It doesn’t even work most of the time. I found a piece to complete a puzzle, put the piece in, nothing happened, clicked out of it and back in multiple times, finally used a hint, and it told me to click on it, which is what I had been doing, but it only worked after I used a hint. There were multiple other times that I was doing something right or putting the right answer in, but it would only accept it after I used the hint. To use a hint you either have to pay money or watch an ad, and there’s ads at the top and bottom of the screen and if you accidentally clicked on one you have to find the tiny “x” to close it out and then it forces you to watch another ad after you close it out. It seems like it’s only purpose is to push ads and the smallest amount of effort possible was put into the actual game.

Would be great with some adjustments

Don’t get me wrong, I love the game. I’ve played nearly every level that isn’t locked. But it’s incredibly annoying to be absolutely flooded with ads all of the time. I start or leave a level - ad break. I check a notification on my phone - ad break. I tap the wrong part of the screen - ad break.

I have apps on my phone where I’ve paid to remove unnecessary ads, especially when I want to support the developers! But this is just too many ads, and there is no option to even limit the amount of them on your phone.

Enjoyable game - however buyers beware!

Edit: I took down stars because I bougjt the big beginner's pack and unlocked a story with 100 coins but I only have a few days to play it before it's locked again - what gives?! I paid money to unlock a story and you tell me now that I can't even keep it to be replayed?

I enjoy this game a lot - it's become a routine now to play a few games every day and test my brains. There are so many variations and even though I've played like 40 of these now they are still so fresh and challenging that I often find myself having to use hints here and there. Only change I wish is that the stories would all have that little blurb / story behind it when you first play that tell you about the situation. The games with those - like finding a gift that your grandma left, or finding a potion to fly, are more memorable than the ones without!

A mix of fun and frustration

I was excited to try this escape room app since I enjoy puzzle games during my downtime. The basic concept is fun, and I really appreciate how they add new rooms regularly. The camera function is super helpful for keeping track of clues, and I love that you don't have to take manual notes.

EscapeRooms 's visuals and design feel pretty dated though - the graphics look like they're from a decade ago, and the interface isn't particularly user-friendly. Some items are hard to spot due to the basic graphics, and the room layouts can feel clunky and awkward to navigate. While these aren't deal-breakers, they do take away from the immersion.

The free content is decent, but the difficulty levels can be inconsistent - some puzzles feel too easy while others make huge logical leaps. It's an okay way to pass time, but there are better escape room apps out there.

This escape room game is awesome!

As the title states, this escape room game is really fun and enjoyable to play! There are multiple aspects that contribute to this, such as the music, funny characters and animations, and the overall work put into the game. I’ve just started, but this has consistently been my impression over 5 levels or so. The puzzles are very well designed and will definitely boost your critical thinking skills (for puzzles) or at least your pattern recognition abilities. I highly recommend downloading if you enjoy any sort of puzzle games or escape room games in general!

Awesome Escape games...

I totally enjoy your escape games they keep me thinking logically and sometimes “outside the box”. I like that you are constantly adding more to the portal. There are very uniquely cultural themes and games in EscapeRooms portal. I really like the idea of the timer for timing yourself, cause I like to go back and play the games over and over again to improve my time (and brain reaction time).
I have had only one game in EscapeRooms that doesn’t want to work. The “Castle” tag game crashes every time I try to play it. Can you fix? (That is the only reason why I have not given 5 stars.) So far all the other “tag” games have worked without a problem. Doing an excellent job, keep the “escape games” coming.

Best escape library

My favorite of the escape game libraries because this one is intensely cute, has logical puzzles that rarely require pen and paper to solve, packs a lot of puzzle into each game, and updates at least monthly. Most items in the environment are related to the game, which I find more satisfying.

Start watching the videos for coins as soon as you get hooked, and always play the mini-game at the end. You don’t positively need coins except to unlock the handful of locked games and to play new levels early, but those are both good things to do.

中指😂😂😂

I’ve been playing these games for a long time, they are really fun and cute and I am super excited every time a new one comes out. I have been working really hard learning Japanese and kanji for about six months so it’s always kind of fun to find Japanese words in the games. In the latest release I finally saw the kanji for nakayubi and I have to say it made me laugh out loud. Thank you guys for the super fun content and also thanks for your sense of humor! Keep up the good work 😁

Great games that test your brain!

These are great escape room games that provide a good mental challenge. There is a mixed difficulty level. On some of the harder levels I’ve had to ask for hints. You can either spend money to buy coins or earn free coins by watching short 15-30 second adds. I really appreciate having that option. I usually choose to watch the ads, but sometimes I buy coins just to support the developer. This is a game that is worth paying for.

FAVORITE

By far one of my favorite escape room games, so many levels, ways to get free hints, but even if you’d like to buy hints they don’t cost an arm and a leg. Only like a couple second ads but they’re never when you’re mid-game unless you back out of EscapeRooms and go back in without fully exiting it from your running apps. I will say, the “puzzles” do become repetitive but the way of finding the answers for them are not. The characters are super adorable! Just love and recommend to those who enjoy escape rooms!

Sky land

Currently playing sky land and I love that it says it’s hard because I enjoy the difficulty.

But this is IMPORTANT! Devs please pay attention to the symbols in yellow where the pig is under. Specifically the one all the way to the left. Do you see what I see? I am sure others have spotted this. Please be aware of this and change it. Thanks!

In other words please change what looks like a Nazi symbol... As a designer myself, I’m not really sure how this went unnoticed. The letters should go inward and would serve the same purpose. I will edit this review once the change has been made.

