Ok, so I got FindMyCar on App Advice for free. I was ready to try this out. I parked the car and makes it. I went into a store and came out. I tried to locate the car and wanted to try the sweet sweet augmented reality feature. Oh! You can’t unless you have the pro version! So let me get this straight........I have to pay to try the feature that makes this different from the other find my car apps? I’m not paying $1.99 to TRY the feature. Otherwise, FindMyCar is no different, in fact it’s more confusing, than any other find my car app I have. I guess I can’t use FindMyCar because I’m not paying for it. Why feature it on App Advice if you can’t use it unless you pay? I’m a sucker! FindMyCar looked like it might be better than the others, but I guess I won’t know. A generous three stars is what I give FindMyCar for potential. Can’t give more for something I can’t use. You should at least off an opportunity to TRY it first before somebody spends $1.99. No good business.

Got FindMyCar off AppAdvice as pro version. Worked ok but after updating, it wants me to buy it for 2$ but I won’t just out of principle because it was offered as a free app. I have shared FindMyCar with others and I’m assuming that is the reason behind offering the pro version of FindMyCar for free and I get it, however, it now seems like it was just bait to spread the word and the try and make me pay upon updating would maybe give it 5 stars if it didn’t appear to look like greed. It’s too bad, I really wanted to keep FindMyCar . Just calling it as it appears. Well it’s not the first developer app from app advice to do this and I’m sure it won’t be the last. As they say, “It is what it is.”

Listed on AppAdvice as free today, but it's not, it's a scam. You still have to buy the Pro upgrade. So, really I would assume FindMyCar is always free initially and the developer just gets it listed with AppAdvice to draw in customers. If you look at past reviews from at least a year ago it looks like this isn't the first time this developer has pulled this stunt.

Again, I'm not convinced FindMyCar ever cost an initial price and the developer just uses AppAdvice to lure customers in, which is totally unethical in my book. I would not recommend FindMyCar at all. Using the AppAdvice service this way is completely shady and crooked.

And I would advise others not to upgrade to the Pro version. Because, after reading through many reviews for FindMyCar it looks as though even if you do pay for the Pro version, that it won't be activated and your money will be stolen essentially and you'll get nothing in return. It appears to me that FindMyCar is just ONE HUGE SCAM. AVOID ⚠⚠⚠ FindMyCar and developer big time!

I got this And like many of the other users found that when I upgraded the apps features did not reflect the upgrade. When I went to restore the purchase, FindMyCar said it had upgraded and would restore the features, but then got stuck.

I deleted FindMyCar and reinstalled it, and when I restored the purchase, FindMyCar immediately made available the pro features.

The upgrade is BUGGY BUT WORKS

FindMyCar will let me know when my car is parked at home, but not when it’s parked in a place that I need to actually find it! Right now I’m sitting in a hotel room, the car is parked somewhere in a parking garage nearby, but there are three parking garages and I don’t remember which parking garage I used.

And I can’t get directions because it tells me there’s no way to get there.

But earlier, when the car was 10 feet away, I got a notification that said your car is parked nearby. Yeah that’s real helpful.

I set it to where I was and it set my car in the woods, several miles down the road and on the wrong side of the hwy. Haven’t figured out anything else except park car. The free version did go smoothly to get and its probably correct that you need to activate it the day you buy it for the limited time free. Purchase for $0.00 should be showing. I was hoping this WAS a YOU ARE HERE app for the car and not a WE PERFER YOU HERE with your car. I doubt it is even physically able for me to park my car where FindMyCar showed except if I were on foot, needing to wear a hunting outfit, carrying deer license on me.

I have the paid version. Worked twice - more often it shows my car at home. The blue dot does show where I am, but my car shows at home. I’ve tapped all the buttons. I tried it in my car when the car is still running. I tried it when the car is stopped. I’ve tried it while I’m sitting in the restaurant. Right now I’m sitting at Panera, I tapped all the buttons and it still shows my car at home.

