I’ve been playing this game for a year now and after the update I was reading the comments about how “unfair it is” and how “hard it is to upgrade, which is almost laughable. I think a lot of what these players are facing is a perceptive bias as you don’t hear anyone complaining when the game goes in their favor. Do you get beat by incredibly slim margins in PvP sometimes due to the flight path of the ball? Absolutely! However, do you also beat your opponents by the same margins?? Of course you do! It’s a challenge to make sure you hit correctly, giving the ball an optimal and quick flight path to the target, and this my friends, is on the player, not the programmer.
As for upgrading your character, the game is well rounded IF you use all of the features! PLAY the home-run challenge everyday to compete for free chests, and make sure to open the FREE chests that are available every day, 3x a day, and PARTICIPATE in the events! I’ve gotten almost all of the available items by doing these three things, and am quite pleased that the devs have been generous enough to even allow Legendary loot drops out of the free chests- understand they don’t have to do this!
Give this game a dedicated effort and you will be rewarded!

I dont understand how matchups are made. The person you are up against is always many levels higher with much higher upgraded equipment. I dont get how the opponent always gets at least one extra pitch to beat you whenever you are ahead. This game started out great then turned for the worse. It doesnt matter what cards you have as you never can win enough coins to upgrade them and you get stuck with inferior equipment and skills. Its not a level playing field for the average player and seems to not be possible to be competitive and have fun playing if the same thing keeps happening again and again. How is it possible in mission mode to hit the ball at the target every time only to have it die before it gets there or have something that can only go to one field go in the complete opposite direction. Also why is every batter righthanded? The gamemakers must know that people dont all bat righthanded. The pitchers are right and left handed why not the batters? I hope the game gets better as i like it but i want to be able to enjoy it and be competitive not just get beat by people who overmatch you at every turn. I dont understand how i can close out a higher stadium and not be able to do anything in a lower one as it seems anytime i play in it i get put against people who are so far ahead of me that they beat me in 4 pitches. If things keep up like this i will just have to walk away from a game i like because its just not worth it.

I’ve been playing this game for over a year, and when I first started it was a pretty even competitive field… however as of late the unfairness level has spun wildly out of control! You have a multitude of “national players” sitting in lower levels beating up on easy players, you have over paid players remaining in lower levels just farming everyone.. the only time an average player has an ability to win now is if they play a bot, or spend through their nose. Furthermore, not only does the developer do anything to correct the issues they just ignore it. I’ve emailed them about this issue and their lack of concern is disregarded. It’s egregious how bad things have gotten in a short period of time. Had they kept the playing field even and moved superior players up then this fairness inconsistency wouldn’t have skewed so badly. Yet alas, this game is is more increasingly frustrating than it is enjoyable. I don’t mind losing but going on 10-20 game losing streaks all to “national players” (who don’t belong in lower stadiums) and players who sit and farm, is now unbearable to even play anymore. You have these clans who are completely built out and sit in lower stadiums during clan battles and rack up wins cheaply. It’s wrong and it’s pathetic. My review has more to do with the developers lack of regard to any of this due to the copious amounts they are making. I’m over it. Save your time and energy for a game more even and fair.

Coming from someone who has played for 2 weeks and has every batter and item in the game simply from grinding bingo cards and doing extremely well in challenges/guild events, most criticism isn’t valid. This game is extremely fun. “They hit further than me” yes but they cant hit the scoreboard or debuffs or special features in stadiums. Learn to aim better. “Sometimes I lose in 3 swings” yes and sometimes you win in 3 swings, but you seem to forget that. Almost every critique someone has of this game is easily fixed by putting in a little bit of effort to get good.

Now i WILL say as my only form of criticism, you need to fix how league ranking works. Having to wait the entire time period before being promoted doesnt work when im at stadium 8 during my 14th day of playing. No one in my league has a chance when i can put up 1,000,000 points a day and second place totals around 450k. Make it to where if you reach a certain threshold of points in a single period (different amount for each league) you’re immediately promoted to the next league so you can actually climb. Im first place every single time yet its taking me forever to get promoted.

This game is fun, addictive, and you can play a match in two minutes. But if you want to succeed beyond the first few low level stadiums you should be prepared to spend lots and lots of money. The game is littered with people who have spent large sums of money to max out the batters and equipment and they just sit in the middle level stadiums preying on players who haven’t spent that much money. I guess we should feel bad for those players who do that because they apparently suffer from the debilitating disease “Small Penis Syndrome (SPS)”, but Haegin actually caters to them and has turned their ailment into a cash cow. Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of big spenders in the higher level stadiums, but at least those players have the decency to continue to progress through the stadiums and if you manage to make it past the SPS players without spending a small fortune you will have entered the domain of The Rich and Powerful. I’m not kidding. I know several players who have spent over $10,000 on this game. If you’re a Free to Play (F2P) this game will quickly become a head banging, hair pulling, device smashing nightmare. So don’t even bother starting this game. This is not a joke. I’m serious about this.

