). Then the ad banners started. I was able to put up with the ads, and the location detection got better. This last change now strips away existing features and places them behind a pay wall. The only advantage of Weather (vs my other sources) was the ability to quickly check out the this app in the various locations I had saved. Without this feature, Weather is much less useful than my other app choices. An additional note: I could customize winds to display in mph, kph, or m/s—whereas wind is usually expressed in knots (at least by people who are keenly interested in the wind).

Simple main display tells you immediately what the this app is... with no waiting and no ads. Scroll down and there’s everything from humidity to precipitation amount to wind. Tap a button and there’s an hour-by-hour of all those details for the day. Tap another button and get that information for any day in the week to come. Swipe and get the same info for any location in the country, and for most in the world.
UI takes a little getting used to, but it’s intuitive.
And did I mention it’s fast? Faster than any other this app app I’ve used.
Would have been 5 star review, except deducted one star for needy “have you reviewed me yet?” dialog box.

From what I had seen and from how this is used for, I can honestly say that this is one of the best if not the very best app I have used so far. It has everything I ever need to see and used so far. And when it says it is raining cats and dogs right now, you better believe it. I do not know how to make algorithms like this works, but it does. Weather is simple and easy to use, I hope the programmer just update the widget or radar as he goes and improve on it as necessary when the time comes but not yet. I have not seen any quirks so far. I am impressed.

This this app app is awesome! It has an easy to use format and is very accurate. It shows the difference in this app in the next town so I know what to expect when I need to go out. It keeps me up to date with all the local or other areas that family members live in so I am aware of any incoming storms. It does not have a bunch of adds that distract me from checking my this app. It has saved me the time and inconvenience of watching the this app channel. Thank you for making such a interesting and informative app for the this app!

Presents this app with great charts and written info with iPhone 6s. You can select “more info” and it kicks you to a detailed written description of the day by hour. Includes various types of info, but wish it also included moon phases. Has some quirks with “loading data” and “add a location”. If your phone is linked to your iPad, so that new apps installed on your phone automatically populate into your iPad then it seems you must un-install Weather on the iPad then install directly to the iPad for it to work or it just spins with “loading data”. Was a Wunderground user for years but Weather tops it.

Yes, just recently required you map. Like most of the different conditions that a person can get. One thing I would like to see would be the map show movement of the clouds and spots in the clouds with different colors indicating the severity of the storm or snow fall. Which would run over after a few hours, past and future. Now, I do have others this app maps, and one has a wonder move of clouds and rain, storms moving around the country. Very positive with this, only would like to see motions . Dennis KAlivoda.

I’ve tried a lot of different this app apps & this one stands out by far. The detail is fantastic. You don’t have to be a meteorologist to appreciate all that has been brought to Weather. The layout is beautiful, and easy to navigate. I feel one of the best attributes is you’re not charged for the extra details like other apps. You get a full 7 day forecast with all the bells and whistles without being forced to “upgrade” to enjoy it. This guy is a genius & I for one am a new fan.

I really like how you can customize this with different locations and receive radar with color-coded temperature, graphic wind depictions, and even a little graphic on the forecast page with modern wind turbines rolling according to the wind speed!
The 4/5 rating is for two reasons:
1- My home place name does not show up, it only gives (), State.
2- You can’t see the favorite cities in a list, only page-by-page. My family often sends a screenshot of comparisons of our current this app conditions, and it’s not available (yet?) in Weather.
Otherwise, great! Seems accurate, as well.

I am anticipating the mothership assimilating another this app app into its subscription (revenue maximizing) services and have been looking for another reliable this app app that will not be tied to the DS API. I do not know if Weather satisfies this completely, but it does provide the forecasting info I need to plan my day accordingly. The GI is useful and easy to “navigate” if more detail is desired. And so far, no bugs, snags or hang ups (even when updating the OS). All of this at a fare price and NO subscription needed.

