Awful!

The graphics are the only thing that is great about this game. This game is confusing af. They don’t really show you how to play or what you are even doing. The game ended and I still don’t know what the story was about. I am utterly confused and so annoyed that I payed $7 for this. I will try and get a refund, I don’t even care about the money I just want this game removed from my memories. NOT WORTH EVEN $1!!

Horrible. If you were selling me a short story I would be like cool some decent acting in here (a bit) and interesting. But as a interactive “game” all you do is see a bunch video and wonder what’s gonna happen then it’s over! I fell asleep I was so bored waiting for something to happen then to wake up and “play” for two more mins to find it’s over, I couldn’t believe it. What a rip!

I really liked Her Story, so I was really excited to play Telling Lies which has been on the top of my “to buy” list for a while now. Unfortunately, I’m finding it more tedious than Her Story. The interface is really confusing and I don’t like how certain clips start playing in parts where the key term you searched is mentioned (for example, the “ok, love you” clip in the very beginning) and when this happens, you have to rewind the entire clip, which is frustratingly slow. There is also conversations between certain people, and you have to piece them together because you can only listen to 1 side of them at a time (if you know what I mean) and figure it out. Some of the clips are awfully long, and have silent moments, which makes me become impatient. And unlike Her Story, you are unable to take notes and write down certain key terms.
I’m going to give it another chance later today, but I really hope that there is an update that resolves these issues. In the meantime, I recommend playing Her Story instead.
