I’ve no problem on paying the price they are charging. My issue is that they are very shady with their business model. Tell upfront how much is the price and we will pay for it. Read all the reviews you have here, 80% of them complained about the same issue and the developers always copy and paste the same answer. Saying they are working on it and promising to get a popup before you try each feature but they didn’t do anything about it.

Awesome app and features, shady business model. I paid for the features but I honestly won’t use VideoMemeMakerGeneratorMIM anymore. Very bad customer experience. You guys are going to get a lot of new customers but very few returning customers. A business with a low customer’s LTV is not going to survive for long. It costs more money to acquire a new client than to maintain them.

I knew there would be in app purchases. But I didn’t expect to spend an hour editing a video (should have been 10 minutes but the interface is garbage) only to get hit up after the fact for $29. At least tell me what it costs up front. I may have actually paid it if I hadn’t already figured out how bad the functionality was.

I spent an hour and a half editing the subtitles on my video only to be hit with an $18 fee or lose it would be deleted. Then, I had to pay $29 to get rid of the watermark. I would’ve been fine if they were upfront, but to hit me with it AFTER I already did the work was too much and not good business. The editing was easy and amazing, but because of this mishandled situation, I will delete VideoMemeMakerGeneratorMIM and find another.

I’m sorry but I would not recommend VideoMemeMakerGeneratorMIM. Yes, it’s a good app for making video for your business, hobby, etc.

BUT, they don’t tell you how much you’re going to be paying upfront.

You go through the whole process of making your video, editing it, making captions...

Then at the end when you want to save the video to your camera roll, it asks

“To add your @ name at the end of the video, it’s $7”

You say yes and pay for that, it then asks if you want to pay $20 for the progress bar

THEN AFTER THAT, it asks if you want to pay $27 to remove the BIG watermark logo on your video.

Don’t expect to pay anything under $55

It would be better if they just told us upfront.

You should tell your customers what the total price is going to be upfront! Paid 3.99, to get rid of ads, no big deal, paid. But then after I make my video, “pay more to keep your progress bar”, I’m getting annoyed, but ok..Wait, there’s more! Pay $26 to keep your subtitles, seriously? You already have some of my money, yet as for even more instead if f being honest upfront from the beginning.

Actual functionality of VideoMemeMakerGeneratorMIM is great. But after I spent 30 minutes captioning a video of mine, I go to save it and it holds it behind a paywall and I suddenly can’t access it unless I pay. There was no warning it would do this at all. Shady and gross. Pro tip - screen record the video you made on the “preview” screen and save it that way (that’s what I did after I re made the entire thing). Screw apps like this, they don’t deserve your money.

They don’t tell you the prices upfront and there are 3 layers of pricing, totaling out to over $60+ — they also make you go through the entire process of captioning your video before telling you have to pay to download the video with captions. They wasted my time on VideoMemeMakerGeneratorMIM and wasted my time on the phone with VideoMemeMakerGeneratorMIM Store to get a refund because after finishing the video and paying $25, they ask for another $25 to remove the watermark— I wish I could give zero stars.

Spent 30 minutes typing out the captions then at the end, surprise....surprise...All you work will be lost unless you pay for it. So okay fine I did. I paid for it and then another pop up to pay for something else. Almost $40 later my video is downloaded and the sound doesn’t match the video. It has latency issues. Not happy at all.

VideoMemeMakerGeneratorMIM ’s practices are very disingenuous. You need to be upfront with the costs, and not let user get committed spending valuable time on VideoMemeMakerGeneratorMIM , so they have no choice but to pay for it at the end, otherwise all their effort and time is wasted.

If you were upfront with these charges, I may have still paid for VideoMemeMakerGeneratorMIM , but my rating would not be so bad. My only issue would only be the latency issue.

Ok this is a great idea of an app that made for social media as a one stop shop.
However, this is just a bad example of business model.
If you were truthful and upfront about how much you would charge for total use of everything then I won’t mind paying it at all as I know it will help me reduce time.
But this is just not ok cuz when I thought I paid $5 to get access to the progress bar I thought that was it but then there’s more that I have to pay if I were to use SUB option and another $16 for watermark remove.
I mean you can just add everything up and/or have a choice as a list to provide user before they making a purchase so they know what’s going on.
This is just SHADY and not okay.
I paid $5 and just delete VideoMemeMakerGeneratorMIM cuz it’s just not worth it anymore.

