FotoDa seems to have potential but it is so slow and buggy it’s practically unusable. When I first open FotoDa there’s just a white spiral on a black background FOREVER. It makes you wonder if it’s actually doing anything. Sometimes it takes 2 or 3 minutes to actually get to the opening screen and the tutorial, sometimes it never gets off the spiral. No one has time for that. I have many photo apps and none are as buggy and unusable as this. I’ve downloaded and deleted it many times on my iPhone XS and my iPad and it never works easily. Maybe the developer needs help. As it is it’s CRAP.

FotoDa seems as if it would do great things but it is extremely slow and there are absolutely no instructions. When I touch the photo selection button (4 squares) on FotoDa it freezes up and will not move. I am disappointed but hope there will be fixes to FotoDa. I would like to choose a photo or a few photos and have FotoDa abstract them.

I found FotoDa last night and was completely blown away by the complex and artistic montages this thing creates. Completely amazing! However, it’s lack of support for landscape format is a deal breaker. If you take only portrait oriented photos, you’ll love FotoDa. 90% of my photos are landscape oriented and how FotoDa doesn’t support that format is surprising and disappointing. So while it makes cool looking art with portrait oriented photos, it ruins photos in landscape orientation. If the developer ever fixes this glaring flaw, FotoDa could be over the top special.

FotoDa is my FAVORITE. It's totally broken now though. It crashes so fast every time now and selecting photos usually freezes the whole interface. It wasn't like this before the last update, plus it made me pay for premium again afterward. so guys pleeeease fix the crashing problem!
God why does it have to crash so much

I absolutely resent being directed to social media sites for instructions...particularly facecrook. That’s my hang-up I know but principles are principles. So I miss a website to which I can turn.
Is there any way to control size? Why are some images full size and some to small to reproduce when the source images are the same size? I’m finding my way thru most issues but just having some guidance would be useful. Like here’s a question:when an image forms but the spiral keeps spinning, am I supposed to wait, and if I do, can I go somewhere else and keep checking back, the way can with Pikazo?
Thanks...

I would love to see some upgrades to FotoDa because I think the images that come out of it are fantastic for creating abstract digital art or for inspiration for a painting. This Maybe one of the most visually appealing abstract image creator that I’ve used. There just aren’t a lot of settings and controls, so I am hoping the developer will expand the capabilities. If so I imagine I will be using it a lot! And will change my rating to 5 stars ✨

One of my most used apps! Expands creative options. One issue is that the segments off no longer seems to work since the Apple OS upgrades. I like no segments best, and was thrilled when that option was presented. However it no seems to not work. Was five stars until segments broke

I love FotoDa! The only things holding me back from a 5 star rating are instructions and being able to make and save higher resolution photos.
Please don’t ever jump on the subscription bandwagon like so many other apps are doing. I’d gladly pay more once but I’m not doing subscriptions any more.

And actually brilliant. My most used app. At least half of the results are disappointing and I have to resort to browsing Twitter while waiting for the magic to appear, but it’s all worth it — over 1000 startling keepers over the past month.
I wish it weren’t so easy to accidentally dismiss the new images when they appear, and I’d like to be able to select one photo, then let FotoDa take over and surprise me. Fewer bugs and greater speed would also be nice. Meanwhile, I’m madly in love with the current version.
Update: dev contacted me, turns out there's an undo function that allows you to recover a dismissed image. Solves the problem I mentioned above.

My only complaint is that I wish others would make some similar apps just like this one. It’s amazing! I love the art FotoDa generates from my own pictures. A must own for any digital glitch artist!

I freaking LOVE FotoDa!!! I can spend hours just immersed in abstract this app layer effects bliss.
this app helps me try out many more combinations of images in a shorter period of time and often reveals compositions I wouldn’t have thought of.
Highly recommended!