Love it

If you like puzzle games and escape rooms then this is the game for you. It’s challenging at times but fun. The clues are easy to follow and make it possible to know where to go next. But, if you get lost just press the light button and you can get a clue. Each level could take a while so this is the kind of game you need to have about an hour to play so you can complete the level in one session. But the game is well designed and you can always leave and come back. If you played Exits and are looking for more of the same kind of puzzles this is it. EscapeRooms is filled with 100’s of hours of game play and it’s all for free. Also has a bonus game in Each level once complete. I have been looking for this game for way too long. Super excited to playa levels.

Glory to Nakayubi Corporation

This is by far the single best app on EscapeRooms Store today. This escape room app has almost doubled my screen time and has given me a reason to use my iPad again. I play this game everyday and do one puzzle a day so I can savour the enjoyment for as long as possible. The only, and I mean ONLY, thing I have even the slightest problem with is that there isn’t more puzzles. There is so many puzzles to choose from but I love this game so much I cannot get enough even with the massive selection. I will be naming a future dog or child after Nakayubi.

Updated review

I have faced some problems with watching the ads and I have written my complaint here. I have also contacted the support team through email. They have kindly and quickly replied and fixed the problem. Apart from that, this game is my favorite so far, and I’m afraid that I will run out of rooms soon. I’m having fun with imagining myself stuck in each room trying to escape from it. The mini puzzles are sometimes complex and challenging which make the game unpredictable and innovative. I really respect the team behind the development and support of this game.

My favorite!

I LOVE the escape games from Nakayubi and it's really nice to have them all in one place. The storylines are cute and the graphics are awesome! Puzzles are challenging but not impossible. The amusement park level is my favorite because there is so much to explore. I love the coin system because you can earn coins and use them for things like hints and I'm a big fan of the mini games too! The only complaint I have is that they retire older levels and it takes 100 coins to unlock then, which is a lot of coins! Other than that, I look forward to playing more levels!! Keep up the great work!! 🎉🎉

Look forward to Nakayubi game releases like it's a new episode of Game of Thrones

Love these! They're entertaining enough to keep you interested whilst also being straightforward enough to make you frustrated (like some utterly illogical escape games can be only to force you to watch 2 minute ads for clues 😹). The graphics are nice and clean. Most of all, I appreciate how much care and attention the dev puts into creating these. He's one of the rare ones who create so that the public can enjoy them. Those are the kind of people I want to support, so I happily pay in-app for games created ethically as an expression of my gratitude for all their hard work and pure hearts. Good people FTW! ✌️

I love it 🫶🏼

I have only had Escape Rooms for a couple of days and I’ve come to love it in such a short time. I downloaded it while in bed recovering from Covid and it has definitely helped me distract myself.

It is unlike other escape room games that I’ve played before because of how clear it is. All the animation is also so cute which I really appreciate. The developers have put great thought into everything and I enjoy how organised it is. I think it is fair… if want a hint then watch a full ad or buy coins. No limit to how many hints you can get with ads if you’re really struggling.

One small thing I think could be improved is keeping the in-game “screenshots” saved even after closing EscapeRooms as sometimes after watching an app it may crash or block so I need to crash EscapeRooms to continue and then all of my in-game screenshots are lost and sometimes I forget what point I was at.

I hope that I’ll be able to use this game even without internet as I have a long-haul flight coming up. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼

Keep at it Yakaubi 🫶🏼

Last update broke an amazing app

The most recent update (approximately 2/22) made it so that this outstanding app no longer opens on my phone. It gets slightly beyond the title and quits. I’m crushed. It’s been a wonderful diversion and brought me so many hours of entertainment that I can’t give it less than 4 stars, even if I can’t access it at the moment. Nakayubi Corp. makes some of the best escape games, both as their collections and some incredibly good individual ones, and I’m sincerely hoping they fix what broke this one. I have an iPhone X running iOS 11.4, and EscapeRooms says that it should be compatible. Has been until this last update, anyhow. Please fix it.

Darling Down to the Details!

I'm really enjoying these Nakayubi escape "rooms," although they're really better-described by calling them escape sceneries. The sheer number of games within both EscapeRooms and the Exits app makes for a truly endless playing experience. I love the wholesomeness to these games: very cute, no violence, no inappropriate innuendos, and a certain repetition of theme elements that creates a feeling of familiarity to keep you wanting more. Down to the details such as reflections in glassware, the graphics developers have really done their homework and present consistent talent that is highly appreciated. Kudos for apps that don't cost real money unless you really want to spend it. So easy to get hooked on these well-executed escape scenes! Thank you, Nakayubi!

⭐️QUICK REVIEW⭐️

I may or may not being too enthusiastic but this game has my best interest and I would like to give it some support

**My Opinion**
1. EscapeRooms was a great way to pass the time, its interesting but not addicting and easy to put aside when I need to get work done.

**Game Review**
1. Difficulty is just right, a perfect puzzle game for brain exercises.
2. Really cute, the scenes were perfect. There’s enough details to look at but it’s not so overwhelming that it’s sore to the eyes and distracting.

**What I would love to see more**
1. More unrealistic/fantasy and eerie themed escape rooms like the mystery museums and the tea party, the oddities of the designs sparks interest and creativity.
2. Slice of life (similar concepts)
The decayed sanctuary, Las Vegas and the cabin are some of my favorites.
3. Horror and paranormal themes. something like the horror hotel, I don’t expect anything too scary.

AAAAAAAAA I really hope the developers will continue updating this game, I will definitely stick around for future updates💝💝💝