It’s sad if you don’t know this game is a money game you are put up against players who are stronger then you by many levels you can’t win to upgrade to even match the other players because you can’t win matches or more than one match per every 10 games you play. Don’t download this game unless you are going to buy packs which this game isn’t worth it. I’ve been playing when it first started and stopped then tried it again out of boredom It’s still the same problems even worse now. Just fair warning get your wallet out and be ready to pay to keep up. For instance if you are winning a you are going against a player who has paid to play this game it will give the player a last pitch which will be enough points to beat you. Then say you win several games the game automatically makes sure you match against someone you know has paid money they have a gold frame around their names and pic and you loose. If you play the tournament you win a few games get some rewards but if you don’t have 1000 rubies you don’t get the prizes that will change you character or even that would make you a little bit stronger. The only way to get that many is to pay for a pack. Again like I said don’t down load this garbage game. It’s truly not worth the taking up space on your electronic devices.

Five or six mud or ink balls should never come during a batting cycle yet many times your opponent has the biggest advantage because they spend some big bucks to play. You play and play and never win a game because you never get a ball to hit. Players should be ranked by the defensive skills as well. Sure you have to learn how and when to hit the ball very interesting and fun game but there are days when you want to delete this game and move on. It’s just not fair but money talks BS WALKS you are so outmatched in some games I guess that’s to be expected but you have to spend that $9.99 a week to get the tools you need to compete. This game needs various levels for people to compete like little league then college then Pro. But let the player decide and in each league you top out with the tools to be competitive. There are days when I just want to hit a baseball like a practice level. Then there are days when I say bring it on.

Personally, I love this game but it can 100% be improved for typical users. The main issue with the game is you HAVE to purchase packs or you will never improve, and even then I have clan mates who have spent thousands on this game and still have no maxed out legendary cards. I have spent about a couple hundred myself during my time span and am still considerably weak in comparison to clan mates or those who have spent a ridiculous amount of money on the game. I wish your time spent playing had more dividends since I due play rather often. It’s disheartening that the creators have said they’d work on this issue in the past but continually show they have no intention of doing so. A cash in option for lower tier cards for gold would also be a nice option since many upgrades are expensive using in game currency and inhibits you from playing the later unlocked stadiums, especially since they lock you out of the cheaper stadiums upon completion. Nearly makes it impossible to accrue gold unless you’ve bought gem packs to purchase gold or have insanely leveled cards, which takes more money, to continually win.

So this is a pretty fun game at face value. But once you get in a competitive clan, things start to get sour. Firstly, their connection issues is something you cannot overlook. They connect you with a match but connection is very unstable occasionally and you get kicked back to the home page. And they charge you for gold that you worked hard to accrue and sometimes even spend real money on. They do not reimburse you. The most you get is an apology and citing it might be your device that is causing the issue which is not the case. Especially since my phone is new and other players have complained about the same exact thing. The other thing that some other reviewers touched on was the impossible and high difficulty it is to acquire all-star and legendary cards. Even with you spending a few hundred dollars. You get the same cards over and over again making it impossible to upgrade your stats to compete at a high level. The best thing I can honestly say about this game is that the graphics are pretty good. Aside from that, this game is going to be a headache for the average user so I’d say just stay away. Too many issues that the creator is not willing to address or rectify to the users.

When I started playing this game I loved it, but the longer I’be played the more frustrated I’ve become. The matchups are ridiculous. I don’t even know how they come up with them half the time. I went up against someone the other day and in 7 pitches I had 2 cycle homeruns and 1 announced homerun and still lost before time ran out. That doesn’t make any sense. If I am playing as well as you possibly can and still getting beat that badly then something is wrong with the matchups/score keeping. Also, it is incredibly difficult to get the higher level players/equipment. You can get the basic stuff just fine and upgrade it but it doesn’t compete with the “Major” or even “Minor” batters and gear and those take a stupid amount of time to get. Another issue I have had is sometimes when you draw cards or buy them from the daily screen they don’t show up in your inventory. I have tried reporting this twice and have never even gotten a response. This game was fun but I am at the point now where there is no more use in playing because I can’t win a match even if I play perfectly. Overall, was fun at the beginning but now is just aggravating.