The pricing model is just plain shady. No other way to put it. I don’t actually have a problem with the cost, it’s how it’s presented.

You create a video then they use scarcity to tell you that you need to remove the water mark, then another scare tactic to add a progress bar, etc. And this keeps going until all the features are unlocked? Who knows?

No where before this are you told that. You should just tell people it will cost xyz and I’m sure most wont have an issue with the cost.

App functionality seems alright so far but the fact that there’s three layers of payments after you spend time making a video is complete BS! First you’re told to spend $5 to use the progress bar, then you’re threatened to spend $8 or your subtitles that you worked on will be deleted, then finally you are made to spend $15 or they will put a watermark over your entire video. I don’t disagree that VideoMemeMakerGeneratorMIM could potentially be worth $30 but the way it’s gone about is entirely shady and messed up.

Before latest update, I paid $6.99 to unlock watermarks. I was able to add titles on top/below video, then save video.

There were other features that required upgrade to Pro package, which was cheaper than the latest price increase.

With latest update, they have now included saving video to Pro package, which is a $119/year annual subscription.

What this means is that you cannot save any video with this package.

I will no longer be be using VideoMemeMakerGeneratorMIM and will delete this.

DO NOT get baited into the 3 Day Pro trial.

There are much cheaper alternatives than this ripoff.

I will be reporting this latest business practice change to Apple.

I recommend that others in the same boat as me that paid for features and can no longer save video, should also report this vendor to Apple.

VideoMemeMakerGeneratorMIM is fine. It offers the ability to type out sub titles for a video. My low rating is because they don’t tell you you have to pay for it until you’re done working on your first project. My first project took about half an hour, and just the like the developers suspected- I paid for it since I was so frustrated about wasting all the time. Consider using iMovie instead. Maybe more complicated. But it wouldn’t cost you $42

Thank goodness I didn’t waste time entering captions like a lot of people here. The developer keeps pasting a response about testing higher prices and subscriptions. That’s NOT the issue. The issue is that users aren’t told about costs for features until after they’ve spent time creating the video, WITH those features. A lot of apps do “try for free” but they tell you what the cost will be! VideoMemeMakerGeneratorMIM banks on you not wanting to lose your work and manipulates you into paying. Wow.

Only reason I’m giving this an extra star is because I was able to create a product I was satisfied with but the fact that I didn’t know I had to pay $17 for the subtitles till after I spent nearly an hour creating my video( at that point you don’t want your time to go to waste) is shady as other buyers have said. And to make matters worse, they then charge you $27 to get rid of the watermark?! STAY CLEAR FROM VideoMemeMakerGeneratorMIM, find another app that is more honest and cheaper, this company clearly only cares about making money with all these up charges

Honestly VideoMemeMakerGeneratorMIM is great. I love the features. But I was very disappointed when I spent 20 minutes typing out subtitles for an Instagram post for them to just randomly disappear. The subtitles are displayed on VideoMemeMakerGeneratorMIM like they are a feature I’ve unlocked. So here I go, spending valuable time for it to just let me know I had to pay an extra 8 bucks for it. Still not a bad price and feature is awesome BUT ya know, I felt like t would have been really nice if they were upfront about the extra charge for that.

I recently downloaded VideoMemeMakerGeneratorMIM and it’s pretty good. However, I am not impressed with their features. You have to pay $4 to get their watermark removed permanently. There are probably better apps out there so don’t download this one before checking others.

VideoMemeMakerGeneratorMIM is good. But it shuts down when I’m in the middle of typing. Have to redo all the work again. Really inconvenient. I will purchase it when the problem is fixed.

I paid the $26 to use all the features but when I got to the “add your social media to the end of your video” part it wouldn’t let me unlock it. I kept hitting the button and the buttons below and did nothing. Other then that I love VideoMemeMakerGeneratorMIM .
Please tell me why I can’t add my social media when I paid the money?

Cool app but every time I go to add the subtitles, VideoMemeMakerGeneratorMIM resets and kicks me out. I’ve sent multiple emails and no response.
