The quantity of the ads used to high in quantity, but tolerable enough that i still played the game. Just opened up the game today and started playing, and twice within the same five minutes (without me clicking on any pop-ups), it has taken me out of 2048Bricks to open up those fake websites. y’know, like those ones that say you won something to trick you either into downloading a virus or into giving someone your bank information? There’s no point in getting this game if you can just get a different game app that just shows you the regular ads and then lets you hit the x and go back to playing.
I have been playing this game for almost two years. The ads don’t bother me. What does is the game locking up. I will place the block in an area and it will freeze and once it comes back in 5-10 seconds it lands where it wants to. Which in return messes me up. Also there has been several times I don’t get the second chance it just freezes and then end. I don’t see any updates and I did the troubleshooting and it still messes up. Fix the game please
I understand ads, I do, and that’s ok BUT since they were added the game freezes and glitches so much that you’re constantly losing. No fun when you’re about to beat your high score and you keep losing because the game places blocks whenever it wants with the glitches.
Update: I took a month break from this and IT GOT WORSE! Now the animated ads you get during the game glitch it SO MUCH MORE! Forcing blocks down or not allowing you to move them! What are you doing?! You’re not going to make money off the ads if people start deleting 2048Bricks because they can’t even play.
Be aware that doing the 1.99 in app purchase DOES NOT remove the ads! In fact, you will experience the appearance of an icon interrupting your field of play that takes you to the store to buy a different game. This isn’t a bad game, and it would have been a fun diversion had it not been for the dishonesty of the game maker. It would have gotten more stars otherwise.
I am updating my review and removing a star. While gameplay can be enjoyable, there is now an audio commercial that plays automatically during gameplay. THIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE when one has paid the price to have ads removed. This company seems to lack integrity and honesty. What a shame.
2048 is fun. This game is fun. But I can’t put up with their dumb ad system. While you are playing there will be an ad at ALL TIMES just sitting there and god forbid if you click it by accident. The game keeps going so your in some terrible situation after the 10 seconds of agony. Want to pause? To bad your seeing an ad for PUBG Mobile first then your at the pause screen with yet another PUBG Mobile ad taking up the bottom 1/3 of the screen. Oh yeah sometimes an ad appears for no seeming reason too. (When I say PUBG Mobile it can apply to whatever company payed then but currently it’s only that). There is no sort of volume control for video ads either. Someone was talking to me from downstairs so I paused the game only to not hear the rest of what they said and had to have them repeat it because PUBG. Oh yeah and the game will sometimes lag for no reason either. OH YEAH game overs. You can watch an ad to get various benefits uhg. It cost to remove the ads too. The game is fun but still stay away before you just give them more paper to light their cigars with
I really love this game. The layout and concept is awesome... However, every single time I got to open 2048Bricks to play, it loads and shuts out. I close it and reopen it. It seriously closes out anywhere from 5-10 times before I can finally get it to load all the way and actually open to play. Plus the ADs.... yes. So annoying. I completely understand the concept and use for ads in apps.... but the excessiveness is absolutely a buzz kill... hopefully these are things they can fix.
The game becomes very sluggish and unresponsive as your score gets higher, and tiles start piling up, which leads to errors not caused by the player, but by malfunction of the game. For example, tiles will fall where you didn’t intend them to. It happens almost every time I play, and it has happened on multiple devices. It gets very frustrating when you’re doing well, but lose the game on a malfunction, which you sometimes can’t recover from, or when several happen consecutively.
I love this game, but it has a horrible bug right now where an ad will start playing when you open 2048Bricks and it won’t pause your game, so your high point game ends because the blocks keep stacking while you’re trying to close the ad as quickly as possible. I’m pretty sure I paid to have ads removed, so I don’t even know why I’m getting these. Please fix it!
I love the concept of the game, and could play it for awhile at a time, BUT it needs some bugs fixed, and BAD.
This game DRAINS my battery like no other game I’ve played, and more than watching videos. After 5+ minutes it makes my iPhone 11 Pro get hot, and it eventually force quits the game which is annoying. ALSO, the farther along you get in the game, the less responsive it is to moving the brick from side to side. It often will only go straight down or will just glitch to the bottom without notice. While I love this game, I am tempted to delete it as it has become frustrating.
