When you see it first you automatically think, “Oh! A free SW opening crawl, awesome!” or at least that’s what I thought.

I was dumb enough to fall for this trash, as yes, you can make an opening crawl, but you can’t change “Star Wordz” to a different title. Well, you can but you have to (as StarWordz says) “use the Force” and upgrade for only $0.99. I’m pretty sure Jedi and Sith alike don’t use the Force for petty trash like this clickbait.

Make it free, then it’s worth the download. But if anything, StarWordz is just a complete waste of time, money, and storage. It’s a joke to see if you are stupid enough to pay for something you could easily do somewhere else.

In conclusion, a one star rating isn’t appropriate. It should be Z E R O. But since I’m considerate enough to give this disgrace of an app a rating, I may as well just give it that.

Why do I have to pay to change the title. What are you Ea?! Cant it be free to change the title because just randomly watching your opening crawl and then making me pay .99 cents. Don’t get me wrong 99 cents isn’t a bad price. But make it free because we don’t need to pay to change a title. Respond to me and don’t avoid like you did with other people who give bad reviews. The only person you responded to was a guy who gave a bad review and didn’t say anything about the price. You just said “shame on me” and stuff like that. You don’t respond to good reviews either. Anyway just respond to me, make it free, and we won’t have a problem.

Shame on you. Do you really need to show off your greed over a little thing like changing the title? Are you that desperate for money? Sometimes in life, honesty is the best policy, but I guess not in your case. I think more people would like your app and maybe even purchase the full version if you just allowed us to edit everything, then offer the full version for $.99 or $1.99 by having more special added features like alternative backgrounds, more colors, etc. Maybe then not will people like you and your app, but maybe you’ll start to like yourself too. Shame.

StarWordz would be so much better if I could actually add music to it. It has the button to add music and says choose from library however it doesn’t actually let you see anything in your library or choose any music which is very disappointing. Woulda been five stars if not

All I can do is edit text. I can’t add music like StarWordz suggests I can nor does the music that comes with StarWordz work either. Basically the sound doesn’t work at all. Not sure how old StarWordz actually is but I feel like it’s probably pretty old and updates are assumed to be neglected. Oh well.

First off I must say you did a great job designing StarWordz . Props to you. However, charging $1.99 to change the title isn’t worth it. That’s just gonna upset people and make them delete StarWordz . HOWEVER, there are other things you could charge for that would make more sense and wouldn’t make people rage.
1) Custom background instead of just having stars (import images from photo album)
2) Custom music (John Williams Star Wars theme can be the default. Purchasing the premium version allows extra music as well as importing music from their purchased Music
3) Custom text (change the font, and color. Maybe even add effects to the text itself)
I want to see StarWordz improve and charging $1.99 just to change the title is frustrating and makes you look greedy. If you simply can’t bring yourself to change this feature, perhaps offer the option to watch an ad and unlock the ability to change the that one time. Don’t make yourself look like EA, releasing attractive apps to bring users in just to find themselves in the middle of a cash grab. You’re better than this

While very cool in premise StarWordz is buggy as hell. I often find that when trying to go back and edit my text StarWordz will cut paragraphs in half and I cant scroll through the entirety of my text. I have also tried using the record feature but every time I touch the screen to end the recording I am brought back to the menu with no option to save. I like what you can do with StarWordz and don’t mind the .99 to get the title but it’s useless if I can’t save the work and share it.

The foundation is all there as far as editing and .99 cents isn’t a lot to ask for...however I really want to be able to record or download the video after I make it and my iPhone won’t do it. Also, the music functionality only works about 10% of the time and when I go to fix mistakes in my typing StarWordz deletes everything I did before. Super buggy that way. Please fix this in an update. I really want to use this regularly for a Star Wars game I’m running.

I like StarWordz and don’t mind using the free version. What I don’t like is how all the bad ratings but yet no one has come up with a better one. I also wonder how much it would cost if they did. It would be more than a dollar I assume. Could it be better? Of course! But then it probably wouldn’t be free. I do wish I could use my item back ground and video or even music and for a dollar I would pay for that. The people I send messages to like them and that’s all that matters to me.

The only problem I have with StarWordz is that it allows you to record a video of what is on the screen and the first time that you run that it ask you whether you want the screen only or the screen in the microphone. If you choose the screen and the microphone it then records the video, the sound from the video and whatever else is happening in the room. There is no way to reset this so it now continuously records everything around me while the video is playing. It will be nice to be able to reset this option or select a different option

Bought StarWordz and had some initial problems with it (was unable to get the video clip to iMovie) but the developer responded to my emails and helped me fix it. Overall it’s pretty good and I like it and would recommend it.

I’m not entirely sure if this is possible? Cause I am in no stretch a developer and knowing what rights need to be had to do this or what not, but I’d like to see the Clone Wars 2008 intro be available to be played.
I tried doing it with the “Add your own music” button, but it would not let me upload any music into the Music section.
Otherwise, it’s very enjoyable, and I have a Star Wars Roleplaying game by Fantasy Flight Games that I will be hosting and I’ll send my opening crawl to all my players.

I’ve enjoyed StarWordz a lot since downloading it - it’s been a great deal of fun. The text crawl looks pretty near perfect.

My only issue with this is I can’t add new music. I’ll click the plus button in the music tab, StarWordz will load iTunes for a millisecond, and then it closes back into StarWordz again with the blue bar continuously moving along the top as of its buffering, then never does anything more.

I’d sure appreciate some help from the developer to fix that bug. StarWordz would be a 5/5 in my book if that music functionality would work.

StarWordz seemed pretty great, and it worked, until I got the genius idea to copy and paste the entire bee movie script into it. Now it crashes every time I try to open it. But it will probably work with anything else.

Pro: Really cool. Honestly in this new online world for teaching I needed something to show off my love of Star Wars and this is perfect to add to my Google Slides.
Con: This is the only reason it’s 4/5 and you need to fix the add music feature. Or as a developer please add more Star Wars songs, opening songs from all the different movies including Rogue One. The closing song, imperial March, etc.

The game creators made you pay because they worked really hard on this. They could have 99 cents! Can’t they have some credit? And don’t get too mad about it it’s just a game!

I have never been impressed by a software ignore all the haters this is amazing for movies the only thing that is annoying is that you have to upgrade to change the title but that’s a little compared to the rest

OMG I love this and I am a SERIOUS STAR WARS fan. It looks and sounds like a real intro and the in app purchases are not that much. I sent one to my friend and and she thought it was great. You can make some really funny videos and share them with your loved ones (you can
even do pranks with it if u want) Overall StarWordz is amazing and I absolutely LOVE IT. . .

I really like StarWordz! Fun for short fan movies and well as a really cool way to do announcements. The 99¢ to change title to customize it more is a no brainer not is it too much to ask. I will say though recently the music isn’t lining up correctly but could be a user issue. Still a really fun app!

StarWordz fit my needs perfectly. You have to pay for StarWordz if you want to change the main title, but you can do the rest for free. The title is a small thing compared to rest of what you can customize, so it’s not really a big deal that you can’t change that one thing. My brothers and I are using it for our Star Wars D&D, because apparently, we are huge nerds. It’s a fun app, thank you for making it.

I put the Bee Movie Script as the crawl and obviously it crashed StarWordz , but because it keeps trying to pull up the last viewed crawl I had to delete and redownload StarWordz . Oof