Game started out great until I got around 400 trophies then suddenly I’m losing 4 out of every 5 matches. Somehow every opponent I face can do miraculous things that make no sense. My last match I had an opponent achieve the cycling homerun bonus 3 times in 4 pitches. Not sure how that’s possible since it takes a minimum of 3 pitches to hit it to left, right and center fields. As soon as I cycled they cycled then on the very next pitch they cycled again. They got one hit and then cycled again combined with an announced homerun to end the game. Why bother playing at this point since there’s clearly something going on shady? The game did get progressively harder as you advance but suddenly there’s no winning. I played an opponent with 30 less trophies than me and I hit homeruns on my first two pitches and they hit three to end the game. Waste of time if the game is designed like this.

I’d like the developers to explain how match is ending with opponent who is about 20 trophies less than me about 1/8 inch to their side and I hit a critical announced homerun which is also a cycling homerun that hit a symbol while my opponent hits a regular homerun with a symbol hit and that’s a wash. Their symbol homerun cancelled out my symbol hit, announced, cycled homerun.

I have been playing this game ever since it has come out and I have loved it. The 1v1 matches are greatly set up, you can get amazing loot without spending a dime, and the bingo boards are super easy to grind out and get rewards from. However, there is a world where players can get mercied too quick ‘cause their loot is not good enough. All of this evens out with such as the bingo board, 1v1 trophy rewards, challenge mode rewards, and so much more. For me I have spent around $50 in the last few years playing this game, and that’s just because I wanted to get every single card in the game to maximize my playing ability and chance. Players don’t have to do such if they keep up with daily rewards and all the other great content. Overall, it’s a great game, EXTREMELY addictive, easy to play, fun to play, and very competitive. Great job developers and I’m interested to see what comes in the future for HomerunClash. Merry Christmas 🇺🇸🇺🇸

Updating a previous review. Previously the update was not being shown on my IPhone XR, but apparently there was still some maintenance being done. Game is working perfectly fine for me now again. Do not listen to the people saying you can’t win. Just yesterday I went on a 57 game winning streak. After that I had another 10 game win streak, and a couple other single digit win streaks. Biggest complaint about this game is it is really difficult at a point to make money for upgrades, get gems for the bigger chests or even just to open chests so you don’t feel like you’re wasting a ton of matches when you keep winning. But they make it pretty difficult to get the all star cards as it should be being these are the best cards in the game and far more powerful than others. Matchups seem to work fine as I haven’t seen a bigger gap in trophies at the point I’m at than 25 trophies. Overall very pleased with this game. Don’t listen to the haters about this one.

As many of the reviews say already, winning is hard, and less likely than losing. The way money-making works, it’s incredibly hard to hang on to enough money to upgrade or do much of anything in the game.

In the main 1 vs 1 game mode and Royale game mode (1 vs 3), you’re matched with players who have reached the same level as you. Theoretically you should win about 50% of your matches, if not a little more if you’re skilled at the game. However if you go on one losing streak, you can lose all your money incredibly easily, and you NEED money to play any game mode. Every time you go broke, and you will, you have to basically start the game over playing from the beginner levels making no money working your way up to the higher levels where you can make enough to upgrade. At that point, it’s more likely that you’ll go broke again before reaching that stage.

That’s where I am and where I’ve been for too long so I’ve decided to delete the game. Good games should reward you for playing often, and this one lets you stay stagnant no matter how many matches you’ve played. Don’t waste your time. It’s more of a headache to play this game than any fun.

The reality is what many others have pointed out and fairly criticized. THIS IS A PAY-TO-WIN game. And IT’S ONE IF THE WORST IVE EVER SEEN. Because even if you pay money you will still only win about 50% of the time no matter how much you pay. Yes, you might get a slight bump from a purchase that will push you to the next level. But guess what? You’re back to square one at the next level and will need to pay money just to stay at 50-55%. And so on, and so on, until the last stadium. At this level you have to be crazy rich just to stay at 50%. They do this on purpose to frustrate you and to keep you paying money. These developers are the closest thing to evil genius crooks I can imagine.

How do I know all of this? Because I quit 4 months ago. I used to play religiously every other day. I was the manager of my own successful clan. I achieved over 2800 trophies and achieved player level 8. I was not just a beginner player who is frustrated with losing. I had a lot of experience.

So, play for the graphics. But do not get sucked in by mindless reviewers like ‘Gunnabread’. It’s a criminally heavy micro transaction game.

