Pure, unadulterated, trash application!

This application cannot handle 26 different IP’s being negotiated by a cell phone while driving around within five minutes. It freaks out when switching between 5G, 5G+, 4G, and other services. Makes your phone run slow and sluggish apps cannot work properly that I’ve already been vetted by Apple and CiscoSecurityConnector Store. I mean, PayPal app can’t work because Cisco hinders it because it can’t negotiate a proper connection between cell services!!! It just hinders things from working because he can’t handle IP changes while driving, walk and moving around. iPhones are not computers that sit in one place for a long period of time it constantly switches between cellular, Wi-Fi, and cellular over Wi-Fi services. Which CiscoSecurityConnector also has issues realizing what connection your using. I’m going to file a class action lawsuit for the loss of performance it places on iPhones that Cisco has over sold and promised corporations as a valuable tool when in reality it’s junk, wastes power, hinders proper operation and more.

Great concept, terrible execution

First time I tried to use this I couldn’t send group texts between iPhone/Android mixed groups. That was supposedly resolved in this most recent update so I decide to give it another try. Shortly after installing I noticed while trying to charge my phone it would get really hot and pop a message that charging stopped until phone cools off. As soon as I removed CiscoSecurityConnector I was able to charge my phone without abnormal heat. I also suspect that CiscoSecurityConnector was draining the battery faster than normal, but due to this overheating I really didn’t have a chance to know for sure.

Kills internet connectivity

It has taken a long time to figure this out… but randomly I’ll lose nearly all Internet capabilities through cellular data and Wi-Fi. This included web browsing and all apps that use data or Internet to function. In the past I’ve had to completely wipe my phone to restore Internet capabilities. I’ve recently learned that uninstalling CiscoSecurityConnector, immediately restored my Internet capabilities. The problem is that CiscoSecurityConnector is auto downloaded the next day. So the problem starts over again.

Crashes apps and restarts iPhone

We have over 100 iPhone XS and XRs. After installing CiscoSecurityConnector with the amp and umbrella policies, all or these phones started rebooting randomly. Disabling Umbrella seemed to resolve the issue until update 12.2 was released for iPhone. All the phones started rebooting again. Cisco support cannot tell us what the issue is and has not released any updates to CiscoSecurityConnector. It does not even show up as an application in the update app list. We have now removed CiscoSecurityConnector from all phones.

Zero stars

I will just keep appearing on my iPad and I never even got it before I don’t know if it’s a scam could’ve probably just trying to take it in for Information so it’s probably really bad because every time I go on CiscoSecurityConnector for like a while I’d leave CiscoSecurityConnector and I see that this same app back again even if I uninstall it it will come back so CiscoSecurityConnector is a complete scam

Pointless, don’t waste your time

Doesn’t support openDNS without an MDM which Cisco will try to up sell you on.

Then after that, the support docs say it doesn’t proxy dns traffic outside the corporate network. Really? Then why bother at all as the entire point is to secure OUTSIDE the office l.

CiscoSecurityConnector is a bait sales gimmick.

Don’t Intall

CiscoSecurityConnector is a waste of time and consumes battery life extremely fast. Please don’t install CiscoSecurityConnector for your sake.

Always loosing connection

CiscoSecurityConnector has connectivity issues across our organization in which every few months we seem to have to remove it from all of our phones because staff complain that loosing internet and that they have to reboot their phone to fix it. This issue was fixed several months ago but has now reappeared again in a recent update, causing us to once again remove it from all corporate iOS devices.

Finally, Endpoint Protection for iOS!

FYI this is not meant as a “free” endpoint protection package, it’s meant to “connector” for existing Cisco AMP for Endpoints and Cisco Umbrella subscribers (and a supported mobile device manager).
This is not really meant to be a consumer product. It’s meant for business.
See your local Cisco reseller for details.

Bugs worked out, it’s solid. Here is what I recommend:

- Meraki System Device Manager (a supported MDM is required)
- Cisco AMP for Endpoints subscription (required)
- Cisco Umbrella subscription (required)
