You have to download the maps every time

I loved the old Navitime UK transit app. When they upgraded to include additional maps, you have to download the maps every time you use it. I wish you had an option to select a default map and it kept it local. I have moved to google maps, seeing as I need to use data.
Good app but critical flaw

Does navigation via public transportation well.
The problem is that it makes you download the map you want to use every time you open the app. It does not store the data long and it’s just unreliable and slow. It works great until you close the app and try to open it again.