I enjoy the game. It’s simple yet gratifyingly challenging. My biggest complaint is the ads. As the ads change at the bottom of the screen they cause terrible glitches and completely sabotage the game. It might be possible to chalk that up as an added challenge, but there are certain ads that cause 2048Bricks to shut down altogether. Glitches include bricks becoming non responsive to navigational attempts as well as falling without control of the player. I just finished playing a game where an ad caused 5 bricks to fall without anything I could do to control them, they stacked and it ended the game I had only just started. There are games where I can get the score over 100,000 but most are sabotaged by about 30,000. If the ads issue was fixed I’d give this game 5 stars. It’s fun, time consuming, and a great mental exercise. But the glitches are frustrating and just make me want to delete the game altogether.
It's a good game, very addictive too. Whenever I switch between apps, and have it paused on and off, the game will not respond and I will have to restart 2048Bricks frequently. After that some of the same bricks are touching but it doesn't double. Fun game, but frustrating glitches.
EDIT
I just had another weird glitch. It was flashing tap to play here and making weird clicking noises in the middle of a game? Then it took me back to the home screen and resumed my game. Very strange 🤔
Loved this game outta the gate. Figured out a strategy and went to town. No issues to mention at first. Now I keep running into what I assume is a malfunction where the brick won’t slide making it very frustrating. You’re sliding your finger all over the screen trying to get the dang thing to react and that’s not working, so then you start tapping outta frustration and it hyper speed poops out three bricks straight down. Good way to ruin a high score. You’re optimistic so you start a new game and the same thing happens, but just earlier. So you can that game and start over and hope it doesn’t happen again. I run into a similar issue when coming out of pause, but instead the ad pops up over the game but the game doesn’t stop in the background. Real cool. I’ve never wrote a review before so, I think this speaks to the current love/hate relationship I have going on with the game.
Good supplement to the original 2048. What they need to do is add a pause before new bricks come down or make the pause an option. The original 2048 is still amazing and that game gave you all the time to decide what your next move was going to be. Because this game automatically pops the bricks together it would be great if you could decide where to place the new bricks to maximize the effect of the new brick and be prepared for the next brick.
I love this game but for the love of god PLEASE move the “end current game” button somewhere FAR away from the “continue” button. It would be 5 starts if not for that. The way my phone lags (like phones do when they are a couple years old) makes it incredibly common for the end game button to get clicked when I’m at 900,000 points just because it’s so close to the continue button.
Can you PLEASE add an “are you sure” prompt to “end current game”? I have accidentally hit that twice now when coming back to games and it’s wasted hours of work. Or move the button further from continue. No reason to put user games at risk like this.
Highly addictive, I spend too much time on this game 🤦♂️
Downsides of this game; You move the incoming blocks to the side and drop, and then realize that it didn't drop to the intended target and it might eventually cost someone the entire game. I suggest the developers add an undo button or something to rectify that.
Another one is that the continue button does not respond sometimes after pausing the game and you have to close the entire game and open again. That should be rectified as well..
Wish there was a way to pause during the game and still be able to see/analyze the structure and come up with a strategy. If I pause it just throws me out of the game.
When I get back in into a game in process, it has to give me like 3 seconds before it restarts. Sometimes before we get to see what’s coming next during restart where we left off, the tiles keep falling.
Finally, at the very end when the game’s over, I want to see where I went wrong on how o could’ve played better. Show me the frozen image before exiting. And allow me to get out to start a new game.
Hi! If you love 2048 and Tetris games, you’ll love 2048 Bricks.
But I’d love to see the developers fix this issue: I accidentally click on the banner ads from time to time. Sometimes the game pauses and sometimes the game continues behind the ad. I don’t mind the ads - hey, I know how they pay for this game to be “free”... but it stinks coming back to the game and finding bricks stacked up the center...
Thanks for a great game!
I enjoyed this game a lot! I admire how it was build to challenge the brain and give the player limited time to think about their next move based off of the block that will be used next. It has helped me think about what happens next in the game itself AND every day life. I love that every time I fail, I come back knowing so much more and my strategies get better. I’ve raced with some of my friends that knew how to strategize and boy, were we all neck to neck! I ended up becoming one of the last to loose. Enough about me though! This is a review about the game! Everything above can be summarized in 4 syllables: Fun for the brain. I ❤️ this game, and I’m telling my teachers, other friends, and long line of family about this brainteaser!
I play this game all the time. It's like tetris in that the blocks fall automatically so you can look away if you want, or tap if you're focused on the game - but better than tetris because it doesn't speed up, and your accomplishments show in a different color instead of disappearing. Simple and fun :)