This Game has been great since the start, and I love that you play without having to pay. However it would be better if the packages were more affordable. I want to support the developers but it seems like to get a good package that can range from $30-75 dollars! That is not affordable for most people. I’m not saying you need to do away with those but how about some descent ones for normal people? Also thank you for revamping the Homerun Derby I hope it always stays like it is now. Much better setup. It just needs fine tuning that’s why I gave it 4 instead of 5. Clans or teams you can join for even more perks would make a lot of sense too! Hope you developers will consider my changes, but thank you for a Great Game Anyway. I haven’t spend a dime yet and I want to, that tells people reading these reviews quite a lot.

Super fun game. Been playing for 3 months, and so far it’s been my favorite game. The issue is the top end players, mostly all Korea which is odd, are horribly over powering. The game is fun because it takes actual skill, and I understand steering people to spending money, and I have spent money, but it’s as if they have dumped thousands of dollars into the game (unlikely) they have all the top gear and despite us having the same character they score twice the points. It’s LITERALLY impossible to beat them. I still enjoy the intense competition, but when I see those 10-15 names I know I’ve automatically lost which is a hard pill to swallow. Something should be done about that wild gap between the all star characters and the major. Otherwise awesome game

Update. Your new clan wars prove the insane gap between players. The loyalty clan has 6000 clan points on day one of the wars. The next closest has 3000?! How is that even possible?! The top 2 clans are filled with players with maxed out items which we all know are impossible to obtain with spending thousands of dollars. Most fun game I’ve played, but get a grip on whatever is happening at the top.

I’ve waited until I played this game for a long period of time to give this review. I wanted to be fair. First, This game would be tons of fun if the matchmaking was anywhere near fair. You will go through long streaks of games without winning and be paired against players with much higher stats. Forget about winning in battle royale (even worse matchmaking) and like I said, forget about having any sort of consistent winning streak.
Gameplay also suffers and is inconsistent. I’ve had many games where I received multiple “perfect” contact only for the ball to fall short of a home run. Equipment doesn’t really make a noticeable difference in power and skill and the packages offered for purchase are ridiculous in price. Nothing good under $12. So yeah, you can spend hundreds of dollars to make minimal upgrades. Oh and forget about farming gems. Hundreds of hours will give you few gems to be able to buy anything worthwhile. So I guess you could play it non-stop for thousands of hours and maybe reach 400 gems. Such a disappointment for such a nice looking game.

I would just like to say that I think the game is a lot of fun. These games are made to make money for the creators and so on. So the people crying about pay to play, well that’s just how it goes. You go out and buy a PS game for $50 but you can’t spend a few bucks on a game that you have access to at all times, cmon??? I’ve spent $10 dollars so far and have managed to win my way to mostly all all star cards for my characters. The matchups have a lot to do with luck and skill as you progress. It can be frustrating when coming up against a national player but hey, put the time in and get the ranking for yourself. Besides some left handed batting characters, I am fully happy. Oh, having to buy the rewards you win in a tournament with gems seems a little much though. Access to more stadiums sooner would be great too!! Thank you

Look I’ve been playing this game for awhile now and. I have never had an issue but within the last month I’ve been noticing to win pvp it’s almost impossible. The players I am matched with for one don’t have real names and have 32 wins in a row I mean come on really cool good for them but lately every match I have had by my third homerun they seem to knock me out and I am hitting perfect hits!!!! How is that possible I am not the best but I know I am pretty good and never had issues before. I report these players because by the third hit it is unreal to believe I have a little more then half life actually winning and they knock me out out of no where. So I filled a complaint by email nothing so now I honestly hesitate to play anymore cuz I don’t see the point if I keep getting knocked as quick as I am and losing all my money and stats. Wish you guys would look into this issue cuz like I said this was my number one game to go too now honestly it’s not.. smh

First off the game is very buggy and will more than likely make you miss once up to bat per match ruining your chances of winning and if that could be fixed this game may be more bearable. While apart from this the boosts you get from a cycling hr are too high to be a valid feature and depending on what pitched you get thrown it can be harder for you than your opponent farther skewing the games skill barrier even though it is a mobile game. And as with what seems second nature with almost all mobile games is the pay to win or at least the pay to play what is barely able to be called a game feature stuffing in cosmetics and actual game changing features that can be bought for crazy prices and there is no progress you can make in an average session of playing this game and it’s rewards you get from playing are just more convoluted loot boxes ruining a rewarding system from playing changing that out for just luck of the draw and feeding in your money.
