Looks fun, but can’t connect multiple phones

The added app looks like it could add more playability to Laser Ops, but this app is very frustrating trying to connect multiple iPhones. I have made 3 new apple accounts for my sons iPhone 5S, after reading the developer reviews, and still cannot connect multiple devices for these laser blasters.
We can use multiple laser ops blasters on one device, but we really could like to try each having their own device per blaster.
Also, solo player isn’t an option because you need a phone mount for it- which it did NOT include in the 2 pack. Apparently the mount is only included in the single blasters.
This app is almost as disappointing as the Recoil brand... but at least with the Nerf version we do not need to connect any devices, or we could use a single device- but still a let down.
iPad version doesn't rotate

It's not that the app only works in landscape. Or only works in portrait mode. The app doesn't rotate AT ALL. No matter which direction you're holding your device. The app presents 180° degrees from how I normally use my iPad.
(I'm not happy with the iOS 10 requirement either, although I understand that's probably more an Apple thing than a developer thing. If I'm letting my kid run around like crazy with a device strapped to the end of their laser blaster, it's going to be an older, almost obsolete piece of hardware and not my current phone.)
Constant trouble in multi player

Hey nerf team, please reach out to me and let me know why some of the guns do not show points at the end of a multiplayer around. My boys and I have been playing this for a couple weeks now and I’ve yet to be able to record all of our points when we play. This is really frustrating since we want to know who wins. Please reach out to me if you have answers.
