Love this app!!

I’ve really enjoyed SnowReportForecast for early season winter, both for city and mountain weather conditions. Two comments:

1) I would love to see snowtel data incorporated into SnowReportForecast somehow so that you can also see snow depth for a given area.

2) the hourly forecast feature has lots of great data points, but when scrolling into the future it’s easy to forget what each of those variables actually correspond to. It would be great to see the leftmost column that specifies these values become a “floater” so that you can always see the title of the value on the left hand side. Please reach out if you have any questions!!

Lots of limitation notices

I like the long explanation messages about NOAA updates because they let me know when there will be an update and the limitations of the data (staleness, accuracy, originating weather station.) It appears that the developer is willing to listen to customer feedback. The price of SnowReportForecast is for convenience of viewing the free data in a mobile format, and I am fine with paying a small upfront price for convenience and no ads. The data could be displayed a little more concisely in a bar graph (like an old 32-bit iOS snow app), but overall this gets the job done.

CollMaine

Thought the free version was great and for the price of a cup of coffee I was able to get the yearly subscription with a ton of other features. Can’t beat the price for what you get. Would like to see the snow forecast out a little further, but I know it can get pretty unreliable the further out it goes. I still haven’t explored all the features yet and am already letting my coworkers know how good SnowReportForecast is. Thanks for an awesome app!

Not a fan

I so far have not enjoyed the new app, that I had to pay for. The previous free app was much better. The format was easier to follow - and it was actually accurate. SnowReportForecast states we were going to get 3.4” of snow this morning when snow was never in the forecast for us. So what gives? Disappointed that I lost the old app and paid for the new one, and it’s worse.

Edit: yet another NON-forecast that said we had 5.1” fall on Monday and it didn’t snow at all. Said we got a dusting the next day. Nothing happened. And I haaaaate the format. The fact that I have to add .17 this hour to .47 the next and then .23 the next.....I just really hate SnowReportForecast.

pinpoint forecast is awesome

I never write reviews but had to for SnowReportForecast because it is so awesome. I got SnowReportForecast over a year ago and have now used it for almost two ski seasons. 100% worth the money to buy. I was able to drop pinpoints on the base of all the mountains I usually ski and it has been extremely accurate. I look at SnowReportForecast almost every Monday-Tuesday to see if I will be going up on the weekend or not.

New app not so great.

First off it’s really not cool that I paid for SnowReportForecast and poof it quit working. You just updated a new one and are making everyone pay to add it? Other apps just update and don’t charge. Also, the new one is harder to use. I have 2 so called stations near me just a mile or 2 apart yet one says to expect 4” of snow and one says 0”??? Something is not right. Now I paid for an app that quit working and a new one that’s no good. 😓
Edit- I have tested this new app through 2 more snowstorms. It’s still way off in the snow amounts. Also, it continues to report completely different between the two stations just a couple miles apart.

Disappointed not!

I miss the old version NOAA snow app it seemed to have simpler functionality. However now that I have learned how to use SnowReportForecast I’m happy to say I like it. It took some getting used to but it seems to be working well. I have even used it in Montreal where it is essential. Also the developer was extremely responsive to my concerns that impressive all by itself. No refund needed.

Thanks

First impression - very nice

Just downloaded this, and my initial impression is very positive. I am an off-road first responder in the backcountry, and absolutely rely on accurate weather reporting. I have several sources and this seems to be a good consolidated resource.

I’ll post another review after I’ve used it for a while and compared to my other resources.

Not only the quick response but the instructions were clear and beyond helpful. Thank you🙏🏻

Can you not get snowfalls stats for your EXACT location?

I added my current location and when I click on that screen, it tells me what the weather forecast is going to be. Not what it was. On the weather station page, you have to choose your closest station and it does not give you information on snowfall in my location but in theirs. Although it is about 10 miles away, they received less snow than I did. Wouldn’t have paid for SnowReportForecast if I didn’t know I couldn’t get my exact location.

Spot on

Five star rating for a spot on service. I have about three sites within 2 miles of my primary residence. I’ve been paying the annual premium and it has been well worth it. Snow forecasts have been spot on every time and I can’t think of a better compliment. Thank you such a great winter weather application.

Lots of info at my fingertips

It took me a little while to get used to using SnowReportForecast, but now that I have I appreciate all of the detailed info I can get.

Also I contacted the developer with a question and received a response very quickly.

The only negative feedback I have is when using it on my iPad it can only be viewed in portrait orientation. I would love to have a landscape option.

Most Accurate Snow Forecast App

I have lived in the mountains of Washington State for more then 25 years and have always struggled to get an accurate forecast in the winter. SnowReportForecast has been the most accurate prediction for my location this year. It helps me to be more prepared for what is coming. Keep up the good work!

Precision tool for Powder Hounds

I’ve been a powder hound dating back to when we would watch the snow reports in Utah to help predict where and when it would be in Colorado. I use SnowReportForecast in conjunction with avalanche zones, ski areas, and other data to enhance my success in being there. Finally, an app for those who truly love to sniff out the big snow on the big mountain...............great!!!! Thanks!!!!!!! 5+

Great App...for iPhone

Just got SnowReportForecast before our first significant snowfall of the season in Denver. Works great on iPhone. Lots of details and customization option. I like that one app is compatible on both iPhone and iPad, but iPad version only works in Portrait Mode. Wish the option to view in Landscape Mode was available.

Always updating

I am giving up on the Snow Report and Forecast app. Well over 50% of the time it reports that there is an update in progress. This happens at all times of the day and month (not just on the first, not just in the morning or early afternoon). It happens for hours at a time. This has been happening all winter, not just today. I manage to get a clean forecast for all the three areas I check maybe 25% of the time and fore my home area, CCOW3, maybe 50% of the time. I don’t mind paying for an app, but I expect it to work.

Very accurate!

I work at a mountain resort so it’s important for me to have an accurate source for predicting snowfall. Last week the local radio station was calling for 1-3” and SnowReportForecast predicted 6”+ and we ended up getting 7” of snowfall that day. Given how inconsistent the weather man is this is a good option for accurate snow forecast.

Excellent!

Excellent! I have to Drive from TX to CO and back every few months and it’s a great tool for gauging weather conditions along my route! It let’s you favorite all of the weather stations along your route to get immediate weather and forecasted weather.

Thought it was free

Every time I go into an app I look to see if there is an IN APP charge. There was NO in app charge so I added it to my list. It’s a great app and I go in SnowReportForecast to see the weather for my area and if there is going to be any rain or snow. So when I shows no app charge there should be no app charge.

Bad GUI Design

App always starts on a map screen instead of showing you the information you downloaded SnowReportForecast for to begin with, to see how much snow is going to fall where you live.

No information is pushed to your device to alert you to an incoming heavy snowfall.

Getting around SnowReportForecast is just confusing and not thought out. No care taken to minimize the clicks needed to take you to the information you’re looking for.

Great App

Reading over the reviews it seems as usual the SJW Millennials everything for free, despite being the generation of “sit on the couch and do nothing but complain”. I’m happy to pay to support developers who don’t throw in IAP buy gold/gem scams to their products. SnowReportForecast does what is expected. Obviously the forecast comes from the government (NOAA?) and not SnowReportForecast developer so why anyone would accuse SnowReportForecast developer of an inaccurate forecast shows true stupidity. Please keep up the good work and ignore the lazy lunatic leftists. Thank you!
