I like the content and general layout of the app, although it does look/feel a little clunky. My biggest issue is with how the chat is implemented — the scrolling to look through recent messages keeps bouncing making for a very unpleasant viewing experience. And when you scroll back down the new messages (since starting to scroll back) just fly in, instead of already being preloaded into the viewing area while you were scrolling back. Look to Discord or other chat apps with how they deal with thousands of users commenting and how well their viewing and scrolling through works, even while hundreds of new messages come through.

Update: up to 5 stars now. Not much more you could ask for, except releasing a real tablet version for iOS. Surprised Apple still allows developers to write apps like this, iPhone only screen format. Especially considering for a football match you want to watch on an iPad screen or larger. 2 stars. If you consider there’s no Apple TV app I would say it’s 1 star for format. Really poor. However. Great free content, excellent. 4 stars. 5 to 6 stars for content if you let users stream live matches or at least all of previous seasons’ matches for a subscription fee. I’d pay more than my Netflix and NBA subscription combined to be able to stream live and / or previous chelsea games on Apple TV and my iPad, on demand. Exactly like I can with the NBA app.

It’s a great place to get news and interact with fellow Blues fans. I love the replay of the class matches, especially during these difficult coronavirus pandemic stay-at-home times. The only thing that in my opinion will improve the apps is making photos friendly to mobile device users, who I believe are the majority of users. It’s very frustrating to see a wonderful picture but you can’t expand it beyond one third of your small mobile phone screen. Just allow us to click on photos to fill the scree. Otherwise, great app. KTBFFH 💙💙💙💙💙