I can't stop using it. I upgraded soon after using the trial. Worth every penny. It is everything I ever wanted in an art app, but couldn't explain - even if I wanted to... but somehow, you needed it too - and made it for everyone! Thank you so much. I love it as is, the limited functions is kind of what I like about it. It allows you to combine things/images/ideas/your own art/public domain and make you see it all in new and beautiful ways. Great work. Thanks again.

This amazing app layers and mixes images in ways I can’t imagine. It comes up with surprising images from my library, but it also lets me choose images I want to layer and can instantly layer them in countless ways, with a tap on the screen.

I gave FotoDa access to my photos and it started making an incredible series of abstract images, about one out of three of which are very impressive. It’s turning my photos in a surreal journal of my life.

FotoDa has become foundational to most of my latest work, I can’t seem to leave it alone for long. An incredible autostacker that produces some absolutely stunning and completely un-predictable results.
The new version restores the horizontal format, adds layers for editing your stack giving you more control over outcomes (but not too much) also a higher resolution for output and more
It looks like a lot of work went into this upgrade and I now look forward to even more possibilities from this developer. That being said, it’s a great app for creative exploration just as it is...
I give it eleven stars

Downloaded this quite a while ago and thought it was cool, but a little too limited and simplistic. NOT ANYMORE! The last function additions have launched this to a whole new level of interesting. I’ve seen some wonderful abstraction apps start out great only to lose their focus and collapse under unnecessary complexity. Super refreshing to see the opposite happening here.. definitely hitting an inspirational sweet spot!

This brilliant app continues to be one of my favorite creative tools. I was hesitant to update, I didn’t want to chance losing something great, but I’m happy I did. The horizontal and high res additions were highly welcomed and I’m really enjoying the re-blend capabilities. Thanks for keeping this amazing artistic tool intact and improved yet again. I’m more than happy to give a few extra bucks for your continued efforts. Much respect.

this app is one of my *absolute* favorite apps (and I use a LOT of apps for my digital art!).
Whether I'm purely freestyling, combining my own images with intention, or working on experimental collaborations with other artists, it is indispensable element of my creative toolkit. I always end up with splendid happy accidents that open up my work in fresh, unexpected, new ways.
Mind-blowingly simple, yet mind-blowingly effective! THANK YOU! ❤️

I will go into deep mourning if FotoDa ever ceases to exist. It has done so much for my creativity. If I feel like I’m in a slump, I play around with this for a while and then I’m back. I kinda wish there were some sort of settings so we could exclude certain output formats (I hate hate hate segments). It would allow me to save an awesome image that’s covered up by another image in the corner, and then import that into a new creation.
Anyway, I’m super grateful for FotoDa. Thank you so much for making it!! 💜😺

I’ve been using a slew of glitch art apps over the years. Most of these apps have expected controls and standardize tricks (scan lines; 3D; warp) but few are as stripped down and pure as this app. this app brings back the wonder of you working your imagery in a (somewhat) uncontrolled/unpredictable way - it spits out art! Now, I’ve found some ways to work FotoDa for my liking, but it’s still so unpredictable and that makes it both fun and inspiring.

This is one of the greatest apps I’ve ever come across . I make beautiful art pictures from FotoDa . I simply love this art app . You can make full screen pictures and art with FotoDa . A lot of picture and art apps don’t allow you to do this . But FotoDa does . It’s a absolute joy to use FotoDa . I LOVE IT I LOVE FotoDa . Any of you out there just get FotoDa and you will be amazed . Thank You for creating such a wonderful art app to use . Wish I could post a picture on this you would see what I mean .

... because I like it SO much, but the bugs make it almost impossible to use! At first, it was just REALLY slow, but now it freezes every time I save an edit. I can save one photo and then I have to exit FotoDa completely and restart it, which is too much for me no matter how awesome it is. I still occasionally find myself going back, however, hoping the issue is fixed, but no luck yet. I hope the dev can fix the bugs because it’s the coolest app I’ve seen in a long time!
Update: I was really, really hoping that this last update fixed the freezing problem but I just opened FotoDa and as soon as I saved the photo.., it froze again. 😞