Can this be specified ?? I have 2 cars?

I upgraded to the PRO version and worked great for a while And now it's not working. after trying to restart my phone to see if this solved the issue; nothing. So I deleted FindMyCar and downloaded FindMyCar again. Now it wants me to $pay again for the Pro version that I've already paid. There's no support or anyone you can try to contact pertaining issues. 😡😡😡😡

FindMyCar is a lifesaver for when you park in a busy lot and can’t remember where you parked.
However, the words to the buttons are crooked to the left, to the point where it’s a guessing game to find the “park car” button.
Also, it’d be better if this had a “restore purchases” button.
Other than that, it helps.

DO NOT ATTEMPT to make in-app purchases using this ‘free’ version of FindMyCar entitled “Find My Car-Car Locator”.

Unfortunately, the ‘Radar’ and ‘Augmented Reality’ features do not operate EVEN after the in-app purchase is made and EVEN after FindMyCar acknowledges that the in-app purchase was bought. You will lose money.

If you want to access the ‘Radar’ and ‘Augmented Reality’ features you’ll need to pay. Search for “Find My Car-Car Locator Pro” by Gaurav Babbar.

Upgraded to pro when I downloaded it and now the pro features are gone and there is no way to “restore purchases” or even select pro again. No response from developer. Is this another take the money and run? FindMyCar Store needs to stop ignoring how the developers are ripping off FindMyCar Store customers. Reporting these to Apple doesn’t seem to do any good anymore as nothing is ever done. This is happening more and more.

It’s not FindMyCar I thought it was my car was in the shop in another city but the fine my car app said it was parked home.

I got this as a FREE app with a FREE upgrade to the PRO version. It is really cool so far. I will follow up after I use it a few more times. Thank you, Developer and AppAdvice. This will come in handy, especially during the holidays.

Down loaded via AppAdvice who claimed that today only, you can upgrade to the Pro version free of charge, only I downloaded and it will not let me upgrade to Pro...
Very disappointed, thought this would be a great app, I will try it out and see if it’s any good with the basic service..

FindMyCar makes no sense, I was dumb Enough to pay the $1.99 and the only location it shows is right outside my house when in fact my car is 10 miles away, FindMyCar doesn’t show you nothing ,do not waste your time or money on something that’s so ridiculous!! I’m trying to figure out how they even no what car is mine, we have 3 Subaru’s parked and only 1 is mine? Such a scam!!!

The map showed my car location but also showed shops and restaurants that either no longer existed or moved years earlier!! Maps seriously need updating

Can’t imagine being without this, on the spot, app that always finds my car when I forget to note it’s location l!

I usually don’t do this, but FindMyCar is awesome. Really well thought out, easy to use, and very accurate.

This is an application that every automobile owner should have. In this modern era, vehicle parking errors that can result in forgotten parking locations can result in extreme stress and false law enforcement reporting.

If you’ve lost your car this will save you a lot of walking.

I have contacted them a month ago no word back I have the pro version but I can’t restore my purchase it keep trying to charge me plus they store your location with no way to delete it in history. I will be contacting Apple. If I could tell anyone anything I would say stay clear of FindMyCar.

After purchasing the pro version of FindMyCar , it won’t allow me to use its features! The advertising continues to pop up and every time I try to use one of the apps pro features it wants me to purchase FindMyCar again. This was a wast of my money! How manny others have been ripped off besides me??!!

I just paid the $1.99 and it didn’t give me any of the Pro features!! It charged me, and it’s like I didn’t even get the Pro version from the start, yet I still paid for it. Seriously disappointed and a scam :((

FindMyCar isn’t fully updated or built slightly bugged. It allows you to mark your car as parked but does not allow you to unmark your spot where I parked my car.

An okay app, but there’s no way to delete your location history or your favorites - if they fix that then I’d probably bump it up to a 4 star..
