The combat is so slow that I can’t even play it. Opening chests is a clunky mechanism and just as slow as combat. Needs some polishing.

In response to dev comments: I have a high speed internet connection and have tried on WiFi. What I meant was that the overall speed of play is slow. The mechanics are clunky and slow to respond when you switch menus and screens.

I have played this game for years and spent quite a bit on in game purchases but due to increasingly poor levels I’m considering leaving the game. An upgrade several weeks left several players unattached from their accounts for weeks with several losing their accounts never to return. In the latest debacle after Halloween event, I’ve been able to use in game shop to collect daily rewards or make purchases. I’m going through support group who has alternated between telling me there is nothing wrong, to wait for the update because that will fix it or delete and reinstall. 16 + days later and no fix. Deleted and reinstalled multiple times and updated. Support is basically ghosting me but that’s it all bad because it keeps me from spending money on their game.

You can find plenty of reviews talking about the update from years ago that reduced the amount of strategic options in the game and turned it into a p2w fest. What most reviews don't mention is that the game is constantly riddled with bugs. A few months ago there was a review that locked numerous players (myself included) out of their accounts for upwards of a month. Support was incredibly slow in responding and many players quit. So this old game that started as a unique entry in mobile card gaming has become less than a shell of its former self and that is disappointing.

Prior to v2, I would have given this game 4.5 stars. It was a highly enjoyable little game.

With the advent of v2, they ruined the game. It now requires extremely rare components to level up cards (I’ve been raiding the last week and gotten exactly 0 purple components). They also switched the game to 90% luck with the addition of spells (you get a choice from random 3 each round but some are way better than others) and crits (it’s impossible to plan for if/when a small % chance will come up).

Unless things are fixed soon, I’m done with this game (and I’ve spent money on it in the past).

They delete bad reviews. Constant connections errors while playing. Shows slow connection while on WiFi or mobile. No matter if everything else works fine, they have a slow connection message. Because of the slow connections you lose your battles. And now I can’t connect at all. 0 stars!!!

The original version of this game was nothing short of addictive. That was short-lived once they did a big update and turned it into a game of chance where, not only can’t you count on knowing what damage will be coming or going, but it now also requires ridiculous amounts of multiple components to upgrade your characters. No doubt the changes were made to get players to spend more money.

A perfect example of greed turning quality into garbage. RIP Card Heroes V1.

Grate game excellent art and a ton to collect. Only thing is you hit a pretty big wall on the second day if you don’t buy keys. There’s no way to win in the area, or proceed with the story quests unless you drop a couple $$. The only way to make progress after the first week is they weakly challenge battles on Sundays. Where if you score high enough you can get good card experience…. The rest of it? Good like trying to move without some cash.

This game is fun but you will quickly get stuck unless you spend money. There are not enough varied cards to construct different strategies to overcome this. Basically, you will be mostly using the same cards and without spending money, you will always lose.

Edit to Dev Response: So your idea of “honing your skills” is getting a measly 10 gold everyday from the arena? You know it takes 450 gold to add 5k exp to a RANDOM 3 cards right. I spent 10 dollars on this game and I’m STILL stuck in the SECOND world in adventures. Opponents just have cards that are 3-5 levels above yours and due to lack of variety like I said, you will NEVER win unless you spend an astronomical amount of gold to level your cards. It takes 5 dollars to level up 3 RANDOM cards by one level. It costs one dollar to level anything above level 10. You do the math. Fun concept ruined by greed.

The game is fun, the variety of things you can do and the simple mechanics are great. The game is a little too hard though, once you get to the 3rd “world” you’re stuck unless you pay real money. I’d love to advanced more in the game but I’ve been stuck for the last 3 months because I can’t win anything or upgrade anything. Players still should be able to advanced in a game without spending real money.
Also for new cards, I’m sure y’all are imaginative enough 😉 can’t wait to see what new cards you come up with!

I absolutely love(ed) this game. It was so much fun but after the big update to where I need daggers and staffs to be able to upgrade my characters, I can barely get them upgraded now. It’s definitely made the game less enjoyable to play when you struggle to upgrade your characters.

Game seems decent, but it won’t turn you loose to play!

The game over all is good…been playing a couple years, but the developers have issues all the time with their servers and blame it on players connectivity. This is frustrating and has caused people to quit the game.

Game generally has fun character abilities and combos, and includes nice tactical combat. Who has spent the most usually determines the winner, of course, but I’ve gotten pretty far without spending money.

I love the game and it’s mechanics, the arena where you have to debate who goes first on a coin is a god decision as well, but the fact at the end of the round no matter who ends it even if it’s the person who went first, it goes to the person who won the coin toss, so players can play twice is a row technically, which makes it a huge disadvantage to lose the coin toss, it’s also difficult to level up characters seeing as how strong the enemies get in the campaign, my suggestion would to be able to let players play levels they already completed and gain rewards from it so we can keep progressing forward. All in all it’s a great game and I’m not the best at explaining but I hope this helps lead the game towards a better place, thanks for reading have a good day!

Fun I think it would be cool to have a card that takes agro forcing people to attack it

I would like to see a demon from hell as a new card that has no attack powers of his own but you can summon the devil to attack an opponent. The attack comes from hell so it doesn't fly across the screen it comes up from the opponent that you attack.. Well that's just my idea

Haven't seen the full card list, but maybe a char that hits both for slightly less dmg but can swap the positions of the frontline. That can mess with melees that can only attack straightforward.

Love the game. People that don’t take their turn shouldn’t have an auto attack happen for them. Or they aren’t going to take a turn, it should be like they forfeit their turn. I got beat by someone that wasn’t even their just because they had better cards.

I absolutely love this game mostly because of the fact that it keeps you hooked throughout all stages of the game which is quite rare in games these days.
And also here are my card ideas: how about a high health ranged monster that has this ability: “your cards always hit”. Or a card that says; “set a monsters attack equal to its health”
My only complaint is how hard it is to find rare and epic items. But so far I’ve been doing fine

Game is lots of fun. I think a good card idea would be a ice dragon that could freeze a row every other turn and just attack normally the other turns
