Since updating to iOS 16.1.2 (20B110), the App no longer works. Error, no internet. Deleting and reinstalling makes no difference.

Hsbc HK Bus App - 6 months of problems (Dec 2020)
I have been using the Hsbc app for 3+ years and it was ok (pretty basic and clunky but let me use mobile security key to approve view transactions etc)
Unfortunately when I upgraded ly iPhone last Dec 2020 the business app was not able to transfer to my new iphone.
The problem was (apparently) that the Hsbc business app requires a physical security token to activate new iphone and won’t accept the passcodes from old business app (even though that app still works and lets you log on so SC word by HSBC security systems)
6 months later with multiple calls to Hsbc HK, visits to bank, emails I still can’t get the app transfer to work on my new iPhone and still have to go back to my old iPhone to log on to my accounts
This is pretty odd as the HSBC Hk retail app transfer took 5 mins (very easy), put in old mobile app code / put in new mobile app code voila (done)
Moral of this story don’t use the HSBC HK bus app unless you have and keep your old physical token or you will never be able to upgrade your iPhone

Forced app updates with no warning is disruptive and inconvenient, especially with large updates. Maybe give one or two login cycles to update, and allow instant access for important or time critical transactions?
