I loved XStitchPlus previously. Had tons of thread inputted into it, and it recently renewed for another year. Suddenly today, it wanted me to log in, and I had to reset my password, after which it informed me that my “free trial” had ended. I have proof it’s paid through August 2024. I plan to dispute the $9.99 with my credit card, but now I have to re- inventory all my thread, find a new app, then re-input all that data! I would give it zero stars if I could.
App is okay for thread and fabric inventory, but for charts, well it’s very frustrating. Not all designers are listed and you cannot add a chart without choosing a designer, no ability to add missing designer either. Very frustrating and time consuming. Also the lists are long. I would like to add my own so my list would be short and accurate without me having to just select someone to add it to inventory. Currently not using XStitchPlus.
I was trying to send feedback within XStitchPlus but it didn’t work. Anyway, I’m rating 2 stars for now because I believe this needs severe improvements. I like that I can include my floss ( but I hate how I have to save then go back into floss number for quantity instead of including quantity at the same time before I save). Not only does this
Good for inventory of charts but not fantastic. Do not have the ability to Mark the chart finished. Do not have a count of how many charts for each designer. Do not have the ability to add a designer or mark it not listed or leave it blank if the designer is not in the built in list. I had at least three that were not in the list.
Would also be nice to know how many completed I have done. And to be able to note qty when I have more than one chart. Should default to one but allow you to change and update the qty
I subscribed XStitchPlus the spring and upgraded to XStitch Plus recently. I cannot get into the account which, I remember being able to do previously, and there are no there is no contact information anywhere. All of my inventory and any other data I entered in the regular XStitch app needs to be transferred to Crosstitch plus. It did not occur and there are no instructions. There really should be a responsive rep from the developer.
XStitchPlus is really helpful and I would definitely recommend for anyone that has a large stash to keep track of.
That being said, the ability to add floss to your inventory is frustrating. You can’t search by number unless you already have it in your stash. You need to scroll back and forth between numbers. It can end up being time consuming (and painful with the repetitive motion) if you are entering a lot. Similar to that, your shopping list can only be made from what you already have entered. This is good to replace something, but not helpful if you are trying to make a list of what you’re missing from a line. The separate screen for shopping list does not indicate what is already in your stash, just lists all the numbers again.
I’ve been using the free version for a year or so for threads and recently started adding my charts and kits to it. I decided to upgrade to the subscription version to add a photo of the chart and in hopes of solving my one issue. Sometimes I have a pattern from an unknown designer. I’m unable to save it w/o a designer name and can not add the name to the designer list.
This seems like a great app, but it is missing one thing. There is no option that I can find in the Designers list to select not listed, other, or some other method of noting that the pattern didn’t come from one of the listed designers. I’ve tried adding patterns I bought on Etsy, but the shop is not listed and there is not always a “real” name associated with the shop. This means I can’t track those patterns. Add something like that, and definitely a five star pattern.
For the most part, I love this as an inventory app. I can see what threads I have and make lists of what I need to buy. I would love if these was an option to make shopping lists organized by project/chart.
My biggest complaint, however, is that as someone who buys a lot of charts from unknown or lesser known designers, there is no way to add those charts in my inventory. You can’t even leave the designer area blank.
I just purchased XStitchPlus (Feb 2023), and have been entering my charts, and magazines. I have patterns purchased off of Etsy that I thought might be too obscure to have a listing, but there they are!
I wanted to keep track of what patterns and magazines I have in my library (which may be getting more extensive than necessary), so that duplicates would not be purchased, and a floss list would be at hand as well.
The process is easy to learn, and at this point, I have not come across any glitches or problems.
I really enjoy using XStitchPlus. It keeps track of my threads, linens and it even keeps track of the beads that I have. I appreciate XStitchPlus more than you can know!
Doesn’t show my thread inventory on the front page. Please fix! Also could you make searching easier? Other than that I really like XStitchPlus!
Just loving this on my iPad, iPhone, etc…inventory everywhere!!! Would be great to have more “custom” options for makers for things which are “inherited”, but other than that, I’m a huge fan!
I have been them for over 10 years. The service is great!!!. If a new thread color is not yet on the list just email and within a very short time they add it. Can’t ask for better, quick service. Great prduct!!
This is a great way to keep track of your stitching supplies and you can take it with you on your phone when you go shopping. This means no doubles and saves money.
I like the fact that you can put submit pictures of the project that you are doing or all the ones that you have along with the information. I am a visual person. It is nice to see what I have instead of reading it and trying to remember. Thanks
I love being able to keep an inventory of my threads and fabric. It’s saved me loads of time searching my stash to see what I have. I love the notes area where I put purchase price and where and when I purchased. I also put the pattern I’m using a particular thread in so if I need that particular color I know where to find it. Great app!
But now I am having problems accessing my tools and my inventory. I was hoping that once I renewed the subscription things would work better. I want to uninstall the ap and then reinstall but I am not sure if all my information will be there if I do. If I can get it to work again I would give you a Five Star Plus!!!! I have told countless friend to get this ap
Thank you for any help
Robin
I bought XStitchPlus on March 6, 2021 without the free trial, and now it is asking me to renew. It has locked me out of XStitchPlus with no way to contact them. The subscription shows paid through March 6, 2022 on my Apple purchases. I was very happy with XStitchPlus until this happened. Please rectify the error.
They contacted me very quickly about the problem, explained how to correct it, and it was rectified. As I said before I am very happy with XStitchPlus .
Best program on the market Easy to use and so many features. Since it’s usable on a phone, inventory and shopping list is always on me
