I like the idea but…You only get 50 pins for free before you have to pay a premium price for more pins. I bet I can use 50 pins before I even reach 100 miles of my home town. I don’t want or even need all the extra features. I just want to be able to record a new city I visit so I can look back on ... Show more my travels. Silly that they think I will pay that much for pins. Why not have unlimited pins and pay for the extra features.

I will be deleting right after this review is posted.

Only way for me to return is free unlimited pins.

PinTraveler is too simple, the free version is useless, and the paid version is expensive.

Like a million other apps out there you can pin the cities you’ve travelled to. Well I’ve been to 125 countries and 1000+ cities/ locations. For this to be useful it should be able to import location... Show more s from Tripit, or my emails, or at the very minimum by scanning my photo locations. It didn’t even ask for photo permissions at all. Maybe this is because I am a free member, but who knows? I can’t test that.

Look developer: There are two ways to do this right. Either 1. Unlock all of the features but limit people to 50 locations so they can properly test PinTraveler . OR do the opposite: 2. Unlimited locations but you don’t have all of the features. Then I might be willing to start entering my locations manually. You’ve done both and it doesn’t make me very interested in doing much with PinTraveler.

PinTraveler was pretty cool and fairly easy to navigate, UNTIl you reach your 50 FREE PINS!!
Of course, they don’t tell you about the 50 free pins until after you’ve created an account using your email!! Very Thoughtful of them.

PinTraveler works great and is much more lively than the alternatives I found. I like how you can add photos to pins and change pin colors, but bruh really, why is the premium version a subscription?? What exactly am I subscribing to? Great app with excellent customer service. I highly recommend it to anyone who travels and would like to easily keep a log of their journeys.

I use this to see where our products have been shipped too from purchases. I really like seeing the overview of the map and where our barrels and poles have been sold. I like that I can color coordinate the pins for our products too. Red pins is where poles are, blue is who has our barrels and oran... Show more ge pins is who has both. What I would add is a tab to select which pin color you want to see when on the map overlay.
Also would be nice to see pins by year. You can select 2019 and see pins just from that year. 2020 and see pins from just that year. And can select the color of pins for that year.
This gives us a great overview of where our products are being purchased.

I went with PinTraveler after checking out a few others. I like some of the features, but it isn’t perfect. What I do like is, with the pins over shading you can better see the small countries you have been to easier. I also like the stats it provides like farthest points you have traveled. I also really like that you can log your trips in addition to marking the places you have been. It’s a nice travel diary to go back and see information you want to remember about the places you have visited.

I just purchased PinTraveler, after using Polarsteps. I love that PinTraveler is so user friendly, however I wish it would allow me to add my pics for each part of my trip, rather than just a place. If I add a trip, Cancun, LA, Honolulu, I want to post all those pics on the trip with pictures. ... Besides that PinTraveler is great, I also wish it would automatically track my trips and arrange the pics or me, like Polarsteps does.

PinTraveler is very close to what I consider ideal. The only feature, and possibly I’m missing it, is to be able to drop a pin exactly where I was. I used to keep a travel map with pins, but it became awkward and outdated. I looked for a replacement and found Pin Traveler when I'd just begun an island cruise to Greece. I loved dropping pins for every island and historic site I visited. I loved it so much that I purchased the Lifetime Member... Show more ship within days of installing it.

I gave it only four stars, as I sometimes find navigating the features awkward and non-intuitive. Reading the help solves some of that, but my biggest hurdle is lumping pins into a single trip. And once a pin is dropped, it's hard (for me) to add it to a trip. I'm hoping a new feature including easy to create and edit multi-stop trips will be added.

Additionally, since Apple has made it possible for some iPhone apps to work on Macs as well, I have been trying this out on an M2 MacBook Pro. It seems to work well, is stable, and using the trackpad as a "pinch and drag" device works well.

I hghly recommend thi app, and I look forward to the updates and improvements coming soon.

I have been using Pin Traveler for a number of years and it just keeps getting better and better. I can easily organize my pins into trips with discreet stops and select my own master image for the trip if I choose. With descriptions for each stop I can incorporate trip journal items. I have 279 pins across 67 countries so indeed it is a must for me.

As important, the developers for pin traveler continue to be receptive to suggestions.

PinTraveler is an excellent way to keep a diary of lifetime travels! It allows to input details of travel. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a great way to log their travels as they happen and then to look back and share with friends and family!! Their customer service is excellent as well... Add as many photos to every country you went too, pin places you've been to in that country and you can even specify which city you went to and also add photos and pins to that specific city!

The developers are very responsive and has good communication when I had problems. They never leave it unresolved!

PinTraveler has gotten better with the updates since I started using it back and 2021! Love love love PinTraveler! I can't wait to see what it has to offer this year!

I’m addicted to PinTraveler. It’s exactly what I’ve been looking for to document my travels! PinTraveler would be perfect if you could list the places costed such as restaurants etc like you can fit the cities costed instead of having to tap into a city pin.

By far the best "places traveled" app. I use it very simply (just pin places I've been and then wishlist places I want to go to) but it's perfect and elegant and doesn't pressure you too spend money. And the nifty extra features are very cool. Thank you for making this!!!

I am an avid traveler who has been to 35+ countries so far and loves to keep track of everything travel related. I keep track of my flights as well as my destinations, for which I use PinTraveler. It is rather intuitive, visually pleasing and functional.

This is one of my favorite apps. i use it every time i travel and to reminisce about the good old days when i’m home! i’ve been using it for almost a year now and i really enjoy finding out new features every time i open PinTraveler . looking forward to the next update!

I like PinTraveler and especially the potential of PinTraveler as they make improvements. Using this as our trip journal. Can just click on a stay and see note Anne’s photos related specifically to that stay. You can also just see your total status across many trips. Very responsive to my email.

This is the perfect app to keep track of the places you’ve visited, and not just the cities but also the restaurants, bars, cafes you’ve been to and loved!