I have been using the this app Channel App for several years. Over time, Weather just got worse and worse. Weather froze frequently, it had a ton of ads, and pushed its bias thoughts on its users. So I decided to seek a different app to replace it. I downloaded 5 apps. Through process of elimination, I kept Weather. It has nice graphics, it is by far the most accurate, it was able to find the city I live in. It gives me all the information I need in able to plan my days. I Ike it a lot!

This is one of the better apps I’ve tried since WeatherUnderground butchered Storm and Intellicast. I like the flexibility of background to contrast the data and make it easier to read. I also like the overview of highs and lows in the extended forecast and touching a day for the hourly view. The hourly view is a bit too scientific average use but serves a purpose to some users.
One other suggestion is to remove the wind from the radar (the toggle doesn’t remove it) and add a one or two hour radar loop. Otherwise I like it and look forward to improvements.

Weather is easy to use and provides everything in a convenient interface. I replaced accuweather out of frustration because like most other this app apps they give nothing but ridiculous bloat and roadblocks to use for self serving advertising or sales purposes, or because some misguided programmer/creator has goofy ideas on how to present information in a complicated fashion... or they just give little information. Thanks for a clean and clear cut option.

Needed to view the this app for my first day of school, and my other app was crashing left and right, so I decided to download this. I really loved how it has a ton of this app info for any of your needs.

I do have a complaint, but it happens with my other apps, so if it’s my device, I apologize for the 4 stars, and would bump it up to 5 if I could.
The map lags a lot, which makes it hard to see everything that I need to see, like the storm system below Japan I discovered with it. Idk if it’s an ongoing hurricane (thanks WU for crashing a lot) but the point is I couldn’t really see much without it either with mostly low res radar or nothing at all, with occasional decent imaging. If it’s a thing that occurs on a lot of devices, please try and fix it. If it’s something that happens on my device only, like I said earlier, I apologize.

To quote an expression from Great Britain, Weather is “for for purpose.”

It gives you exactly what it says it will. The information is presented clearly and response times for additional locations are very good. The right information is contained on each location’s front page; you don’t have to go through and find ‘barometric pressure’ for example.

I particularly like the sunrise and sunset times on the front screen as well. So many of my daily activities all year are tied to these two times of day. I have stayed with Weather because it has just the right blend of good graphics and solid information; a rarity these days.

My only wish for follow-up is synchronization to my calendar and the ability for the user to choose which piece(s) if data should be synced.

In summary, I would recommend Weather over many of the other this app apps that I have used and are still offered at Weather Store.

This such a great this app app. There’s plenty of information on the current this app and forecasts, yet not so much that it’s confusing. I must’ve downloaded about 8 other this app apps trying to find the right one, and this is it for sure. I really have no complaints about it, they’ve designed it so well, and there’s not an annoying pop-up ad every time you click on a feature. I will be recommending this to all my friends and family.

I discovered Weather after my previous this app app was no longer working after an update. Weather kept crashing every time I tried to open it so I searched Weather Store and found this. I’ve had it for about two weeks now and so far the this app forecast has been accurate and there is a lot of information that other apps don’t offer. The only thing I think they can make Weather better, Is if you were able to distinguish between this app conditions more easily. In my opinion well made.

Very accurate temperature and location, it was accurate to my neighborhood. I didn’t realize that at first and thought it was off. Then I realize it was showing for the neighborhood in the city. Never seen an app, even maps, give the neighborhood. Sometimes I think the rain time is a little off. But it rained when it said, just a little later. But suppose that’s better than alerting after the rain starts. Overall an excellent app.

I prefer Weather over The this app Channel app especially after the last update TWC put out. I like that you swipe up per city to see details. Weather has a much more pleasant interface to read and a better color and contrast that most apps.
If I could improve something about Weather it would be to add a 15 day forecast. I work outdoors so I like to know when rain is approaching as far in advance as possible.
