Findo: Find my Friends, Phone Reviews

I bought this a month ago and it seems like it’s getting worse. I use it to track myself for work and billing purposes. It will completely omit some of the places I’ve programmed and will show that I’ve been driving for 4 hours, when in fact I had stopped several times. I know where I’ve been, and can say that these errors would cause major drama if I were actually trying to track someone else. I also think that a subscription to this should give you more than 1 weeks worth of history. Not happy with this.

I lost my phone and I called to report it. Apple Find My Phone app was turned on and they were able to locate it. Findo was so valuable and glad I had it due to my missing my iPhone.

Findo prompts to let you know you’re being tracked which was a total bust with my kids.

To reply from app: the rightful owner of the account, app payment, credit card information and cellphone device is me, and I agreed to all the terms when I initiated Findo . Three days later Findo prompts again and the owners approval is overridden by a minor. Is that legal?

2nd reply: the owner of the device and account is the parent that pays for it and who’s name is on the account AND it’s being installed for the safety of the minor.

I installed Findo on both my sons and my phone. It records every step I take… but it does not work on his phone. This morning Findo told me he was home when he was already at school. Then when I picked him up from school and brought him home, app said he was at school. Right now it still shows him at home when he’s at the gym. Did not work.

I have used this for years and it has worked so much better than anything else

I stand outside my home, free from obstructing objects, trees or even buildings and Findo tells me I’m 5 blocks to a mile a away....HUH?

Look if you’re going to help me look for my friends at least let them be 1 block away or on the other side of the street that’s acceptable..

I’m not paying 2 cents for this...where you getting all these 5 star ratings...from employees??

Had it before. Sincerely, a little to complicated to make work. Not worth me putting my effort and time into Findo.

Findo does not update very well. Like right now as usual it hasnt updated a location of my LO (loved one) for over 3 hours. My LO is in the beginning of dementia and has medical issues, i need to follow his every move.
This happens alot. I reboot my phone and that doesnt help.
I am looking at other apps and will be changing.

APP very easy to track location,, short distance,,friendly search

It is important to be able to speak to a live person to ask personal questions and to cancel your order and this service does not allow you to do that does anybody have a one 800 customer service number for this company help please misled I agree with you This is the worst service it should be easier to cancel

I have the ring doorbell and have now added five cameras to my home. I have a lot of people coming and going to help care for my husband and now I can have peace of mind.

let’s me keep track of my family including those on non-Sprint plans. Has lots of good tools, and requires some time to set-up,
but well worth it.

Purchased this because I wanted to see if it’d be better than Life360. It’s not. Not sure how it has such high ratings. It did not update correctly, despite having all of the necessary settings toggled to on. The only thing I liked was the way it looked tbh. You’re better off with the free version of life360.

The lag time needs to be more efficient. I can show it in one location and the next thing I know the car is in the driveway. Too much delay.

They just stole money from me. I just opened Findo for the time, and it asked to verify if I want to open it and the next screen said "Thank you for your subscription your payment has been accepted". Charged me $50! I immediately canceled the subscription, deleted it, and called my bank! Do not download!

Amazing app to keep you busy for free on any other day at home without having to pay

I initially thought Findo was good, but there are too many bugs right now, and customer support needs to be better. I’ve sent a couple of questions requesting support in why notifications sometimes work, and then goes days on where it doesn’t work for geofences; but no response from the developer. Also, when the refresh button is pressed, it doesn’t always refresh. Yes, location is always on, notification alerts in settings are on. If the developer actually responds to questions, the star rating would be higher.

Update 13SEP19: customer support say they responded to all of my requests, but if that’s the case, only two came through (and yes, I did check the spam folder). Even with the two responses, the responses were almost exactly the same, just worded differently. Both responses stated that Findo uses GPS, and be sure that location is on....yes, I know....that’s why I stated in my initial review location is on. That’s not the issue, the notifications not working is the main issue, and refresh updates is the other. Doing several tests with other phones with Findo , and ALL the same settings, notifications are not working consistently in locations with strong Signals. Other people left the geofence area, called to see if I could see them on Findo out of the geofence area. Yes, they were out of the geofence area....but NO NOTIFICATION that they left. Only knew by opening Findo . For the refresh updates, areas with strong signals, Updates still vary. Sometimes it works, other times it doesn’t refresh for hours. I know, because the other people text if it refreshed, and they haven’t left the same location. In your response, please address the Notification issue.

Update 17SEP19: After doing some of my own troubleshooting, figured out that if you uninstall Findo on all phones, reinstall, and create new Circles for people to join, it fixes the notification error (for now). I’ll raise the star level to 3 (since Findo is great when it works), and will change it to higher if this fix holds; but recommendation for customer support: actually address the issue, and don’t have canned responses for all location issues. Also, it would also help if you put some of the customer support responses in the reviews (beyond “send an email to customer support”), so people can see it upfront to see if their issue can be fixed.

What matters the most is to find what’s missing. When it comes to find somebody, it is when it’s a fundamental matter. Avec cet App, on en peut faire, d’une manière simple, vite et exacte!

I can only see my son when he’s at home, when he leaves the phone seems like it stays at home.. if he’s offline does it only show that phone is when it was last online...
Also his battery life never shows to me .. so far dont find it useful

Findo needs a notification sound to alert you when someone is leaving places and arriving... it DOES NOT HAVE SOUND!!! Only a banner!!! FIX IT PLEASE!!!
